|06/20/2018 - 9:18pm||With the big ten…||
With the big ten championship a week later, it sure wouldn’t hurt to have a bye week before then. It used to be a problem because we were all off while everyone else was playing. I can see it both ways, but I lean toward keeping it where it is. It’s rivalry weekend.
|06/19/2018 - 7:36am||I was talking with a Sparty…||
I was talking with a Sparty friend last week, and he’s a pretty levelheaded guy, And he is not very optimistic about this season. With their schedule, he expects to be around 9-3 or 8-4, with the possibility of being as poor as 6-6. It was interesting to get his take on the last few years. The conversation evolved into how their football team is over performing, and their basketball team is under performing at important moments. We exchanged our feeling that our programs are the opposite of what we are used to because we have the same problem but with basketball and football flipped. He hates Harbaugh because he’s a diva that doesn’t actually have a track record of any success but oh well, and is jealous of Beilein, said he was REALLY hoping he would take the pistons Job.
Anyway, all that is to say that portion the Sparty fan base that understands anything about anything is not expecting much this season. (Also, he wants to see the university senior staff die in a fire for how they’re handling the fallout from the Nassar awful thing and the subsequent accusations. So, I give him a bit of credit for that.)
|06/15/2018 - 12:47pm||That is one scorching hot…||
That is one scorching hot take. Two weeks ago he was #1 or #2 in every statistical category but putting. Yes, his putter has sucked the last few weeks, but He is not done. Just because he hasn’t finished top 5 or whatever doesn’t mean he hasn’t played well.
I’m sure you thought Jack Nicklaus wasnt notable when he was playing in the open those multiple times he retired. It was just the media hyping him up. No one really wanted to watch the greatest to ever play. And no one really wants to watch Tiger, by far the greatest player of the last 20-25 years and easily the second best player ever in addition to having an inarguable massive effect on the game itself.

Typo autocorrect. If he gets his “putter” in gear.
|06/15/2018 - 11:51am||That’s just crazy. He is…||
That’s just crazy. He is obviously notable, and if you just happen to not have watched a single damn round yet this year, Tiger has been playing very well. If he gets his partner in gear, he will win.
|06/15/2018 - 11:12am||He actually started with a…||
He actually started with a birdie. He started on 10, but he did double #1, so that is probably what you’re seeing.
Also, he is now +10, so he’s not making the cut. Oh well, neither will Phil most likely, but it will be fun watching DJ. Unless he screws up, it’s his to lose.
|06/15/2018 - 10:07am||I love the sport and the…||
I love the sport and the World Cup in general, but I have found it hard to be as excited as before without the USA in it. How disappointing.
That said, I think once the knockout rounds come I’ll be able to watch a little more intently.

Love my psvue service. I use an Apple TV, I know Roku and amazon fire (not the stick, though) work.
|06/13/2018 - 2:18pm||The mobile version of the…||
The mobile version of the site is terrible compared to 2.0. You shouldn’t have to scroll all the way to the bottom to get to the diary/board posts. Also, the site header takes up 80% of the screen, so I have to scroll down just to see the headline of the too front page post. Like many, I find there is waaaaaayyyyyyyyy too much white space.
Ill wait for bugs to be worked out before I render final judgement, but so far not so good.

The solution to pollution is dilution.
|06/12/2018 - 7:27am||Spoiler alert, they will all…||
Spoiler alert, they will all leave. This defense will be as good as 2016 and will have draft attrition to match. Take everyone that could go pro and assume they will, then be pleasantly surprised if they don’t.
|06/10/2018 - 6:17pm||It’s pretty clear...Federer…||
It’s pretty clear...Federer is the best, Rafa is the most dominant on a single surface. I’m a fed fan myself. That stupid curled lip that Rafa wears all the time is off putting. Federer just oozes class and I love him for that, plus his longevity is incredible.
|06/09/2018 - 12:02pm||I guess everyone is…||
I guess everyone is different, but as a right handler I have always found is easier to throw who’ll moving left than right. Moving right I have a tendency to throw high. It’s always just felt more natural to square my shoulders while moving left and throw. I guess I’m just weird or something, which is fine. It’s just hard for me to fullly grasp the majority.
|06/08/2018 - 8:20pm||So is there anyway that…||
So is there anyway that Nebraska doesn’t win? We seem to have a good strategy to ultimately win the game should have been untimed, but now that there is one in the not too distant future, I question whether we can win. Obviously we will have to turn on our allies to win, but still seems like an uphill battle.

Choosing to re-order to Newest First doesn’t work.
|06/06/2018 - 4:31pm||Would somebody please…||
Would somebody please explain what the hell the obsession is with comic sans? I don’t understand why people deride it so much. I see people all the time say “comic sans sighting”. Who gives a fuck about the font I use? What am I missing?
|06/06/2018 - 6:41am||So this is my first attempt…||
So this is my first attempt at a comment. I’m sure it’ll work, but I had to clear my internet cache to even get the main page to show up.
Glad to see we’re on the other side.
|05/30/2018 - 11:42am||Off top of my head||
|05/30/2018 - 6:40am||Brian, this is one||
Very elaborate ruse. Tugging on people’s memory of past blogs, implying yours will be updated, is smart, but I see through it. Nice try.
|05/27/2018 - 10:06pm||Loved||
Snake. What a great game that was.
|05/25/2018 - 8:29am||Lemme get some||
Of the Rebecca Black experience! Woooooo FRIDAY FRIDAY!! FUN FUN FUN!!
|05/25/2018 - 6:38am||I actually think||
You’re correct. That will happen. Brian is Lucy, we are Charlie Brown.
|05/24/2018 - 12:41pm||This is an excellent point.||
Clemson could crush us and make us really have to spread our resources. We are certainly putting A LOT of trust in them.
|05/23/2018 - 6:01pm||I don’t not care what anyone says,||
I liked the Budweiser frogs.
Also liked the Geico cavemen early on before they ran them into the ground.
Also the old trident gum commercials “who wants Trident? I do I do. Cinnamon flavor. I do I do”
|05/21/2018 - 7:42pm||Speaking of meta||
What is the deal with the new website? Didn’t the proprietor post on here saying “very soon” a few weeks ago? Curious to understand the hold up.
|05/21/2018 - 12:20pm||Interesting||
Shawshank redemption has to be up there. After that his godfather one. Then, I actually like to include the Wizard of Oz. Obviously, it’s not one of those entertainment type movies. You just have to appreciate what it was for the time, and it is just extremely well-made and virtually flawless.
|05/16/2018 - 11:52am||So they will declare||
It’s over now. Stop asking questions. This will now all go away. Just watch.
|05/15/2018 - 12:36pm||You don’t understand||
That’s a simple physics exercise. The force is dispersed over a greater area and a longer distance. It’s why NASCAR stock cars are designed to fly apart: disperse the force. It saves your life.
|05/10/2018 - 11:42am||I am on the fence, but...||
This is a lazy argument. By that definition, bill Russell is the goat. There is more to it than rings.
For example, I would say Dan Marino is greater than Joe Flacco...but nope, because ringzzzz.
You can use it as ONE OF the criteria, but not the sole criterion.
|05/03/2018 - 9:04pm||There is no way there||
Are any sanctions coming for either of those programs. I just don’t see any NCAA violations that they would charge them with. They should rot in hell for it all but, let’s face it, unless you’ve done some so egregious as to perform a little stretching, smoke a joint, or some piddling crime like that, it will simply go unpunished. Accept it like the rest of us have. Acceptance is the first step.
|05/02/2018 - 12:36pm||For all of you worries that there will be boys and girls togethe||
That won’t be the case. There are not going to be boys and girls in the same den or troop. They will still be mostly separated except for pack meetings (cub scouts) or inter-troop activities. The gender exclusivity will still mostly exist but they will be part of one organization.
|05/02/2018 - 10:36am||Maybe I can help here.||
It really shouldn’t be as polarizing as it has become. My dad works high up in the scouting ranks and was a part of the National discussion. It has been in discussions since the 90s and began as a tool to be an organization the whole family can participate in. Interestingly, a lot of push apparently came from the Hispanic population which wanted to put their boys in the scouts but also wanted to put their girls in a similar program but have it be a “one-stop-shop” type deal for the whole family. The goal of scouting is, amongst many other things of course, is to make well-rounded young adults out of them. When you consider that, this is actually a great move and can make Scouts a great program for kids. I know my wife growing up wanted to be a boy acout. She found what they were doing far more interesting than the activities in Girl Scouts. Now maybe that’s a possibility for this generation.
|05/01/2018 - 11:47am||Why don’t they||
Make the whole plane out of the black box?
|04/30/2018 - 11:48am||Assuming each seat||
Is 18” (i don’t know if that’s correct but it at least gives a starting point idea) then for every inch in width increase we would lose 5500-6000 seats.
|04/30/2018 - 11:43am||Good luck to him.||
I’d be surprised if he makes it, but I guess ya never know!
|04/29/2018 - 10:11pm||That wouldn’t be nearly||
Enough. In the existing space, chairbacks would reduce capacity down around 80,000. You’re not fitting 20,000-30,000 chairs in end zone extensions.
|04/29/2018 - 10:07pm||Obligatory||
|04/29/2018 - 10:03pm||So you want||
1) shitty football due to poor footing (see all 90s games...it was a disaster)
|04/29/2018 - 9:21pm||Psvue is close.||
It doesn’t have many locals, as right now it’s only CBS. That said, you can get a good antenna for $30 one time cost and all you have to do is switch inputs, which is really no different than switching channels. Also, psvue has DVR.
|04/29/2018 - 9:18pm||I second this||
I got it last fall and haven’t looked back. It’s excellent.
|04/29/2018 - 11:41am||There are already||
Something like four #3s on the team because there are more players than numbers. This alone is enough reason to never do it.
|04/27/2018 - 9:00pm||Since you asked:||
Affect = verb
My job affects my life.
|04/27/2018 - 9:31am||The only question||
Now is whether or not The offensivw line will be good enough to help him be as great as we know he could be.
|04/26/2018 - 7:05pm||I’d guesstimate||
Shy of SMU but greater than PSU with the possibility of OSU.
|04/23/2018 - 11:48am||No it wouldn’t||
It’d be a shtick that has to go if he sucked. These things are entertaining because his unit is good. If they sucked we would see his antics as the musings of an incompetent lunatic.
|04/17/2018 - 1:28pm||I disagree||
It may not end a game all that often, but it will almost certainly affect the clock in the last couple minutes of close games and potentially multiple times in one game. Think about a team doing their 2 minute drill how often they rep coming to the line for a spike. If they know they need it, they can spike it VERY quickly. It could cost a team 4,5,6 seconds easily if there are multiple overrules. 10 seconds is arbitrary and not supported by any data. If there were a study that said “the fastest 1000 spike plays last year averaged 8.1 seconds” and based off that they said it’d be an 8 second runoff then maybe I’d be ok with it. Absent of that I hate it.
|04/17/2018 - 12:17pm||I don’t care too much about||
The kicking rule, though I dislike it. I just can’t believe they actually adopted the 10-sec runoff rule for video reviews that show the clock should have kept running. This is going to cost someone a game when they run a quick out to get 5 or so yds closer for a field goal, initially ruled OOB with 9 sec to go but is overturned to be in bounds and game over. In that situation, only 5 yds down field, I promise you that teams can set up a spike in that time. Hell, Michigan completely swapped out for the FG team in 12 seconds against NW in 2013. I’m pretty sure it can be done in 8 secs or maybe even as little as 6. This is a TERRIBLE rule and will absolutely cost someone a game.
Edit: what it will probably do is force teams to be MUCH more careful with timeouts. I have to imagine if an overturn like this happens you can use a TO instead of the time running out and game ending. Right?
|04/17/2018 - 8:07am||Yeah this is beyond||
Being upset. The police need to pay him a visit and flush it out. You can’t mess around talking like that. This could absolutely be interpreted as a threat and should be. I’m not saying he needs to be arrested or anything like that, but police definitely need to be involved. God forbid if he decides to actually do something, we would all ask why he wasn’t at least paid a visit. You just can’t say stuff like that, even if you don’t mean it.
|04/16/2018 - 11:37am||It’s not. This last two||
Seasons have taken place over the course of just a couple months. She is still in the first trimester.
