The guy on Fox just brought up Howard Dean, and by that I mean the speech that sank Howard Dean's campaign. Marcus Freeman just had the sort of screw-up that gets people fired on the tarmac, and yet here the world is making fun of the winning coach.

The reality of it is that people can't take Ryan Day seriously. If I was an image advisor, I'd tell him to get rid of the beard. No-one can take a man seriously who dies his beard, so he can look like that guy on Yellowstone.

Dude you can't get stuffed on 4th down on two finesse playcalls then gain a single yard and win a game scoring 17 points because the other team's OSU grad coach couldn't count to 11 on two plays in a row and beat your chest over it. That is softness to the highest degree

Also, couldn't help but notice your team has never beaten Michigan since you made an account here. You seem like bad luck

I guess we will never know PB but hey I guess you guys are almost halfway there if you add up the last two years. You are defending your coach throughout this whole thread because he is constantly acting like a tough guy. The reality is no one looks at Ryan Day or his team as tough. Finesse, good offense, excellent receivers, elite QBs (except this year). These are some of the things people thing of Ryan Day’s teams. Tough is not one of them so just stop trying to defend it.

The hang 100 comment is still funny because your team has gotten absolutely smoked by Michigan since that time.

If the best thing you have going for you in the rivalry is that you would have won a hypothetical Covid game against half of our team from a few years ago, then that speaks volumes about how far your team has fallen. Cryin’ Day and his Charmin Warriors.

Your QB is just a guy, your o-line can’t be trusted to gain a yard against 11 defenders, and your defense still gets run over late in games.  And your coach is borrowing his rallying cry from Detroit, MICHIGAN.

ND was the more physical team and it wasn't even close. Ohio State won because of Freeman's shitty coaching over the final two minutes and because Kyle McCord made some clutch throws and bailed out OSU's front seven, who were consistently manhandled by ND's OL.

"Ohio versus the World" confuses me.

I lived in Ohio for many years - I know those folks.  Most Ohioians think Ohio IS the world, all "culture" (in their minds) ends at the state line.

After that lucky ass win.  (Basically ND losing the game not OSU winning the game let be honest).  I hate Ryan Day more than ever.  What a total ass.  He's like in the same league as Bryan Kelly for me.

Look… I know you guys hate OSU/Ryan Day. That’s fine, its a rivalry. But his team just went on the road and beat a top 10 team in dramatic fashion. McCord in his 4th start, on the final drive converted 3rd and 10, 4th and 7, 3rd and 19.

The guy has a reason to be hyped. I don’t expect you to like anything he ever says, but his team now has a significant win, and that’s something you all don’t have yet.

With all due respect, I expect you to come into The Game undefeated and favored at home. But anyone thinking it’ll be a cakewalk is not living in reality.

He had his opponent gift wrap him a victory by playing two straight plays with ten men on the field. That did not help his case when he spouted about how “tough” his team is.

Sure, he can say whatever he wants, but he looked like a jackass.

There is no world or alternate universe that exists where you wouldn’t be saying the exact same thing if Michigan just won in the same fashion.

If you had any self-awareness you'd be embarrassed by your coach's behavior.

I do not condone everything Jim says and does. I've known Spartans who did not like everything Dantonio said and did.

That doesn't mean you have to publicly bash him, but coming here with this weak (or soft) defense of him is silly.

Enjoy the win. It was fun college football.

Come on. After that pounding in 2021, Day and OSU complained about flu. After 2022, the complain about was about 5 plays. OSU and Day cannot accept when they are beaten. So, don't tell us about how you have beaten ND on the road. ND is a good team and with a better coach, they would have handled OSU better.

No one here thinks OSU game will be a cake walk. Have you read our comments here. We don't think MSU game will be a cake walk. We know we will get everyone's best shot. Look how tough Rutgers played us.

I think it is going to come down to fourth quarter against bucks and the dreaded running game. Let us see who can prevail.

Dude, it's not that he's hyped over beating a top 10 team on the road - he should be hyped for that!  It's what he actually said in context to the game, which was horrible.  He called out a talking head that has FAR more coaching accomplishments than he'll ever achieve.  He said his team has ONE bad half in two years of football.  (Really?  Which one was that?)  He had to tell the world how tough his team is because the entire world recognizes that it's soft.  (It still is soft, BTW...)  OSU against the world?  They get every call in the books and were gifted a CFP appearance JUST LAST YEAR!

He had no reason to say anything that he said.  He's a joke.  I get that he's your coach, so enjoy him.  But don't expect us to buy in to it...

The way Notre Dame ran it down their throat in the second half gives me a lot of warm fuzzies, bad play calling in their last drive tanked them.

and McCord looks to be a good QB, but I can also tell he isn’t the world beater All American that Haskins thru Stroud were either. (Also, the Meyer guys, but they were good for different reasons)

I have a good feeling about the game after watching OSU against a comparable opponent to Michigan.

Still get nervous about your receivers and the thought of a coverage bust, but other than that, I feel good. As good as I have since 2003 or so.

Probably should've given McCord some reps earlier then if he's so inexperienced. He and JJ are from the same recruiting class and yet JJ has 4 times as many career wins, two more division titles, two more conference titles, a playoff start, etc., etc. Shouldn't have spun your wheels with that Stroud dude who never won a meaningful game or championship in his life, could've used those reps on a dude with 0 passing TDs in the state of Indiana through two games this year

I thought there was a rule that you don't respond to an individual slight in a public forum.  This is where you recognize everyone that contributed to this fine moment and then shut up.

Not exactly a Harbaugh response.
