Correct, they are trying to increase viewership and increasing offense in the game.

As seen by recent serious re-discussion of implementing the DH in the NL this year. I bet it's on the table during the winter meetings this year.

Touché

Maybe also realized right now is not the best time to be associated with MSU athletics regardless the sport. Like first couple Nittany Lion classes.

02/02/2018 - 10:59pm Pliny the Elder

Just moved back to the Midwest from the Bay Area and made sure I loaded up with Pliny the Elder.

Love the stuff and havent seen it in MI (outside my basement. :)

01/19/2018 - 6:20pm
 Unfortunately, I'm sure

Unfortunately, I'm sure they are going to "white-wash" it. Casting him in the light of having to make some sort of moral choice between the kids and reputation of the university or some horse hockey like that. So everyone feels sympathetic towards Paterno, when they should be vilifying him.

I could've sworn we were strongly in on Greg Little?

11/27/2017 - 3:02pm Richard Gouraige

I'm hoping for Richard Gouraige and maybe Dunlap to flip from the Gators also!!

11/25/2017 - 7:58am Bumper Pool

More importantly the main take-home from this is:

Who do they have that we want? ;) You think there is still interest in Bumper Pool?

09/23/2017 - 8:15am Sveiks!

So am I.  Sveiks!

09/19/2017 - 12:21pm Yes he did.

Yes he did, actually. But then on the ensuing kick-off he totally missed the ball so they removed the 3 points from the score.  It's in the box-score, you can look it up.   /s

09/15/2017 - 12:30pm Delfiniphobia

Actually, the job that I fear most is Miami. I think Stephen Ross may be the one owner that could get Jim away from UM and set up a front office geared to work with him.

However, my security blanket on that is I feel UM's own appeal for Ross would induce him to wait until the program is back on more secure footing in a few years. (Or I hope that is true.)

09/06/2017 - 12:09pm minor leagues developing and feeding major leagues?

Following this logic, you could get where the smaller programs would be nothing more than "feeder" schools or "community colleges" if you will. Forming a "minor leagues", developing and then being siphoned off of all good athletes as needed by the elite "major leagues" composed mostly of developed upperclassmen players.

09/05/2017 - 8:52pm  I saw that also.
 Speaking

 I saw that also.

Speaking of which, I was surprised to see Harbaugh didn't have a ballot.

09/05/2017 - 12:48am  He is usually pretty fair

He is usually pretty fair given that he's a buckeye backer, and almost always hysterical. Personally, I look forward to it. I am glad that he has expanded it to throughout the year rather than just football mondays.

Just miss Stephen R Kass doing it because his lead in was always good too.

09/05/2017 - 12:10am No, you misquoted...

No, man you misquoted and a bit out of context. He actually had a awesome line, with great setup. I spit my drink out with laughter.

 He made a statement that based on our defense saturday;

"more teams should replace 10 starters on defense",

"«It’s like shaving certain parts of your body — the new defense will appear to come in thicker and fuller.

For instance, shaving Ben Gedeon at middle linebacker back in January has now given the Wolverines a full Bush in the middle.«"

08/31/2017 - 5:48pm  I want ND, but still can't

I want ND, but still can't believe we agreed to put them on the schedule as away games the same years as Sparty and Ohio State.

More like Gator Tail to me. ;)

08/30/2017 - 8:37pm 49-6 may not be enough

That score may not be enough. If last year is any indication. We routed PSU 49-10 and by the end of the year had numerous people discrediting it because they were missing some of their stronger players on defense.

08/22/2017 - 3:59pm PS who?

I have no idea who any of these ppl are or what a PSG even is/are?

 Now PSU or PG&E I know. :p

08/11/2017 - 9:52am After Isaiah Wilson last

After Isaiah Wilson last year, I never assume anything until they actually commit,... and actually until signing day. :P I believe "his ballz have been 100% blue since forever"... until they weren't.

08/04/2017 - 5:26pm Russian River instead

There are better places than Napa in the Bay Area. Gotten over-rated and touristy. Wineries and wine areas are everywhere.

Personally, I recommend stay on 101N along the Russian River there's some great vineyards and while there hit the Russian River Brewing Company, in Santa Rosa for some fresh Pliny the Elder.

08/04/2017 - 5:07pm Henry Cowell

LOL, Have a place just across the road from Henry Cowell and agree with it as a destination if you have some active sons. Good nature walks/hikes/tours also and lots of excellent trail biking there and some interesting rope swing/rock/swimming holes on the river at The Junction and Garden of Eden. Also some interesting restaurants just up the road in Ben Lomond called Ristorante Casa Nostra, Good upscale Italian you eat under the stars in a lighted redwood grove, and Tyrolean Inn, cute cross between German Beer hall and alpine chalet with German food/local brews.

Agree with the surfing in Santa Cruz, though there are tons of surfing there, especially The Point, better to go to Mavericks as a visitor.

His kids sound a bit old for Roaring Camp Railroad and it's rather pricey.

08/02/2017 - 12:32pm USAA 100% agree!!

100% agree!!  Have never had a experience with USAA that they didn't go above and beyond in the both cost and service department.

Switched from Allstate then Citizens to their home policy also and it is has even better rates to go with the service.

03/23/2017 - 5:25pm Washington gave everyone their release

Also, UofWashington got rid of their HC and gave all of their players their LOI release. Any of them looking at us or a good fit?   Michael Porter?

02/09/2017 - 10:45am your local comcast provider must carry btn

Also it depends on your location, Comcast is geographically setup, so if your "home" area doesn't carry BTN (or another station), you can't use comcast sign-in to watch. I can't as I am on west coast, and my local area doesn't carry BTN.

01/11/2017 - 3:40pm That is not necessarily true.

That is not necessarily true. Just because someone has large contract, qualifying for pension benefits which includes medical and other insurance is still a big deal and motivation to stay. Personally, know for a fact it had implications in Johnson and other PSU coaches staying until after certain other items were earned.
With high cost and unsure health care costs in future and some pré-existing conditions it can eat away wealth and can be very significant to maintain certain lifestyles.

12/16/2016 - 2:34pm You want a six-pack? I'll show you how.

You want a six-pack? It just takes some work but once you get a routine down it gets easy.

Get up early each morning, get some good workout gear on, (personally I like the new ones with wicking ability when you get the sweat really going).

Then go (I like to jog when possible as it increases the cardio quicker), and head to your local package store and get a six-pack. They should have several varieties to chose from, just try some and find your favorite. That's all there is to it and you're very welcome. It can also work with kegs and cases too if you pick the right package store.
