The hopeless masses at 11W…

The hopeless masses at 11W are just sad that OJ died before he found the real killers.   And that was TOTALLY PI in the 2002 Fiesta Bowl, thanks goodness an honest ref from Ohio was on the spot to call it.

Wish I could go but live too…

Wish I could go but live too far away.  I'll tune in on TV.  It sounds like a great event to take younger kids to.

It did not work out well for…

It did not work out well for them, it was the center's fault.  So this situation is TOTALLY differ... hey, wait a minute...

This sucks.  He was one of…

This sucks.  He was one of those work-hard heroes for me as a Dolfan.  Mandich and Rose were big Vontae fans.

FAU is a commuter school…

FAU is a commuter school that is located where there is a LOT of pleasurable distraction.  Having lived in South Florida for a long time, it seemed like a miracle they were a Final Four team.

No doubt.

No doubt.

As a 48 y/o, there have been two top catharses:  2021 tOSU and 1997 WCF

I remember where I was for…

I remember where I was for both 3/26/97 and G2 WCF G2.  Both were the same feeling.

Maybe Sharty will get lucky…

Maybe Sharty will get lucky twice and TIzzo will get hot and heavy on the telephone with the next No-Means-No Lady, because that’s the kind of thing it will take to dislodge that stubborn barnacle from their ship’s hull.

Also, he’s also a gaping asshole.

I'll buy whatever erases M00N and the Anthony Thomas game from my memory stack.

I guess add in the slide-kick game we won as well since that game summed up the Yakety Sax nature of our program at that time.

In this order, I've lived in…

In this order, I've lived in the Eastern, Central, and now Pacific time zone as of two CFB seasons.  I could never fathom the appeal of 9 am kickoffs.  Now I get it.

1.  This clause is somewhat…

1.  This clause is somewhat broad but as long as the current investigations don't reveal something Truly Bad IRL (and not "bad" according to the current regulatory environment of CFB and the hanging judges over on 11W) then I don't see a problem.

2.  It's a 30-day or so window for Coach to keep what he had already negotiated in his current contract.  No problem here.

3.  A prudent clause for Coach re arbitration panel.

None of this seems unreasonable to me given what he's brought to the program.

I have no personal animus…

I have no personal animus against Mr Stroud, but the Ravens are a Harbaugh Company production.  So, here's to Brother John and his guys Overtaking Ass.

2022 Ohio State.  2nd Half,…

2022 Ohio State, end of 1st half.  We took some punches but we're still there, having fun.  2nd Half, Y'All Soft, Flag Planting.

I got a feeling of emotion…

I got a feeling of strong emotion during the Rose Bowl right before 4th and 3 during the interminable TOs.  I had to use the WC (just normal course, was not beveraging during the game, unusually) and (I'm not being a smart ass) as I approached my destination, I felt tears realizing Michigan Football had reached the Boos Level and was about to dispatch BPONE.

I've live far from Michigan since 2001 but watch every game, usually at home, and just at that moment I realized we we're one realistic D stop away from killing every demon that's haunted Michigan since 1997 (my junior year).

I'm just over them and their…

I'm just over them and their BS.  Just let's have some basic rules and player contracts and let the market play itself out.

I hold no ill will for CJ. …

I hold no ill will for CJ.  I made fun of him while he was a Buckeye, but as a fan of football, I'm glad he's out there doing well.  We had a QB at Michigan long ago who did pretty well once he got past his constipated college coach.

That was a nice pass to Nico Collins.

If he left Bama because he…

If he left Bama because he was feeling heat from the fanbase, then he really picked the wrong place to go play.

Any port in a storm, I guess.  I'm sure it will be lots of fun there, look how much fun the guys leaving had.

I'll admit, I spent a few…

I'll admit, I spent a few minutes over on 11W soaking in their lamentations.  Some of them are talking about quitting CFB.  I hope they keep their word!

They fucking suck.  Right…

They fucking suck.  Right now is a fun time to spend over at 11W, however.

Then Sopwith spoke, the dam broke.

Now she's made demi-Krauts with some City of London banker dork.

Lived in Texas for a while.  Driving IH-20 west from Texarkana, you can see the lush Southeast give way fairly quickly to the still-watered but noticably drier North Texas plains in which Dallas is situated.  Then, barely out of Forth Worth on the way to Abilene, starts to all get dry and Western, very fast.  By the US-84 split off IH-20 to Lubbock you're in the real stuff.  Underrated drive.  But Dallas is not the desert.

Living in Austin back then, I would drive up to SW Colorado (Pagosa, Durango) and the only way to do that efficiently was daisy-chaining (a very few) Interstates, (mostly) US Highways, and (some) state roads all the way up there diagonally NW.  Really good times, saw a lot of our country that way.

Keep going down IH-20 until…

Keep going down IH-20 until you hit IH-10 and you'll be there.  One of my favorite parts of the country.

Thanks, Prudential, for presenting the Rose Bowl.  Couldn't have had a game without you, or your friends, Capital One and Dr Pepper.

I don’t see FSU in the SEC. …

I don’t see FSU in the SEC.  UF, Alabama, and Auburn do not want another school in their backyard.

It never looked like McCord…

It never looked like McCord and Third Base had a good relationship.  Between that and just in general the Buckeyes did not seem to be having a lot of fun this season out there, perhaps its a cultural problem.  I mean, look at CJ Stroud... he went from looking fairly dour at tOSU to being mostly likely ROY in the NFL and showing a lot of joy in doing so.

I hope for the best for Mr McCord.

I live 90 minutes away from Pasadena and initially had thought about going and have the means to, but I’m not going to.  It’s just not worth it to me.

Instead, my Texas grad friend and I are going to hang out all day and grill some lobsters and drink some beer and if the games suck, then whatever.

Why hypothecate w/r/t Hoke,…

Why hypothecate w/r/t Hoke, RR, Late Carr at all?  It sucked.  Things are better now.

Kirk needs a breather from things.  He looks like stuff is eating him up these days.

ESPN has Institutionalized him.

I think you're on to a…

I think you're on to a future trend here.  If you're a sure-fire NFL high draft pick but on #12 seed, do you just not risk it, shut it down and opt out?  We went as deep as possible this year in my living memory with 6 teams having a legit argument for being in the playoffs.*  I can't ever see a #12 to #8 seed running the table for a Natty.

*I said SIX, not SEVEN.  #7, no you don't belong.  SEVEN, now go lie down by your bowl and go to sleep.

Didn't watch it and fully biased but when I see Mr Woodson out there vs Peyton I'm really goddamn happy Charles is our guy.  He should be the prime media voice for us

3.  Illannoy 2022.  A desultory afternoon but we won, but my BPONE was raising its ugly head after that game.  Then:

NOPE.  11/26/22

Missouri vs tOSU.  Go Tigers…

Want to see how the Spartoons do in their bowl.

Buckeye Copium Medicine…

Buckeye Copium Medicine Cabinet:

"Michigan cheats.  Michigan is losing all their players next year.  We have more talent than Michigan. Harbaugh to NFL.  NCAA death penalty pending, wins vacated.  We'll get 'em next year in C-Bus."

I prefer to not drink…

I prefer to not drink Buckeye tears, but rather bottle them up for use as a personal lubricant as needed.

THA, since you asked.

My strategy will be to wait…

My strategy will be to wait until the day of the game since I live only an hour from the Rose Bowl to see if I can score a much less expensive ticket than what is available today.

Initially, I was really excited about getting a ticket, but with the reality of the current high ticket costs plus parking plus sitting around during the interminable number of TV commercials plus (let's face it, our old friend BPONE) our history of blowing it in Bowl games has me leaning towards watching at home with all its comforts and affordability.  My joy if we win won't be diluted by being at home to watch it, but my BPONE will be mitigated if I'm not spending $500+ in the process of being BPONEd.  I think all-in my threshold is $250.

Oh. I see, this is for the CHAMPIONSHIP GAME.  My bad!

The four best and deserving…

The four best and deserving teams are UW, UM, UT, and Bama.  In that order.

That was a terrible look for…

That was a terrible look for B1G Commissioner.  Coach Harbaugh likely went out of his way to step aside so they weren't together up there (because Coach Harbaugh knows its about The Team).

The B1G Commissioner squeaked a few noises out, handed it off to Zinter, and then ran away.

In counterpoint, B12 commissioner went up there earlier today and took it like a man.

There’s a chance UW jumps us…

There’s a chance UW jumps us to #1 based on strength of schedule, so it would be us vs Horns in the Rose Bowl.  I’m fine with that since I live an hour away from Pasadena.

At this point in his life …

At this point in his life (58), it's probably now or never if Knowles wants to be a first-time FBS HC.  Going to Dook and being HC there with a patient fanbase may sound a lot better to him than sticking around C-bus for another year with the outrageously petulant, needy, and delusional Scarlet and Gray mob.

Also, the Bucknuts keep talking about how they'll get us next year in C-bus but what the hell are they bringing back next year that's so special?  Realistically, I don't see them as a legit contender in 2024 with their current returning personnel.  So once we find another fun way to beat them next year in the Shoe, he may be out looking for a new job anyway (along with Third Base).

The culture at tOSU gives…

The culture at tOSU gives off the vibe that the program is just a display window for some of the NFL's future talent.  I don't see any nastiness over there anymore, nor do they ever look like they are having fun playing together during the game, but rather just punching into a job.

You would of thought that after we killed them in front of their fans and planted the flag in 2022 that the Buckeyes would have been looking for some pre-game disrespekt and scuffles with us, but instead they had a dance-off on the sidelines amongst themselves.

TL;DR: No Audacity, no Unmitigated Gall.

Don't bother, rest up.
