05/29/2018 - 12:12pm I don’t know why we get to

I don’t know why we get to worked up about these polls. It is ALWAYS good if the teams you play in a given season are ranked ahead of you at the beginning of the year. For instance is it better for us to beat a #5 Norte Dame team or #20? It’s the exact same team when you play them, but you get an extra rankings bump when you beat them, or take less of a hit if you lose.

I haven’t watched this show yet. Is it that good, or you guys just like it because you got into over the years? Worth watching?

The dude is going to redshirt and is behind Mcaffrey even after the others leave. Can someone delete this thread?

05/22/2018 - 12:19pm Peterson will not beat out

Peterson will not beat out Paterson. Shea is already the starter in Harbaugh’s mind as well as the team. The talent gap is obvious. Injury is the only reason he would not start. To say Peters has any shot to start is just wrong.

The “math” answer is actually inaccurate. You are falling into the same fallacy that has people believing a 50% free thrower who makes the first free throw will “likely” miss the second. He still has the same 50% chance of making the second.

In what world is this a “low salary”? If he budgets his money he can live off a six figure salary for the next 20+ years simply by playing out this contract.

There is no insurance interest in “falling in the draft” and as such, no policy is available.

This is as simple as the coach says the job is still up for grabs and he kid is too naive to see the obvious. Great confidence, good job by coach, now to tear his ass down a peg in the fall so he understands his redshirt and is ready to compete next year.

Even in that game, he’s so much more aggressive and skilled than anyone we have seen at Michigan in years. I am excited for his potential.

05/10/2018 - 10:04am “Accusers” NEVER drop

“Accusers” NEVER drop charges. That is not their prerogative. Dropping charges is at the sole discretion of the prosecutor. If the evidence was there to prosecute, the DA would go forward with it without the cooperation of the victim. Happens all the time, in every jurisdiction.

Based on this post, your biggest concern is that you worry too much. College is incredibly easy for anyone with average or better intelligence. Go and have fun. If you put in the time to complete the course work you will be successful. Period.

Fairly sure they can get just about any qb they set there eye on. They won’t be hurting any time soon if they continue to evaluate talent well.

Not “intimate”. I meant Immediate. Sorry for the typos.

05/08/2018 - 12:44pm Honest question: will OSU

Honest question: will OSU realest him to play in the big 10? Should they? My intimate feeling, and I do see both sides, is that when a kid leaves a good situation such as OSU based simply because he is beaten out by the competition, the team should not necessarily be expected to let the kid go compete directly against them...and, yes, I am simply assuming that there is not other non-football issue.

05/08/2018 - 12:40pm This kid strikes me as a kid

This kid strikes me as a kid that is accustomed to winning, expects to win, and hates to lose. That should be a star all of its own when rating QB’s. I wish they had made the Amazon documentary this year, I’ll bet it would have been a shockingly different team attitude.

Are you smoking weed in your jammies?

05/01/2018 - 1:31pm In terms of arm strength,

In terms of arm strength, Mallet had an absolute cannon. Henne also had a cannon. In the early 2000’s there were several other guys with big arms. Shea is very exciting, but he doesn’t have a bigger arm than those guys.

04/30/2018 - 2:38pm Defense is something that you

Defense is something that you can learn and get a lot better if you have tools. If you are an offensive skill position player worthy of stars, it’s hard to be terribly underrated. Simply being big and fast gains stars, and/or putting the ball in the end zone and piling up yards gains stars. If you can’t be productive in high school, it’s unlikely that you will be a star at Michigan.

04/30/2018 - 10:09am If he ever touches a ball the

If he ever touches a ball the Lions should be forced to forfeit...their lives.

04/25/2018 - 7:12pm “Set for at least 10 years at

“Set for at least 10 years at two positions.”? Very, vary rare for a running back to be even a viable option for 10 years. Much less being able to find a high caliber starting QB in the same draft. It’s very possible that Barkley has 3, 4, even 5 good or great seasons and is well past his prime (or retired) by the time the QB they draft is developed and ready to lead a winning team.

04/25/2018 - 6:23pm Yes it is. All you have to do

Yes it is. All you have to do is watch them jog into the field to see the talent gap.

04/24/2018 - 4:41pm It doesn’t effect recruiting

It doesn’t effect recruiting in basketball or football because, in the case of girls being abused, it is assumed that a) it will not happen to a boy/man, and b) it is an issue that is not the direct fault of the coach and is in the past.

With regard to the basketball teams sexual assault issues, each parent and recruit believes this is something that will not happen to them and doesn’t affect them. Izzo has the keys to the kingdom of the NBA and that is too good to pass up in a lot of cases. That’s just the truth of the matter.

04/23/2018 - 3:53pm A good college football

A good college football player at Michigan has a better shot of playing in the NFL for a couple years than a good Michigan baseball player has at playing in the show at all. You forget, Michigan football is essentially equal to a minor league NFL team. As a baseball player he would have to excel in college and then work his way up through the minors; typically at least 3 successful minor league seasons.

You are right if he truly projects as a big league center fielder. But, that’s a long ways off at this point, so playing both sports may in fact be his best option at this point. Especially if he excels at both sports in college and creates some bargaining leverage.

Counterpoint: he blows out his knee covering a kickoff as a freshman.

HIPPA doesn’t apply to saying someone is able to play football or not able to play football.

Do you also believe that, because football is a form of war, the dorms are just horrendous 3rd Amendment violations?

I can’t help but think of the poor guy who’s job it is to load shit in a train. Or the guy who has to sign for the organize the shit when it arrives in Alabama. “Put that shit in the corner, and that other shit in the other corner.” He probably just ends up sounding like a dock to all the other shit employees all day.

04/18/2018 - 1:04pm I just took a dump and yelled

I just took a dump and yelled out, “all aboard, roll Tide.”

This is an awful story, but somehow Alabama’s football success makes me think it is okay. We should all be allowed to dump on them at least once. They have been ruining my Saturdays for years now.

04/17/2018 - 10:24am Based on the tweets posted in

Based on the tweets posted in this thread he has not committed a crime...yet. His threats are not contemporaneous. For example if he said, “I’m going to shoot person X tomorrow” - that could be a criminal threat. However, his (possible) threat is conditional in various ways and couched in terms of “next time.” He should be disciplined however, and in my opinion, absent an extraordinary set of mitigating circumstances, dismissed from the team today.

04/15/2018 - 10:35pm Chemicals weapons

Chemicals weapons manufacturing sites were targeted. However, only sites with precursor chemicals were targeted. So, no, not a major danger in this instance and part of the reason the attack was so limited.

Tell it to Desmond Howard and a list of some of the best players UM has ever seen.

04/13/2018 - 5:20pm Because instead of needing 4

Because instead of needing 4 or more first downs (if you can limit the big play), a team would only need 2 first downs or one chunk play to have a decent field goal attempt. That’s probably 10 or so more plays that an offense has to properly execute without turning the ball over to our points on the board. Seems that onside kick, rarely recovered, would be a statistically bad choice for a team with a good, or even decent, defense.

04/13/2018 - 1:50pm After watching the Amazon

After watching the Amazon series, I’m not surprised they are having trouble with some soft players. Zordich is a tough dude and he sounds frustrated. I would have preferred he didn’t make the Hill comments, but I understand where he’s coming from. The team looks and sounds soft. They play soft. Even guys like Gary come off as extremely immature (even accounting for their actual age) and lacking the fire of top tier athletes. The Qb’s, wow, total deer in headlight and lack of leadership. Shea Patterson could be exactly what this team needs; some athletic confidence, swagger. I guarantee an Ole Miss team doesn’t look that soft on film if they do that documentary; and no, I am not saying I prefer the team take on all aspects of that program’s mentality. You hear the guys say they haven’t watched the documentary, or “not much of it”...that’s BS. Of course they’ve all seen it. They are embarrassed of all the crying, losing and how they came off. And, I think they should be.

Go Blue.

04/12/2018 - 12:53am Watched the Michigan

Watched the Michigan documentary. It all makes sense to me know. Harbaugh was mic’ed up all season and it really took away some of his intensity and ability to be fired up.

This seems like an attempt to keep Shea, and the new look offense, off of film prior to the season as much as possible. Harbaugh is not a guy that worries about weather too much. Although, perhaps injury is the major concern.
