And they don't play us as their first tough team. That Barkley stuff didn't work nearly as well once teams had seen it. They will have played OSU, MSU and Iowa... but honestly I think they used all their special plays up vs App state.

Was hoping game time was going to be announced today

edit: and then I was elated to pull my head out of my ass and actually look to see that it was announced as a 3:30pm kick.  Yay for not a cold ass night game.

I was thinking that of all the revenge tour games, PSU was #2.  Obviously MSU was #1 but the beat down in Happy Valley in 2017 would keep everyones attention coming off bye. I think the defense has something to prove against PSU and the offense should have a good showing.  I see a 38 17 type of game. I could also see a 2016 type of game where Michigan crushed PSU.  Got to say it, not really impressed with the PSU defense and McSorley is not that accurate. He can hurt you scrambling and/or RPO.

Love reading this from DB.

Not much to prove or get revenge against.  Moorhead and Barkley are gone; it's not the same team now.  Not to mention, it's MGoBloggers here talking about revenge.  Brown seems to be talking more about redemption.

And with that said, I love the guy's accountability.  I'd be an old codger and say it's rare these days but it's always been rare.  I'm scarcely surprised he was obscure for so long considering most people in leadership positions jump at the chance to make a scapegoat of someone with his character.

What does it mean for your team's offense when you occupy the center of this man's thoughts for a year's time? And that, for two weeks, he can allow it to fully consume him? PSU is about to find out.

Game plan ?  ... Time To Tackle Trace ... period.  DB is going to cut the head off the snake of PSU football and watch the rest of the body slither with no direction.  If we stuff McSorley, they have got nothing on offense.  And the Nittany Lion defense is not good, especially at run defense.  They give up a lot of long rush plays.  Word is PSU has the weakest LB tandem in recent history.  With our OL resurgence and 2 weeks to prepare, this could be an epic beat-down.  Something like UM 42  PSU 10 is possible.  Revenge would be sweet.

A few other gems from Don today circulating on Twitter:

On Paye vs MSU: "he was in another zone. I have no idea who I was talking to."

"Chase is Chase .... which is complete madness"

On Devin Bush and his NFL potential: "I've had people say to me, well, you know, he's not 6-2. Should we take him? He's fastest, meanest guy on the field. I dont know if that's good enough for you, but that’s what he is."

Both the players and the coaches are carrying themselves with some attitude ever since that wisonsin beatdown, which possibly started after the comeback at NW. I can't get enough of it.

When arguably the top DC in America has been thinking about gameplanning for you every day for a year, you’re probably gonna have a bad time. This game is going to be very, very personal for Don Brown.

McSorely may go back to State College with his lower half not attached to his upper half.

remember when James Franklin tired to score a touchdown late in the 4th (as time expired I believe) when Penn State was already up by 30 points? I bet Don Brown remembers that shit. RIP to the fightin’ Franklins, y’all about to die.

Yeesh, this could get ugly.  I mean, Michigan is going to score ~40 points on that middling PSU defense.  And with Michigan scoring that much, while holding the ball for ~40 minutes (because that's what they do every game), PSU will have to score ~45 in 20 minutes.  Against the #1 defense in the nation (by a large margin).  Against the DC that has had the #1 D in the nation in 3 of the previous 4 years.

Good luck, FG Franklin...

If Moorhead was still around, I'd be worried about what counterpunches he had in store for us. With Franklin, I'm just not as worried. I don't think he's got it.

McSorley is McSorley. But what else do they got? We can manage a good running back and Penn State isn't the power running team that Wisconsin was either
