Ryan Day vs The World
September 24th, 2023 at 12:07 AM ^
Hmm... I wonder what he sees when he closes his eyes at night?
September 23rd, 2023 at 11:27 PM ^
Don't come with that weak sauce WR sweep on 4th and 1 and say you're a group of tough guys. ND needs to slingshot their OC to the sun. A screen on 2nd down? When you've been running the ball at will all half? Just dumb.
On the positive side, consider the B1G put another crappy product on the rest of our channels, the conference needed this win to help its reputation with the voters.
September 23rd, 2023 at 11:29 PM ^
Doesnt he usually take off his shirt before he starts his comedy routine? 10 points until the last drive when ND drops 11 interceptions. Brilliant!
September 24th, 2023 at 1:08 AM ^
Nah, he usually just crosses out the "M"'s.
September 24th, 2023 at 9:15 AM ^
He did kind of remind me of that lunatic who flexed on the golf course after stealing the gals golf ball.
September 23rd, 2023 at 11:29 PM ^
They had 4th and inches and ran a WR sweep, and that was the right call because watch the replay - his tough center and guard got shoved three yards back. They are pass blocking specialists, they can’t drive block to gain a yard. It took ND leaving the LT and LG uncovered on the final play for OSU to win. Strike that, OSU didn’t win the game, Notre Dame lost it, repeatedly.
September 26th, 2023 at 3:39 AM ^
Earlier in the game they had a 4th and goal from the one and ran a play action pass (unsuccesfully). I shit you not, 7 guys dropped into coverage at the snap because everyone and Lou Holtz knew they were never going to run the ball there
September 23rd, 2023 at 11:30 PM ^
No one is allowed to say OSU isn’t physical anymore, Ryan Day just told me that narrative ends tonight, so no one better say they aren’t physical after tonight.
September 23rd, 2023 at 11:31 PM ^
Lou Holtz just fired back ...
September 23rd, 2023 at 11:37 PM ^
thufferin' thuckatash', that ryan day hath got to stop!!
September 24th, 2023 at 12:01 AM ^
Need to dress for the front row of those press conferences like they're Gallagher shows.
September 23rd, 2023 at 11:33 PM ^
Harbaugh has absolutely broken this guy, lol.
Totally unhinged
soft
born on 3rd
September 23rd, 2023 at 11:50 PM ^
Fer fucks sakes that's a given...even Lou Holtz has broke this idiot.
September 23rd, 2023 at 11:34 PM ^
Ryan Day with the Stuart Smalley impression.
”I’m good enough. I’m smart enough. And doggone it, people like me.”
September 23rd, 2023 at 11:36 PM ^
Not as impressive as golf guy.
September 23rd, 2023 at 11:40 PM ^
Such a whiny meatball of a man. And the emotions don’t strengthen the argument against softness. ND was gashing his team on the ground in the 2nd half and his offense struggled badly with 3rd/4th-and-1 conversions (finishing 1-for-5 after the game winner).
September 23rd, 2023 at 11:45 PM ^
The game winner that they bravely converted against 10 guys.
September 24th, 2023 at 3:20 PM ^
I think you mean bravely, barely converted.
September 23rd, 2023 at 11:48 PM ^
So OSU gets stuffed twice on 4th and 1, barely gets the winning yard facing a defense missing a guy, and spends the postgame presser calling out an 86-year-old stroke victim. That’s what I call toughness!
September 23rd, 2023 at 11:49 PM ^
The pressure that man is under must be absolutely immense. I'm at this point almost certain that his job would be in real danger if he lost to Michigan again. It's silly but it's clear that the negativity around it has gotten to him in a real way, and for that to happen a man must feel that he's not fully backed by his superiors.
September 24th, 2023 at 10:54 AM ^
I welcome Ohio State falling on their own sword of stupidity by firing a coach for winning 85% of his games but not beating the one team they hate. We did the same thing and went into the wilderness for 7 years.
Can Ohio State please have their own 7 year wilderness? Please? And then be forced with the reality of rebuilding the program from the ground up? Please?
September 24th, 2023 at 12:03 AM ^
God what a desperate, insecure boob he is. Very on-brand for Ohio.
September 24th, 2023 at 12:16 AM ^
SON ARE YOU CALLING ME INSECURE?! YOUR JUST A JUNIOR BETA WHOSE NOT FIT TO WIPE BEARD DYE OFF MY TOUGH AND MANLY ALPHA ASS THAT IS MARKED "EXIT ONLY". FIGHT ME AFTER SCHOOL, AT THIRD BASE U PUNK
September 24th, 2023 at 9:06 AM ^
That is an insult to boobs. And as a huge fan of boobs, I will not tolerate them being compared in any way to this asshat.
September 24th, 2023 at 3:27 PM ^
Speaking of brand, for the last 5-10 years OSU could sell themselves as the place for receivers and QBs to showcase themselves in a high octane offense. This season they just look boring and non-threatening.
It turns out the only way to stop Harrison is to put the ball in the hands of Kyle McCord.
September 24th, 2023 at 12:15 AM ^
I get that you all hate Ryan Day because he’s OSU’s head coach… But do you think that this is worse than any cooky ass shit that Jim has said in his tenure at UM? They just walked it off against a tough top 10 opponent after getting called out by a big name this week. He’s allowed to be hyped after everyone has questioned OSU’s toughness the past couple of years (especially after the past two UM games.) You don’t have to like what I said, but it’s true. He deserves to enjoy this victory.
September 24th, 2023 at 12:20 AM ^
And how many times was he skewered for it until beating OSU two seasons ago? Every time. Every win until that first against the Buckeyes was discounted.
September 24th, 2023 at 12:27 AM ^
He seems insecure. Go watch Harbaugh's interview after beating OSU in Columbus. You will see the contrast. This is not at the same level as UM beating OSU on the road.
September 24th, 2023 at 12:27 AM ^
Our coach may say some quirky things, but never has he publicly called out an 86 year old man because he said something that hurt his feelings. Day popped off and looked weak, insecure and unstable. Take the ridicule and walk away.
September 24th, 2023 at 12:31 AM ^
Jim would've said, "Here's Blake Corum--talk to him."
September 24th, 2023 at 12:57 AM ^
Actually I think he would have just grabbed the closest Michigan player and said "Talk to this guy."
September 24th, 2023 at 12:36 AM ^
After getting absolutely housed by OSU, a reporter asked him a simple question, and Jim said, “I’ll take your questions not your insults” and we’re all just going to act like Day is an insecure unhinged lunatic and Jim is the lovable quaint Michigan man that does everything right all of the time? Nah. I don’t think so.
September 24th, 2023 at 12:50 AM ^
Sounds like Jim is living in your head rent-free, P-Buck.
Jim said that after a loss. Day is melting down after a win. Against a team that was not Michigan. Yet he's focused on...you guessed it: Michigan.
September 24th, 2023 at 12:58 AM ^
Hey PeacefulBuck, why are you here? Kinda seems like you feel the need to defend your coach on a Michigan board. Newsflash: That post game interview was a national broadcast and Day's words will likely resonate throughout the season. Get your rest. You will likely have to flash that Ohio victim mentality for weeks to come. See ya in November.
September 24th, 2023 at 1:17 AM ^
I’ve been here, Girl and have been a fan for 25+ years. I just try to bring some perspective to this board and some light-hearted banter. So don’t mind me trying to bring some perspective to you guys when you think “Ryan Day is going off the rails!”
September 24th, 2023 at 1:25 AM ^
At the end of the day, P-Buck, it is your kin, the non-peaceful Buck fans, who are doing this to him, not us.
September 24th, 2023 at 1:32 AM ^
You offer nothing of value. We don’t need no stinkin’ perspective. Nobody wants you here and you can just fuck right off.
September 24th, 2023 at 1:40 AM ^
Is this post a joke, or something? One thing Harbaugh has never had to do is resort to some fake tough guy persona to defend his team. Your team was out-rushed 176 - 126 - they're still Charmin Soft up the middle.
Good luck with that...
September 24th, 2023 at 7:30 AM ^
The point that shouts louder than Coach Days rant is getting ran on over and over in a loaded box. Sometimes 8 or 9 defenders and giving up 10 yards at times. I was amazed watching ND owning the bucks Defense. The Defenses made plays on both sides of the ball. But the rant was evidence that there is much frustration boiling over there. Just saying.
September 24th, 2023 at 8:29 AM ^
Ryan Day is going off the rails. Harbaugh does not have to use too many words. He just needs to stare. Kind of like Clint Eastwood. You just know he is a tough guy. Anyway, why does he care so much about toughness. Let him prove it on the field. Nobody will say that. See what Michigan did in 2021. Is there any doubt who was tough? Do that in 2023 and Day doesn't have to say a word. If not, the narrative will continue regardless of how much Day yells after a game.
September 24th, 2023 at 1:04 AM ^
This is not the winning argument you think it is.
September 24th, 2023 at 6:59 AM ^
Ryan Day is fake just like his beard color. His emotions after the game was not real and it looked fake. I am not sure why are defending him on this site.
September 24th, 2023 at 8:36 AM ^
The fact that you feel you had to come to this blog and defend your coach whom also referenced Michigan is his teary eyed lame post game interview pretty much tells me everything I need to know about your coach and your representation of your soft fan base. Go Blue and thanks for visiting!
September 24th, 2023 at 11:56 AM ^
It’s not just UM seeing this interview and reading the obvious tea leaves. This interview was a bad look and you know it. Enjoy your W but also eat this interview L.
it was weird and made him look stupid. If Harbaugh did this, and against 10 defenders… two times in a row…we would all cringe
September 24th, 2023 at 12:37 AM ^
Same old, same old. Mark Dantonio felt slighted by a college football player and behaved like a total bitch. Ryan Day goes and does one better. I don't know if the analogy of the comment was a false equivalency but it was still dumb as shit.
September 24th, 2023 at 2:12 AM ^
Yet Harbaugh is the one self-suspending himself for breaking NCAA rules. Isn't that embarrassing the coach can't follow rules everyone has to follow? A little ironic too since it was during that Covid year that Harbaugh tattled on Day for some alleged minor practice violations that prompted Day to respond (privately to his team, but leaked) that Harbaugh should mind his own team's business and they'd hang 100 on them. Guess it was Harbaugh who in fact was breaking NCAA rules that year.
September 24th, 2023 at 8:25 AM ^
Ha ha ha. $5,000 worth of a comment. Is that given even if a recruit shows up to take a leak in the toilet and leave. See, just because things don't come out doesn't make Day and OSU not breaking the rules. It just never comes out and NCAA is run by lazy, bureaucratic assholes.
