I'm surprised how many (probably young 'uns) want to see less ND.  I'd prefer to play them and not Rutgers and Maryland.  Matter of fact, I'd prefer Michigan threaten leaving the conference to gain some pull on forcing the exit of those programs.  It only benefits Maryland and Rutgers to have them in the conference.  As for rivals, to me it's already OSU, MSU, ND and PSU.

10/29/2018 - 4:11pm I know it's easier said than…

I know it's easier said than done, but man I wish they'd give Shea more creative license in the game plan.  I feel like they're coaching it a bit too conservatively to rely on their defense.  It feels at times that they coach not to lose on the offensive side, and that worries me against better defenses (even if we may not see one of those until after the regular season).

10/28/2018 - 11:03pm These are good write-ups,…

These are good write-ups, but I emphatically disagree that there's no connection between the players and fans at MSU and what's happened on campus.  Many, many of their fans have taken their cues from the campaign by their administration to cover up and dismiss legitimate issues.  Then you see what "zero tolerance" Mork and enabler Izzo have been allowed to paper over and it isn't a "wrong" observation, it's an apt one.  There are times to temper one's bias; when it comes to the filth that is MSU athletics and administration you can't shine a light on their hypocrisy enough.  Is it ironic that they refer to U of M as scum?

10/25/2018 - 5:53pm For all the talk about these…

For all the talk about these kids' judgments and self righteous guffawing about entitlement, it would seems that the reason a coach didn't get his ass kicked is because of the repercussions that would impact "student athletes" if they were to do so.  The power dynamic is so tilted towards coaches because of money that it would absolutely ruin anyone who attacked a coach, regardless of justification, because the narrative would be spun against the athlete no matter what actually happened.  We laud Fort Schembechler, but it is an insulated culture that gives all the power to coaches that births cultures that happen at Maryland or Happy Valley, or East Lansing.  I'm not saying that the same thing is happening in AA, but we have little to no idea what happens inside the program when the cameras aren't running.  We should almost be more skeptical the squeakier it looks.  Instead we have a culture where the institution defends the programs because the programs basically fund the institution.

In regard to Dantoni, no one cares because the standard there is only beat Michigan and they are a regional, trash program that only makes negative headlines that they try to cover up these days.

10/15/2018 - 5:51pm I know it's tongue in cheek,…

I know it's tongue in cheek, but is there any evidence that Mork employs 'roiding?  I'm not saying this to lecture anyone, I think they actually do it.  Their O-line went from looking completely inept and incapable against Northwestern to looking functional against Penn State.  Maybe Penn State's front is that much worse, but I think there's something sharp in the water at EL.

10/15/2018 - 12:31am Yeah, I disagree.  While…

Yeah, I disagree.  While there is a range of misbehavior, the college football system as overseen by the NCAA is broken.  This happens at more places than you might think and is enabled by incompetent oversight by the NCAA.  The system also dehumanizes kids by limiting the scope in which they are valued.  We don't want to help kids achieve what's best for them when it comes to big time football, we want them to help our school win and turn more profit to the point where even their degree revolves around that end goal.  Student athletes are limited to those that play sports that only exist in the orbit of mostly football and sometimes basketball.

10/15/2018 - 12:26am Says no one at all.  We all…

Says no one at all.  We all have unique choices to make and make different degrees of wise and unwise choices, but those choices are impacted by circumstance and environment.  Why wouldn't we want to learn what forms and shapes who is thought of as society's worst so we can improve the range of choices we all have going forward?  Sorry if that doesn't gel with your apparent theory of individualized manifest destiny (which is a myth btw).

Call me paranoid, but until Michigan executes as expected against MSU I'm going to assume the worst.  I hope their running struggles stay consistent, but you know they have wrinkles stored up specifically for this game.

10/14/2018 - 4:53pm Keys to the game:

1) This…

Keys to the game:

1) This may not be statistical or measurable, but they have to be as intense as MSU if not more.

2) Get off to a good start.  Hopefully they can grab the lead early which will allow them to dictate how the game is played.  If MSU has one of their patented 9 minute drives early, it's going to be time to hit the Pepto.

3) Just win.

10/14/2018 - 4:27pm MSU is like anal warts. …

MSU is like anal warts.  Tough to get rid of, gets worse if not comprehensively dealt with, and needs specific conditions (luck) to thrive.

10/14/2018 - 12:01am I hope we're all ready for…

I hope we're all ready for MSU's offense of jet sweeps, slants, screens, and God knows what else.  Watching them today it looks like Mork got the steroids injected into that O-line.  James Franklin remains terrible.  I hope the boys have another level of intensity, because MSU isn't going to make the same strategic mistakes Wisconsin did.

Average in pass protection?  What are you watching?

From what I saw from Brian and others, guys were open in windows against zone but Patterson held onto the ball.  He had time to throw all night and didn't get rid of it.

Higdon > Weber indeed

10/13/2018 - 11:47pm Eh, actually Idk how much…

Eh, actually Idk how much preparation is involved when they tip what they're going to do whenever Solomon comes in.  It's either jet or fake jet.  The Milton play early was terrible.  The McCaffery thing was somewhat clever but was read perfectly.  Just run the offense.

10/12/2018 - 7:15pm Things Happy Valley,…

Things Happy Valley, Columbus and East Lansing are better at than Ann Arbor:

1) Rape and molestation (child and women)

2) Bestiality

3) Assault

4) Looking the other way

5) Misogyny

6) Hypocrisy
