I already took a monster one but I feel another coming on. Thanks for asking and I'll update with any future news.

It's mostly the home cooking at the Barn that I'm most worried about. Michigan is vastly superior to Minnesota in both talent and coaching.

02/16/2019 - 9:41pm Minnesota kind of scares me…

Minnesota kind of scares me. Their offense is basically wildly throwing themselves at the hoop and committing loads of offensive fouls that don't get called. There's also the home cooking issue, and Minnesota as gotten it against us real bad before.

Michigan did, however, just soundly beat a team that is far superior to the Gophers. I think we survive this one and go 4-1/3-2 over this stretch. Hopefully the offense starts coming along. We saw the potential this team can play to in the non-conference stretch.

I mean, sure, we look like shit, but this officiating is complete trash. I hope this fires the team up.

Being a 2 seed hasn't always stopped them from losing in the first round before! I eagerly await the next Sparty master class in choking

Wild Turkey 101, and I'm just glad we grated the Fighting Cheesewedges and survived the flopping and hacking festival they always bring with them. Wisconsin basketball is execrable

Goblin Slayer is an absolute masterpiece

02/08/2019 - 3:18am I'd replace Craft with Brust…

I'd replace Craft with Brust and Zeller with Happ. Wisconsin basketball is an abomination.

Oladipo was actually a hell of a player to watch when he wasn't playing Michigan. That IU team was loaded and it's unbelievable that Crean couldn't take that bunch beyond the Sweet 16.

02/08/2019 - 3:04am The Kaminsky/Dekker team was…

The Kaminsky/Dekker team was the real deal (they may have flamed out in the NBA, but they were great college players), but otherwise, there's a reason the Badgers always beef it in March. Their style of play is pure cheese, but teams can get away with doing what they do in the B1G. They can't in the NCAA Tourney. Wisconsin is almost always a team built to screw teams over during conference play.

I can't stand Ethan Happ and the media slurpfest over him by the way. He can't do anything other then bang around under the rim and he somehow gets away with an unearthly amount of offensive fouling. It's painful to watch.

fuck 'em, I hope they lose to Rutgers

EDIT: Seriously can you imagine how funny it would be if ohio state lost to Rutgers??????????

Wow, they're hot garbage as of late. To think some here had already crowned them conference champs after the Wisconsin game. I think back to back losses to IU and Illinois almost counts as free fall, no?

Is comically overrating NC State a new sports tradition or something? They were rated all year in football and they were trash, and now they score 24 points in an entire basketball game. Are you kidding me?

02/02/2019 - 2:29pm Some of y'all need to back…

Some of y'all need to back off the ledge.

I still think this team can do well in the NCAA tournament. Things look like this time and time again and it's always Michigan making a run in March while the other Big Ten teams hilariously choke (Sparty included, as of late).

March Madness is a different beast. There's no home cooking officiating and no ridiculous crowd acting like their team is fighting for the fate of the world when they play Michigan. Yes, fans of all the teams show up to support their guys, but the environment is largely neutral. Michigan has performed admirably at neutral sites under Beilein, and there's no reason we should expect that to change.

02/01/2019 - 10:10pm 20-2 and it's not even March…

20-2 and it's not even March, y'know, that time of year when the Beilein death star goes fully online.

Meanwhile, like most years, Iowa and Wisconsin will probably lose in the first round to Stephen F Austin and Old Dominion or whatever. There's no home cooking in the tournament.

The bad news: The gas bill is going to suck

01/27/2019 - 10:26pm Yeah, as if OSU actually…

Yeah, as if OSU actually deserved to win that game. Michigan did plenty of dumb things, but faking a punt from your own 27? Complete garbage offense that generated zero points in the first half? Urban Meyer running around the sidelines like Shao Kahn was currently taking over earthrealm for almost the entire game? OSU was a joke that year, as we saw in their playoff game. Their offense in that game made ours in this year's game look like Oklahoma. That was a joke of a game that was decided by shady officiating.

01/27/2019 - 10:16pm I don't really follow WBB,…

I don't really follow WBB, but didn't Arico coach the team to the program's first ever banner two years ago? Sure, it was the WNIT, but that's got to mean something considering I don't think they've ever won anything before.

01/27/2019 - 5:41pm I thought this sucked at…

I thought this sucked at first but now that you mention all the former Buckeyes on that team I just find it hilarious

01/27/2019 - 4:07pm They're blaming the refs…

They're blaming the refs. Hilarious. I don't know if another team in the B1G benefits as much from the officiating as much as the Spartans (ok, maybe the Gophers, who's entire offense consists of committing offensive fouls and not getting called).

01/27/2019 - 3:15pm You're too kind in assuming…

You're too kind in assuming they won't choke before then. HAHAHAHAHA

01/27/2019 - 1:04pm Yeah I still have some left…

Yeah I still have some left over from goose season. Most don't like it but they've probably never had it cooked decently.

01/27/2019 - 11:22am Dude, for real. I remember…

Dude, for real. I remember when we made the tourney as a 10 seed back when I was in high school, and I'd never been so hype for March Madness.

01/27/2019 - 11:05am I just throw it in a crock…

I just throw it in a crock pot and season it with rosemary, oregano, bay leaves, salt, pepper, garlic, and a little onion powder. I put some onions and mushrooms in there with it and let it cook on the low setting all day.

I'm no master chef, but this seems to work for me. Every other method I've tried resulted in extremely tough meat, but this gets it nice and tender. It tastes almost like roast beef.

01/26/2019 - 9:16pm 1. Brady wins, mass butthurt…

1. Brady wins, mass butthurt from pretty much everyone but Wolverines and Pats fans, and it's going to be AWESOME

2. Goose in the crockpot

3. Hell no. I hate this weather. However, if I end up getting snowed in, I've got damn near endless meat and vegetables, a home gym, and a bottle of 100 proof Southern Comfort

01/26/2019 - 7:39pm Maybe not the best way of…

Maybe not the best way of putting it, but this dude isn't totally wrong. This is a very hot and cold team shooting-wise. However, the D is so good that we are pretty much guaranteed to be in every single game.

This is just a different team than we've become accustomed to under Beilein. It doesn't have the flashy and exciting offense some of his previous teams did, but the defense is much, much better. Instead of laughing hysterically as we drain 3 after 3, we get to laugh hysterically as opposing offenses are turned into potatoes.

This year's team is as good as any Beilein has had if you ask me. They just win games in different ways than us fans are used to.

01/26/2019 - 7:30pm Are they really that close…

Are they really that close to canning Tim Miles? I was under the impression that he was a good coach at a school that never really invested in basketball much.

01/24/2019 - 4:43pm I'd be rooting for Tennessee…

I'd be rooting for Tennessee to blow them out. Wisconsin's cute little brand of trashketball is disgusting to watch and seems specifically designed to screw teams over during conference play. There's a reason they always blow it in March (aside from when they had Kaminsky and Dekker. That team was legit).

01/21/2019 - 3:04pm Sounds like something they'd…

Sounds like something they'd serve at the Kohl Center

01/19/2019 - 7:16pm Yeah if this were March we'd…

Yeah if this were March we'd be watching Wisconsin lose to Bucknell or Stephen F. Austin in the first round as always.

It is a grave injustice and an affront to the sport any time Wisconsin wins a basketball game.

01/19/2019 - 12:07pm I can't stand Wisconsin…

I can't stand Wisconsin basketball. They always seem to drag you into a slopfest. They're very much like MSU football in that regard.

Yes, he did have a diminished role... one that he agreed to when Harbaugh was hired. Fours year later and it's a problem? I hope he beefs it royally and becomes hated by both sides. How to trash your legacy: 101

01/18/2019 - 2:24pm It was probably never…

It was probably never expected from the 20-something dude with an anime avatar to want this shit off his lawn, but yes, PLEASE get this shit off my lawn.

I've done three things competitively: chess, skeet shooting, and gaming. The first two felt far more like engaging in a sport than the latter.

If you don't have to put pants on to practice, it is not a sport. If this stuff is going to be a D-1 "sport", then why not battle rap and poker?

That being said, I hope Michigan takes a huge dump on OSU in CounterStrike.

01/16/2019 - 10:07pm Average, I guess? Not…

Average, I guess? Not horrible, but not amazing either. Him not backing Harbaugh after the 2016 ref scandal and having him apologize was shitty if you ask me.

There's plenty of OSU news on the board. There's always threads on here about any happenings down there. We don't need blog articles about them.
