Your Name and Avatar

The name is a variation of something I came up with while working for EDS.  We had divisions called eSolutions, iSolutions, oSolutions. A buddy and I came up with SometimesYSolutions which evolved over time to Yo_Solutions.  It wasn't a big stretch to change to Yo_Blue when creating an MGoName.  The avatar is actually a revolving GIF, but it doesn't work on the new site.

Carolina Blue: Carolina because im in south Carolina and blue because it’s a fun play on North Carolina (Carolina blue being either Tar Heel blue or Panthers blue) but actually means Michigan Blue. 

Do I even still have an avatar? It was the graphic makeup of the Predator wolverine. I don’t really care about avatars and I’m not very tech savvy.

Name: I went to Grand Valley State University where blue is also one of our colors. 86 is the year I was born. Starting to feel like a long time ago now. 

**Used to be GVBlue_Is_Still_Blue to signify that while I didn't attend UofM, my alma mater is also blue and that common bond still allows me to be a die hard Michigan sports fan. I changed it to have a more simple name.

1- Schmo is a nickname my wifes brother and I call each other. I then started calling him schmozer, and then Schmozette (female version of Schmo). I then kept the nickname but added ...erine at the end since I’m a Michigan wolverine nut.  

2- For obvious reasons. One of the greatest pics ever. Lol. 

Litt1e Rhino has been my gamer tag since my late teens. The picture is the best little rhino pic I could find. 

1.  It's the start of the email address that I had in grad school at U of Chicago which was the personal email address I used when I started reading MGo.

* I considered Blue Vet but didn't want to sound like a car or a sad former MP. Or a sad car.

The name is a random song a friend and I came up with in high school after eating at a seafood joint on vacation. We were lame. Still am.

My avatar is a screenshot from a Tigers broadcast where the cameras trained on a squirrel who had run onto the field stopping play for a short time and was later seen relaxing on the top of the outfield fence. 

Been a fan of Michigan and Nine Inch Nails for as long as I can remember so, I chose a name to represent both and I’ve always liked the NIN Fixed album cover so I chose that as an avatar!

My username and avatar are in honor of Justice Frank Murphy (LLB '14), one of two Michigan Law alums to serve on the US Supreme Court. He also served as governor of Michigan and mayor of Detroit. He is best known for his dissenting opinion in Korematsu v. United States, which upheld the constitutionality of the US Army's Japanese internment program and is now regarded as one of the darkest moments in the court's history. His dissent, which was later vindicated when Korematsu's conviction was finally overturned in 1983, sharply criticized the majority opinion as "legalization of racism." Murphy wrote, "Racial discrimination in any form and in any degree has no justifiable part whatever in our democratic way of life."

Brown Juggernaut is an infusion of Brown Jug and Juggernaut. I'm of Indian descent. Pretty self explanatory. The avatar is from some comment I made where I was very pleased with the offense or something that I would clap and speak like a seal when we'd be doing good things. Something along those lines. I had a link in my old signature, but now, it is lost forever.

My name: my name (stupid I know but I didn't think when I signed up for mgoblog, around 10 years ago, that I was making a username I'd use for life. Oops.)

My avatar: Well, when enough people reply "Steve Holt!" anyway...

Ibow as in “eye bow”. No reason in particular that I use it other than years and years ago I used it on a bowhunting forum as a screen name and ever since then, just used the same screen name for any forum or blog.

My avatar is my wife and I prior to the Nebraska game this past fall.

So many cool stories about user names. Unfortunately mine is pretty lame. I live in Northfield, MN. Famous for kicking some James Gang ass back in 1876. The town still celebrates that raid every year. Don't mess with a bunch of Swede's cash, it won't end well.

Avatar is a pic of my 1966 Chevy Chevelle convertible. 104,000 original miles. Stock and drives like a barge. I'm way past my street rod days.

US Navy, avatar is while aboard of my favorite assigned duty station, an aircraft carrier, USS Midway (CV-41), now a museum in San Diego harbor where I am a docent.

Chunkums was a dumb username I thought of when playing Perfect Dark with my friends in middle school. The avatar represents the fact that at least in one way, I'm a traitor. I attend Ohio State for grad school (though I maintain my UM fandom as an undergraduate alum).
