With all of the All Americans and high draft picks on that defense, it was Harris who was voted the MVP of the defense. He anchored one hell of a unit (a unit that expect to be surpassed by this year’s defense).

Growing up on the eastside of Detroit 24 hour coney islands were my go to growing up, so for me Fleetwood Diner was the go to late night food spot

My wife does not care for diamonds. She was more into moissanite for its fire. In certain lighting the colors and fire the ring gives off is incredible. I was able to get a studded band a a 1 3/4 ct ring for a far more reasonable price than a diamond. No one has ever (to my knowledge) noticed it was a gemstone and not a diamond.

I would recommend to everyone to at least explore moissanite as an option

There are never soda bottles/cans littered on the side of the road. That is one thing you never see. Those get picked up quickly

07/13/2018 - 10:10pm Couple of those characters…

Couple of those characters really stand out to me. McNulty was the closest thing the show had to a protagonist next to the city itself. His character was great, even when he was a beat cop in season 4.

Carcetti was great how we got to see how the political machine and pursuit of power can change people who legitimately had good intentions at first.

Bubbles was one of the few characters with a happy ending in the show; kinda fitting.

Two that you left out who were two of my favorite characters were Cutty and Bunny Colvin. Season 3 and 4 they were majore reasons why those were the two best seasons.

That picture captures exactly what he was like when I called out his name and said how hilarious he was at the ND game. He put his hands out like that and was like “that’s me!” And then tossed me the beer.

The 2016 season was the pinnacle. Old site and MGoBlogHD app. The app was much better for the board, and the homepage stories were easy to navigate. Not being able to upvote was worth the cleanliness of the board, and the desktop version was much much better.

I would pay more for the old site to be back and the HD app, than I do for HTTV that’s for sure

Utah. The 08 team sucked and they were pretty good (13-0 beating Alabama in the Sugar Bowl) so that one doesn’t bother me.

The 2014 game was hell. The rain, the Clay heisman pose, Gardner and Morris equally sucking. I stayed in the parking lot and re-entered to watch the game end.

2015 was an infuriating game full of missed chances. Utah is a middle of the road Pac 12 team and I am tired of them having our number.

07/01/2018 - 10:39pm I agree. Rozier looked good…

I agree. Rozier looked good in the postseason, and Tatum is the real deal. Even without Kyrie, if they had Hayward they would have made the finals and probably won at least one game.

Kyrie could get them a couple good pieces; preferably another stretch shooter. Rozier, Brown, Taytum, Hayward and Horford along with some strong pieces could give real test to GS

I would assume they/he is pretty confident they are getting Kawhi.

Lonzo Ball, Luol Deng, Brandon Ingram, Kyle Kuzma, Brook Lopez, MO WAGNER

Ingram and Kuzma are decent players, but man are they at least two good players away from making it out of the second round.

I thought they looked pretty good in a dome. I think that maize uniforms during a maize out would be well...too much Maize.

Reminds me of the 2013 MBB game vs OSU

I hope this doesn’t mean all maize uniforms

06/26/2018 - 6:23pm I went most of my life being…

I went most of my life being able to have great stress relievers in my life. I had a freak health incident two years ago (severe heat exhaustion; very nearly a heat stroke). All of sudden I found myself with what felt like heart palpitations, shortness of breath and no longer had the confidence I had before. Normal life functions seemed more difficult. I found myself at work being very lightheaded and worried. Michigan was a great reliever because when I was in the moment I felt like my old self. However, I wasn’t.

Prior to that incident my life was going extremely well. Just bought a new home and new car, my brother was getting married and I was about to get engaged. That fall (2016) I went through the ringer of tests on my body and heart. Nothing abnormal at all. My doctor believed I had generalized anxiety disorder. I was certain it was not that. I went a year battling these feelings. On the outside most people would have thought nothing was wrong, but those close to me knew that something was off. A year ago I finally took medication I was prescribed the previous fall. After about a month I started to feel a tad better.

I sit here now in the airport coming home from my honeymoon and I can honestly say Lexapro has been a lifesaver. I feel better now than I have in years. I no longer feel anxious about everyday things. 18 months ago I never could have gotten on a plane and done all the spontaneous things my wife and I have done.

Counseling, a strong support system, a solid faith foundation, and a little help from medication has made the world of differences. A year ago I could have only dreamed to feel this at ease.

This is the most important Michigan season in over a decade. The effects of this year will be felt for years and years to come.

06/22/2018 - 9:30pm He posts constructive …

He posts constructive (borderline excessive) criticism. Hes a little too brash in my opinion but he backs his opinions up. Yeah when we lost to OSU in basketball Beilein did seem to have lost the team, yes our recruiting in football is a bit underwhelming.

I wouldn’t even call him a troll. He doesn’t post comments like “Harbaugh sucks” “Mo Wagner is trash.”

They have had what seems like 20 Holiday brothers. I think Aaron is finally the last one.

06/20/2018 - 3:17pm I don’t find Cowberd that…

I don’t find Cowberd that entertaining or useful.

However, he, or any sports talk host is nowhere near as bad as Max Kellerman. Max Kellerman is the sports talk equivalent to an internal hemorrhoid. Your ass just hurts listening to the guy.

06/20/2018 - 12:19pm I would say Peters looked…

I would say Peters looked pretty good vs Wisconsin. He seemed to be findin his groove at that point.

Speight never fully recovered from injury. He might have physically but mentally he had not.

O’Korn was bad a lot of the time. He played good vs Purdue, actually was halfway decent at Penn St and managed the game well vs OSU up until that last punt he threw.

I’d be more excited to the day in the future where they bring back the 2018 team and celebrate.

We have two 3 stars who play as good or better than some 5 stars.

Now if we signed Najee, that would have worked out. That guy is in another stratosphere than Green and Walker

06/19/2018 - 1:33am If I had to rank my concerns…

If I had to rank my concerns by position going into this season I would say first is obviously Left Tackle. That was the biggest concern (next to QB) in 2016 and Newsome was our best lineman up until his injury. Let’s hope for that this year. Next, is WR. The talent is there, but the production isn’t yet. A good QB however should lower that concern quite rapidly.

On defense I am mildly concerned about our 1 and 3 and safeties. Dwumfour and Solomon hopefully can be solid; which they have shown in flashes. Marshall and Mone are veterans who have shown to be decent. Safeties need to be better in coverage. Kinnel I think just had a bad few games but he can be at a Wilson/Dymonte level I feel. Metellus, I just don’t know yet. If he can be like Delano and be a lights out tackler, we will be alright.

This is the first year in a while I think many are underselling our talent. I expect us to go to Columbus with the B1G East title on the line.

06/19/2018 - 12:22am Do you expect this defense…

Do you expect this defense to be better than 2016? Our starting d-line that year was Wormley-Glasgow-Hurst (technically Godin but Hurst had the starter reps)-Taco. Also had Gary and Winovich rotating in. Linebackers were good as well. Back 5 of Lewis-Stribling-Thomas-Hill-Peppers.

I think our first 4 D-Line might be better than ‘16 but nowhere near as deep. Linebackers will be much better than 16. In the secondary I don’t think our safeties are as good, but corners are as a unit better; and Hudson is equal to Peppers. If this years D is as good as ‘16 then it is a success.

Offense should be better. Better QB. Better RBs. No Butt, but a better TE unit and the WR’s I expect to be spectacular.

Adidas’ attempt at true maize was actually a lot worse than their Sun color

06/14/2018 - 10:55pm DPJ, Black, Perry, Collins,…

DPJ, Black, Perry, Collins, Martin, McDoom, Schoenle. Gentry, McKeon, Eubanks, Wheatley.

Pass catching should not be a concern this year. If these guys don’t put up high numbers, it’ll be due to QB injury, LT issues, or both.

Tough for this kid at Clemson. Kelly Bryant played well this year and all reports point to Trevor Lawrence being the real deal

06/05/2018 - 9:39pm I stopped at the McDonalds…

I stopped at the McDonalds on Stadium near Maple the night before the Maryland game in 2016. Kareem was there with Shelton Johnson. It was surprising to see two players out (they walked there it appeared) so late on a game night, even though they both were redshirting.

Kareem also had some killer dance moves at the Blue Lep the night of the Spring game in 2016.

06/04/2018 - 9:35am There have only been 3 games

There have only been 3 games in Harbaugh's tenure where the D played poorly (2 and 1/2 if you want to get technical).

QB play is something that is going to have to improve, and sooner or later we are going to want to see someone we have recruited to come and take the reigns and succeed.

One of my biggest gripes with Harbaugh has been his tendancy to go Lloyd-ball when holding the lead against quality opponents. The inability to pick up 1st downs with the ball and the lead vs MSU in 15, Iowa and OSU in 16, still sting.

The offense this year needs to be crisp. It was painful watching it last year; specifically in regards to the passing game. Not having a quality backup QB, someone believing that Ulizio was the best option at RT, and young receivers made for a perfect storm; but jeez, watching all the parts move together was cringeworthy. So slow, so out of sync, so ineffective.

06/03/2018 - 2:54pm I really hope a young RB

I really hope a young RB shows some flashes this year. Higdon is an every down back type and Evans is the perfect spell with his versatility. Hopefully we see something from Walker, Samuels, or Taylor to point forward to the future

05/31/2018 - 8:29am 10-1 going into Columbus with

10-1 going into Columbus with the lone loss being at NW (has Iowa 2016 written all over it).

I do believe we win vs OSU this year and get to 11-1 where we will play Wisconsin for the B1G title.

05/30/2018 - 11:56pm Left Tackle

Left Tackle. Mark my words that is all we need to be the best team in the B1G. It’s a huge what-if I know. Runyan will be fine at RT, and the interior guys will be maulers in the run game like last year and improved in pass blocking. We have the best QB we’ve had in some time. Higdon and Evans are the best duo at RB since, I don’t know Hart and Minor in 06? All accounts point to DPJ Black and Perry being super solid in the receiving category. McKeon, Gentry, and Eubanks give us 3 more huge receiving threats.

Now the defense, dear god. Gary and Winovich will be unblockable. Solomon and Dwumfour will clog the middle. Bush has potential to be an All American and I trust Don Brown whoever he puts alongside him. Hudson will be better at Viper in 18 than Peppers was in 16. Long and Hill are future 1st rounders at corner; don’t forget Ambry and Watson too. Our safeties might be boring but they are effective. We have a weapon at Kicker. Punter is still an issue, but our return game is set. We will be great this year. We will go to South Bend and give Grimace a Hamburger. After that, watch.

Let them know Michigan will step to anyone; Franklin, Dantonio, Meyer whoever. Our name is our name!

05/30/2018 - 11:54pm We will not lose at home to

We will not lose at home to Penn St or Wisconsin; nor will we lose at MSU. It will come down to Columbus, can we get the King Kong sized monkey off our backs?

05/30/2018 - 9:00pm The future is so bright! I am

The future is so bright! I am not worried about the 2, 3, or 4 position the next few years. If we can land Carton and if the hype on Dejulius is real, the PG position is in good hands. I got a lot of hope for Castleton as a stretch 5 in a couple years.

Dear Lord, Beilein is a God

05/28/2018 - 11:46am JBB, Brederson and Big

JBB, Brederson and Big Mike/Ruiz were very good at run blocking. Onwenu and JBB were just so bad at pass blocking, and I think Kugler was almost as bad of a center as Mealer was.

Luckily we have a QB who can evade the rush better this year, but those interior guys need to be better picking up the blitzes and if we have to go with JBB at LT he can’t be an olay-master like last year

05/28/2018 - 11:42am There were really only two

There were really only two positions of major concern entering 2016: QB and LT. Speight proved to be serviceable with the weapons around him, and Newsome was our best OL until he got hurt.

Going into this season both tackle positions are huge question marks. WR group is talented but super unproven. On defense both DT spots are pretty unproven, along with our safeties who have been spectacularly average in their careers.

The potential is there for this team, but I am not going into this season with the confidence I had in 2016. The presumed huge improvement at QB is key and Higdon and Evans is much better than we had in 16. Throw in an OL that has proven to be great in run blocking and 3 TE’s who can make plays. We could have a very special season, but we need more question marks to be answered positively this year than 2 years ago to be in a position to go to Columbus for a shot at Indy.
