07/09/2018 - 3:24pm I want Belgium and Croatia…

I want Belgium and Croatia to make it. I think that France and England will make it. This might just be self-preservation or preparation for the worst, but France has been playing pretty well, but they have a guy in Antoine Griezmann who has not stopped scoring big goals for the last few months. I saw that in person at the Europa League final. Mbappe has been stellar, Pogba is playing his best football since he went to Manchester United. Kante has been the most unheralded player of the tournament and I think the real reason I am picking France. England, I just hate the colonizers, but they've defended really well. Croatia have been lackluster their last two run outs. I am hoping we see Croatia's best in these last two games as I had them as my dark horse going into the tournament and would like to see them win.

I enjoyed listening to El-Sayed. You guys did a good job of interviewing him. I hope that other candidates that ask are also interviewed in this format. It was a good podcast and gave insight into some of the key issues in Michigan right now.

I don't think you're going to catch Arike. Her shot was dope. She deserves it too. She was clutch AF down the stretch for Notre Dame as much as I don't like to give any credit to the Domers.

I was joking about this happening with a friend after Murray got drafted. Joke is on us, I guess.

I think at the time we visited Suarez, the only Sloop I had had was like a peach sour that I didn't really take to. I have since had Juice Bomb, which I thought was very good. Would definitely stop in if I went to Suarez again.

02/04/2018 - 10:32am Ty Law not being in the HoF

Ty Law not being in the HoF legitimately makes me angry. I saw him terrorize Peyton Manning for years and they literally had to change the rules for Peyton. Ty was so dominant.

01/26/2018 - 1:38pm I did not know Jarrett Jack

I did not know Jarrett Jack was still in the league until this season when the Celtics played the Knicks earlier this year. I wouldn't be surprised if Trey took his job if he continues to play well. However, I do think that team overall needs to play more defense. They (Trey included) were torn apart by the Nuggets and a million back door cuts.

01/14/2018 - 11:39am Patriots fan here. I honestly

Patriots fan here. I honestly can't say whether this is a good hire because I don't know where Belichick's influence ends and Patricia's begins. There's no doubt that Patricia has been a part of the formula in making lemonade out of rotten lemons. The talent level of that defense hasn't been great and every year, it seems like Patricia and Belichick get more out of them as the season goes on.

I'm very happy to see Patricia get a chance. He's a smart dude. Went to RPI and has an aeronautical engineering degree.

I agree that it's ultimately on Harbaugh and it's on Harbaugh to recognize this, put aside friendships and long working relationships for the good of the team and program. I think you'll see more discord if changes aren't made.

To be clear, I'm not giving Harbaugh a pass. I'm saying that the formula for game planning is not right and Harbaugh needs to get the guys around him to make it better. The status quo isn't working.

Having a Post Shift Pilsner. MGoBBQ has influenced me into cooking my first brisket. Should be interesting. It's also cold outside here on the East Coast so it should be fun.

Definitely want to do a Michigan beer trip at some point.

12/27/2017 - 9:30pm Was able to try Psuedo Sue in

Was able to try Psuedo Sue in DC. I know it's probably produced at the Florida facility, but it was good.

My main objection with the proliferation of NEIPA is that I don't want the style to be sullied by misrepresentations. I haven't had BT or M-43 (soon hopefully), but I wonder how much locals are hyping their local NEIPA because they think they have to. There's a promiscuity with craft beer that everyone wants to try everything. There's trading. There's hype. I don't take NEIPAs at face value. I take it with a "oh yeah, what do you got?" I've been disappointed plenty of times by NEIPAs both here and outside the region. There are certainly breweries outside the region producing some good ones.

12/27/2017 - 9:22pm That's my main problem with

That's my main problem with what's going on. Breweries are jumping "in" but they're not doing it right. It's become a marketing term and all breweries think they need to do is add some oats or wheat and make it hazy/unfiltered. If you know anything about the background of the style, these beers were demonized when they came out because of how they looked. It's an unintended byproduct. The feel, the aroma, the flavor are everything. It stinks to see poor representations around the country.

I've heard Monkish is good. My first impression of them was their awful collaboration with Trillium that is easily the worst beer Trillium has ever released.

12/27/2017 - 1:58pm Thoughts

I don't live in Michigan. I live in Massachusetts. Most of the stuff I'm exposed to is the  distributed stuff (Founders, Dark Horse, Shorts, New Holland). I get to have Bell's when I visit DC which is about once every 2 months. While it's not "special" or "rare," Two Hearted is still my favorite.

Seeing as I can have some of the best NEIPAs pretty much whenever I want, I'm curious to see how other regions are doing "NEIPAs." They're popping up everywhere, but I can't say they're great everywhere. Like I've visited Aslin in Virginia a few times and their non-lactose/non-fruited IPAs are very in line with New England breweries. The Veil's IPAs also hold up. Then I have some Bearded Iris out of Nashville that I had was mediocre. Side Project's Shared Proof of Concept was not good. Anyway, this is a round about way of saying I'm interested in seeing how these Michigan NEIPAs stand up. Supposed to get a package soon. We'll see.

12/27/2017 - 11:43am This is how I feel about Sam

This is how I feel about Sam Summer. In the past, it's been a symbol of Summer, which from my time at Michigan, I understand is what Oberon is. I'd get excited about Sam Summer the same time everyone else was getting hyped about Oberon. Honestly, held the Oberon love against Bell's and feel bad for it because I missed out on some of their awesome other beers.

Sam Summer similarly has experienced heavy decline and inconsistency.
