US Navy, avatar is while aboard of my favorite assigned duty station, an aircraft carrier, USS Midway (CV-41), now a museum in San Diego harbor where I am a docent.

Thought we were going after Parker McQuarrie after Bailey committed to TN?

 What happened?

11/22/2018 - 3:14pm  Actually, I think Dantonio…

Actually, I think Dantonio would jump at the OSU job if offered. Not sure if he could move within conference, but he loves him some buckeyes.

Wouldn't that be a kick in the groin for sparty.

11/21/2018 - 1:12am For Sure! I couldn't watch…

For Sure! I couldn't watch in either situation.

However, with our offense right now, I'd rather switch roles so that WE had the ball down 5 on the two yard line!!

(Actually, so I can really enjoy the game, I'd need to be up 2+ scores by the 4th) I think I'd sell my kidney to duplicate the Penn State game (Fuck Penn State!)

11/13/2018 - 12:04pm  Better yet just Fuck Penn…

Better yet just Fuck Penn State!

They (and JoePa) lost any semblance to football 'tradition and honor' when they covered up a pedophile. IMO they should've been kicked out anyway so whether we play them or not matters not to me.

Yea, home field advantage at HomeSure Lending Stadium. Wonder if Matt got any free tickets to go along with naming rights.  LOL

 Totally agree!!

Yes, I want to win the CFP, but if I have to chose, I want to decimate OSU most!! I have years of angst build up and I have friends that need a good heart-felt.. "In Your Face!!"

Something comparable to Penn State (Fuck Penn State!!) would suffice but would prefer the big "goose-egg" and Buckeyes littered across the field like so many leaves scattered about in the wind!!

(A prolonged scene with Urban crouched down on the sidelines with a UofM sustained headache is also included in my scenario. I know a bit mean, but damn he deserves it!)

11/09/2018 - 8:58am  True, he went over the top…

Ok, that's sick. Besides, I'd still like to take out Paul Finebaum more.

11/09/2018 - 8:51am  IMO, I think they should…

IMO, I think they should drop right out. Their strongest non-conf opponent was Marshall which is fighting right now to become bowl eligible and rounded out by FCS James Madison and Ga State.

I believe they'd probably lose to Northwestern, Wisc, Purdue, Utah, Oregon, Buffalo and any of the Mountain West top 4 and their ranking should be below them.

11/09/2018 - 7:12am  24/7 has a position review…

24/7 has a position review of players for the game this week. The Conclusion and Prediction giving reasons to watch cracked me up:

"Given the two teams' records, it's not surprising that Michigan and Rutgers appear to be heading in opposite directions at every position heading into this matchup. It also isn't a stretch to suggest that the Scarlet Knights are the worst team Michigan has faced all season. While there are some encouraging signs for Rutgers' future, and the secondary could be intriguing to watch against Michigan's backup quarterbacks, this game isn't expected to be close thanks to so many mismatches.

Prediction: Michigan 45, Rutgers 3"

11/08/2018 - 6:50pm  Hail Yes! I'd rather play…

Hail Yes! I'd rather play in the CFP and lose to Bama.

That would mean that we won out, beat OSU, won the B1G East, and won the B1G Championship game. Including B1G Champs

I am tired of all the crap from OSU that we haven't won in over 6 years, Urban is some sort of unbeatable god or Harbaugh hasn't won anything.

So YES! I'd rather get there even if it means I lose to Bama.

However, if we're there, ...there's always the chance that we win!!

Or else incorporate the red turban design into their helmet.

But I suppose it would just end up looking like a red, steamy pile on their heads. (Hmm,... that could work too!)

If you did, I did also!  Lol

I am as perplexed as you are why 'two elder "cannoneers" ' are involved.

He said previously he wanted to get back into coaching. Now whether you wish to debate Kansas is truly a "coaching" job, rather than just baby-sit a couple years until they tire and want someone else, I can go either way

I feel a bit sorry for Sitkowski. As I remember he was recruited heavily by several top programs (including us). I thought he had better programs to choose from. Why do you think he chose Rutger? Just because he was from NJ? He'll either be a good 4 year starter by the end or continually on the injured list from a sieve-like OL.

Yep, 'member when all those bowl games actually meant something. A bit of a shame.

Agree, I think our D would hang with them and if we can mix in a few more slants and slot-ninja plays, I think we'd be competitive. Personally, I want a shot at Alabama for all the marbles, but I'll take them in first round also, and then maybe a "revenge tour" shot at ND!!

If it happens and the line is anywhere north of 10, think we'd be a good bet.

This may sound like an attempt at humor, but I had really been hoping for a glimpse at Kurt Taylor in a Tru Wilson-like role.

Sorry, apologize for my fellow Californian but see, we've had marijuana legal here for a while now and have some pretty potent bud.  /s

11/05/2018 - 2:27pm Personally, I believe Peters…

Personally, I believe Peters or whoever the back-up(s) will get in significant work over the next two weeks.

I expect as soon as we get 2-3 scores ahead, Harbaugh will replace Shea. Less time in = Less chance to get injured.

I expect mass replacements or at least very deep rotations at the earliest opportunity for all the starters. I wouldn't be surprised by 2nd quarter if we are 3 tds up.

11/05/2018 - 12:47pm  No, I am Adam Biggers.

 No, I am Adam Biggers.

11/05/2018 - 12:40pm Frankly though, I don't see…

Frankly though, I don't see how your position IS defensible as there isn't many listed in his or earlier classes for his (NT) position. (I guess Mazi Smith would be closest.) He is rather highly rated and thus desired. I can't help to think there has to be something more going on here.

11/05/2018 - 12:26pm  Not sure how Harrison and…

Not sure how Harrison and/or Karlaftis come into play here as they are 2019 in class ahead. Unless it will just we amount of total DL around his recruiting year.

Frankly @ 6'1" and 318lbs he seemed to fit that NT niche better than most of our other DL recruits that were 6'4"-6'7" so I'd assume it was something else other than class numbers.

Yes, he's from another reality where time has different meaning.

 What kind of vision does…

What kind of vision does a gaurd have?

10/31/2018 - 2:05pm  Agree with you about…

Agree with you about Oklahoma, with one loss they could slip past if they dominate WVU or in the BIG12 championship. Any 1 loss SEC is a worry also. (Face it, until the final comes out, I guess I'm just a big 'fraidy cat!!)
WSU isn't a worry, their non-conf was crap, and the way the PAC12 traded losses this year, they won't have wins anywhere near comparable to an OSU, or PSU alone, let alone what we get from ND loss, MSU, Wisc and B1G championship.

10/31/2018 - 10:00am  The one thing that you have…

The one thing that you have to consider with ND and not anyone else,... We lost to them.
Say what you will; first game, controlled most of the game, came back towards the end, game win steak, early loss vs late, ... One of the higher decision points the CFP has (just like the B1G) is "Head to Head" and no rose colored glasses or logic argument is going to change that. It is above ”Comparables v.s. the same team ".
IMO we need ND to either be a lock in the CFP with 0 losses, or out with 2 losses. I am fearful that if it comes down to us or a 1 loss ND for the last spot, it'll be ND chosen no matter how many wins or conference championships we have.
Only other team I believe we have to hope wins out is Bama for all the reason mentioned in above posts.
As much as I dislike it, I am going to root for both ND and Bama win out. (As much as I'd like to see NW win this week.) Another loss by Clemson, Oklahoma, Georgia, and LSU are all good things.

Interestingly, I think  Herbstreit brought up that it may be a smart tactic for Saban to have them lose close to LSU this week. As they'll get in anyway and it would allow them to sit out the SEC Championship game to rest up, and shut out Michigan and Oklahoma, which he felt were more dangerous to Alabama than SEC championship winner.

10/30/2018 - 9:10pm  Actually, not sure if we…

Actually, not sure if we really benefit with a one loss ND either.
In the breakdown by committee chairman head/head match-ups were a significant factor deciding between teams. Just prior to common opponents.
I fear we may be on the outside if they have to decide between us and a one loss ND.
