I'm thinking I'm the bad luck reason for our bowl record. (I'm not going to Houston so we should be good.)
I think our gameplan going in is going to be a steady diet of smash mouth power football on the ground. Hope Moore has some good run plays ready and not fall victim to whatever TCU did to gum our run game up last year when they knew that was going to be our bread and butter. Once this is established, set up some easy passing once they start to have to start to commit more resources to the run. Have more McCarthy just take off on scrambles especially if they play more man to man (not sure if this is something Washington does on D). But I think JJ designed runs can really gash them.
Basically have these long grind it out 7-8 minute drives capped off with TDs. Limit Washington's offensive chances dominate time of possession. On their limited chances, confuse and get them out of sync and frustrate them not being able to establish a rhythm. Dare them to run into a lighter box and successfully defend it. Make them one dimensional. Get the ball back and just boa constrictor the life out of the game with another 7-8 minute bruising drive.

I'm probably in the minority here but after all the bullshit that happens with this team seemingly year in year out, I'm in favor of just not playing them anymore. We gain absolutely nothing out of it. And if we do play them, the game should always be played at 9am EST or at least earlier than noon before people wake up and start drinking. The last thing you want to do with that team and fanbase is play a night game.
I watched Marbula 1 on YouTube. It's marble racing. Yes that's right marble racing but with commentary and setup like it's F1. It was pretty fascinating. My wife is like what the hell are you watching?!?
I always thought CJ will be a bust. He has an accurate arm sure in college, but I think this will fall off playing against an NFL defense that will demand everything happen faster. His biggest flaw to me is I don't think he is very tough and will have a hard time when he gets smoked a few times by NFL defensive folk.
For all the talk about future NHL blah blah blah, aside from some moments of brilliant individual effort there was a lot of sloppy play mishandling of pucks passes that had me thinking that this was not very NHL like. In fact the other team looked more like an NHL team to me. I mean there was literally zero defense WTF?!? And our goalie was just not good. He literally looked like he was on skates the way he was moving around out there and getting used and abused. The amount of puck watching on defense was most disappointing to me.

Hope it was just trauma causing arrhythmia like v-tach that they were able to pull him out of and stabilize.

Ran through the law quad right past a bunch of Chi O's I knew because I used to work at their house for meal service was not a bit embarrassed. A naked guy with his trombone, I'm guessing from the band, starts playing the Victors and we all sang it. It was awesome!!
