12/11/2018 - 2:18pm I love Sam and the…

I love Sam and the information he provides to us, but I also am not naive to the fact that he has to keep everyone interested in recruiting in his line of work.  I have a feeling this is "we still have a chance, even if it is less than 1%."  I would put this in the I want everyone to remain interested in recruiting from now until Dax signs because that is my job.

12/10/2018 - 8:54pm I couldn’t agree with you…

I couldn’t agree with you more. Let’s hope the coaching failure starts early next year.

12/10/2018 - 5:27pm I think Haskins will…

I think Haskins will definitely go pro. Also, I know OSU is at a reloading standpoint, but it is not going to be an easy transition for Ryan Day. They will be losing several key players on both sides of the ball, more than likely replacing their Def Co, and losing one of the best coaches that has coached college football. The B1G is as good as it has been for a while and the OSU fan base is about as spoiled a fan base that is out there. I am really anxious to see how he and the fan base react when he loses his first game. It is a different conference than when Urban walked into the horseshoe 7 years ago.

Sounds like a guess to me so let’s just wait and see. If one game changes the opinion of a young man then so be it.

12/09/2018 - 6:46pm We will win this game even…

We will win this game even with some backups. It will also be good for the team since we will be playing some impact players for next year.

Go Blue!

12/08/2018 - 11:10am I agree with your thought…

I agree with your thought process but it won’t matter.  If Harrison goes to the Buckeyes, Day will get the credit.

12/08/2018 - 11:07am One of my best friends…

One of my best friends graduated from Army in 2004. Even though he is a Buckeye fan, this game has meant more to me since he started there in 2000.  I also can’t help but get emotional watching both teams after the game. One of the greatest games and tradition of all time.

Go Army Beat Navy!

12/08/2018 - 9:26am I have been eagerly waiting…

I have been eagerly waiting to hear news on Harrison. I think it will be huge news for either school that gets him.  If OSU gets him, it will be the first huge recruit of the Day era. If we get him, it will be one of the highest recruits we have ever received and will be a huge miss for Day in his first recruiting cycle. There is no doubt that Michigan getting the #4 recruit in the nation out of Ohio State’s back yard would be a black eye on whoever is coaching at OSU. It could set the tone early at the beginning of the Day era.

Go Blue!

12/07/2018 - 4:41pm Reading your list reminded…

Reading your list reminded of when multiple players transferred before our season last year.  Several people on this blog adjusted their expectations and had a pretty bleak outlook for 2017-2018.  Boy did that turn out to be wrong.  This Belein guy knows what he is doing and it makes me happy.

Go Blue!

12/07/2018 - 2:22pm Completely disagree with…

Completely disagree with this take.  Yeah, if everything stays the same anybody could coach them to 10+ wins but that is the point.  Things will not stay the same because the Head Coach just retired.  I bet USC and Florida State fans thought 5 years ago that anyone could coach their team and they would win at least lets say 8 or 9 games per year.  How is that working for them?  There is no doubt OSU has a leg up when it comes to in state talent and no other Power 5 school competing against them to get top in state talent, but they aren't invincible.  There may not be any other coach that would have been able to do what Meyer did at OSU (record wise).  I would even go as far to say that Tressel could have had up to 8 more losses than Meyer had.  Think about some of the wins Meyer was able to accomplish.  It is because he is an elite coach that has proven success at every program he has been to.  I am not buying that the position is a plug and play one which is basically what you are suggesting when you make the statement it is a guarantee 10+ wins no matter who the coach is.

12/07/2018 - 2:09pm But if he loses his first…

But if he loses his first game against Michigan, let's see how he handles the pressue and how the fanbase supports him.  It will be interesting.  I can definitely see the fanbase bringing up the positives of Urban Meyer over Day if/when he loses to Michigan.  Couple that with another loss next year, and he will have already matched Urban Meyer most losses total in 1 season.  I very much believe one of the reasons Urban Meyer stepped down is because of the pressure that goes with a job like coaching Ohio State football is.  Let's see how Day handles this pressure when things aren't peachy all the time.

12/06/2018 - 9:44pm It would be for me.  Ohio…

It would be for me.  Ohio State fans wont even mention basketball. If we would win a championship in basketball, it would keep Michigan athletics in a positive light and end a streak that the B1G has of not winning a championship in basketball since 2000.

Are you Brett McMurphy?

Delaney has been seeking counsel because he is not smart enough to come up with this on his own.  I love the idea if this becomes reality.

Coeds, pain meds, and cover-ups take a toll on ones body.

12/05/2018 - 8:57am The thing I love most about…

The thing I love most about Harbaugh is that he is a competitor.  It is hard for me to believe that he will leave without at least winning a B1G Championship.  I am sure he is pissed that he did not get a W against Urban Meyer, but he has to be thinking with Urban leaving, The Game becomes more winnable.  It isn't happening, but if he were to leave now then he isn't the coach I expected him to be.  I am confident though that he is the coach we all expected him to be when he got here, and he will prove it as our coach for many years to come.

Go Blue!

So this is their counter to Urban leaving?  What a bunch of goons.

12/04/2018 - 11:19pm Based of this game, yes Z…

Based of this game, yes Z was off but I disagree with your point of Z being a liability if they lag off. I feel his shot is a bit better this year and his ability to dish the rock is at elite levels at times.  If a team wants to try to make him the liability, they will be the losers more times than not.

Chris Collins loves to slap the floor!

Wow. Closer than I would have liked but the team fought. They will be better because of it.

This was funny!

12/04/2018 - 9:41am Do you think Urban Meyer…

Do you think Urban Meyer really cares about anything or anyone other than himself?  I don't.

12/04/2018 - 9:20am It could very well go fine,…

It could very well go fine, but I think the point is Mayfield was elite and Haskins has proven to be a top tier QB this year.  Martell is not proven at all to be anything in college yet, so it could absolutely be a work in progress.  I just do not believe this will be a seamless transition from Meyer to Day, but time will tell.

12/04/2018 - 9:07am Meyer to Notre Dame in 2-3…

Meyer to Notre Dame in 2-3 years.  Book it!

Its not for medical reasons.  The devil called him and said he wants his soul back.

11/30/2018 - 2:42pm Let me start by saying, I…

Let me start by saying, I absolutely cannot stand Urban Meyer.  Always have, always will.  Before The Game this year I was adamant about a desire to want Urban Meyer to stay as long as it takes for us to beat him.  My mind changed after the game last Saturday.  Urban Meyer is on a list of elite colleges coaches that extends to about 6-8 names.  The odds of Ohio State getting another Urban Meyer is extremely small.  I believe Meyer gets The Game and I am at a point where I believe the longer he stays, the harder that game will continue to be to beat them.  The quicker he goes, the better chance we have to start beating them.  You can bring up the fact that two of his wins came against Brady Hoke, but I will almost put money on no other coach beating Jim Harbaugh (Pro or College) 4 times in a row ever again.  As much as it kills me that Meyer is undefeated against Michigan at OSU, I want him out and it would be pure irony for the selfish spolied fanbase that is the Buckeyes to act like it is no big deal if he is gone.  At least that was the mentality of their fans (I am associated with) before The Game this year.

- Fire Urban Meyer

- put sanctions on MSU that are rightly deserved after the Nassir debacle

- give James Franklin unlimited timeouts because he is an absolute moron

- allow Michigan to choose their refs for every game so we do not end up with a situation like we did in 2016 for the game

Deal with it.  This is what being in Hell is like.  Didn't you read Brian's game summary?

You are so cool and tough.  I bet you call your co-workers bad names once they leave your office too.

11/26/2018 - 3:15pm Thanks Rashan!  You will…

Thanks Rashan!  You will always be a Michigan for not just the accomplishments you have had on the football field, but most importantly for sacrificing your last 3 years in representing this university as a collegiate student athlete.

Go Blue!

It's got to be Harrison and I believe the plan was to win on Saturday and him commit today.

11/26/2018 - 3:06pm I am so sorry for your loss…

I am so sorry for your loss.  What is amazing is how your two comments have provided a dose of reality to me and I am sure many others who have read them after what happened on Saturday.  I know that is probably not what you intended to do, but thank you for your courage in opening up.  Michigan has brighter days ahead and I am positive you and your family do too!

Go Blue!

11/21/2018 - 4:28pm That doesn’t change the fact…

That doesn’t change the fact that he got eaten alive when he didn’t have help. I think the refs did a terrible job at allowing some of the unnecessary actions go on by both Winovich and #72 but there is no doubt #72 was getting eaten alive in this game.

11/21/2018 - 9:28am We need to gash that defense…

We need to gash that defense because it is mediocre at best.

11/20/2018 - 9:58am Moody had an opportunity on…

Moody had an opportunity on Saturday to shine.  He took advantage of that opportunity and made all the kicks he was asked to make.  I know they were short kicks, but I would go with Moody all the way.

It's sounds like you just dropped the turtles off at the pool.  That always makes me feel better too.

You flipped to rooting for the good guys eh.  I don't blame you one bit.  Your team is a tire fire right now.

11/19/2018 - 10:05pm I live in Ohio and all the…

I live in Ohio and all the annoying fans that have acted like everything OSU is gold are the same ones who have completely given up on this team and say we are going to beat them. They are also saying that Urban will probably leave after this year and they are fine with that. What a freaking spoiled fan base. I want to beat them so bad on Saturday by I just can’t shake the BPONE.

11/19/2018 - 12:35pm The other thing I love about…

The other thing I love about this year is many Ohio State fans are talking negative about him again.  I can't tell you how many of their fans told me that he wasn't the right fit for us.  When opposing fans begin to hate your coach, it means he is doing something right.  Will report back to MGoBlog after this weekend to let you know if they are still in that same mind frame.

11/18/2018 - 2:33pm I said this in another…

I said this in another thread but some of the struggles we had yesterday were out of character from our team this year. I think both these polls are taking that into consideration and realize we are still a top 4 team even after the performance yesterday.

11/18/2018 - 2:25pm I wish it wasn’t the case,…

I wish it wasn’t the case, but I just can’t let my mind go to thinking we are going to win. I realize I am not giving our team the credit they deserve and have earned. I am in a see it to believe it mind frame going into this weekend.  By the way, this has nothing to do with how we played yesterday but everything to do with how the last 17 years have gone against OSU.

11/18/2018 - 2:16pm Couldn’t someone also make…

Couldn’t someone also make the argument that Maryland and Purdue gave us the best blueprint to be OSU? I think the difference is last night was not the norm from our team where OSU has been pretty bad all year, similar to yesterday.

11/18/2018 - 2:01pm This just continues the…

This just continues the pattern of terrible in game explanations of calls by refs since Harbaugh has been here. Can the incompetence get any worse from some of these refs?

11/15/2018 - 11:40pm Honestly, I think this is…

Honestly, I think this is just Herbstreit seeing it how it looks with both teams. If we play our best, we will probably win by a large margin considering how OSU has played all season.

11/15/2018 - 11:36pm Could not agree more with…

Could not agree more with this take. It will eventually happen. The question is, will it be this year?

11/15/2018 - 9:10am Interesting info.  Thanks…

Interesting info.  Thanks for sharing! I am probably in the minority on this, but I would still prefer to have an 8-Team playoff and give the first rounds home field advantage to the higher seed.  I don't have an opinion one way or another how they come up with the top 8 teams.  I realize the main argument here is cold weather for northern team, but the NFL does just fine when their are home games in Green Bay and Chicago.  After the first round, the playoff games are played out how the current system does with 4 teams and they play at the bowl sponsored stadiums.

11/14/2018 - 8:50pm Maybe I exaggerated a bit…

Maybe I exaggerated a bit but that victory was not as dominating as this one.
