For all of our beefs with the refs and fouls, at least this isn’t a blog  full of Saints fans. I can’t even imagine the anger and frustration they must be dealing with.

I agree with your pick of NO. Saints are 6-0 in home playoff games under Payton. 2-5 on the road under Payton. Home field advantage is a thing in New Orleans.

So far this season, Michigan has been ready to ball out when playing against their top opponents. I like that Beilein has had a week to focus on this matchup - that’s a big advantage. I think we win by 5.

Not a present at all.

You never have to pay for a gift - it’s an oxymoron if you do. It’s like someone giving you a bill and trying to pass it off as a present.

This is not "I WILL EAT YOUR FAMILY IF YOU TAKE ANOTHER SHOT LIKE THAT," which I assume is one of the milder things you'd overhear Izzo say during a typical game.

Love it! Now I want this same story done by someone listening to Izzo throughout a game. Preferably the game they play us at Crisler. Brian - PLEASE make this happen.

lol, thanks BB for the shoutout and thanks EQ for the translation. I am actually from Ann Arbor and live in a little subdivision off of North Delhi Rd - hence the username. Not Indian at all, I'm afraid.

Yes, Tua's brother is in Bama's 2019 class. Bloodlines are significant but they don't mean everything. I don't know why Gattis would be motivated to make this up.

Totally respect your take Magnus - you know a ton more about the recruiting scene and I trust your judgment. I'm just glad to see us beating out Alabama for their top targets.

Yeah, but Ryan Day is not Urban Meyer and it isn’t close. Urban was a proven HC with 2 National Championships. Day looks good but no one really knows how he’ll do as the big boss.

Gentry’s drops vs OSU were uncharacteristic. He has pretty good hands, actually and the UFRs from this season confirm this.

In general, that’s true for many coaches, but not for Harbaugh. The guy is usually so freaking general and vague by nature that when he bestows an actual specific compliment, it actually does mean something.

My personal theory is this: until Brian goes through the pain of UFRing an OSU loss, we will not win The Game.

Not to mention, it’s almost always overcast and gloomy during the winter in MI. When my NYC born and bred wife and I moved our family to A2 3 years ago, she struggled a lot with this. Same climate but a lot more dreary in the winters. I never really noticed it before she pointed it out, but she has a point.

11/26/2018 - 3:37pm We already average 37 points…

We already average 37 points per game. There are only 7 P5 teams that have average more points per game than Michigan. Our offense has been pretty good this year.

Moreover, we average the same amount of points per play (.521) as Ohio State (.525). Heck, West Virginia is only slightly better, averaging .555 points per play.

So you may have a problem with the pace of the offense, but they can score, they maximize their chances to do so when they have the ball, and they are good at it. I know you're frustrated with losing and I am too - believe me. But the facts don't support your hot take that our offense is bad. In fact, just the opposite.

11/26/2018 - 3:25pm Um, we never pressured him…

Um, we never pressured him. If we did, I think the outcome of the game is a W for Michigan. We couldn't get pressure on Haskins. Therefore, he had all day to throw when he dropped back. This allowed OSU to pick on Watson and Gill with their great QB and great WRs and exploit mismatches they knew were there.

If we got the pressure our D usually gets on an opposing QB, Haskins doesn't have the time or the ability to make half of those throws, we get more stops, and the outcome is far different.

11/26/2018 - 3:21pm We did not lose the game…

We did not lose the game primarily due to the offense. The offense moved the ball and scored points. Not to say that they were perfect or that nothing needs to be changed, but it kills me that so many people want to FIRE PEP and GET A GOOD OC who can teach our guys to THROW THE BALL EVERYWHERE. We actually matched our season average in points scored. The offense was not a tire fire by any stretch.

We lost the game because our defense got throttled. We couldn't pressure the QB, couldn't cover their WRs, and had no answers for the OSU offense. Our defense let us down. And I know it's really hard to believe and all, but we would have won this game if our defense kept OSU from scoring more than 40 points.

11/26/2018 - 2:20pm This is the correct take.

This is the correct take.

11/26/2018 - 11:40am I keep wondering why we…

I keep wondering why we couldn’t get any consistent pressure with our pass rush. That is the core issue of what doomed us. Gave Haskins absurd amount of time to pick on Watson and Gill. I may be wrong but I think Hill was also out and losing Long only made coverage issues worse.

Losing Bush hurt big time. We needed his sideline to sideline speed.

I think losing JBB last week also really hurt. No UFR but I think they really picked on Steuber with their pass rush and that led to many pressures on Shea.

Reakly just still can’t believe how our badly our defense got dominated.

to take the Catholic position, this is not Hell, but it’s Purgatory and the one hope we have is that eventually, one day, the effects of that Sin are finally purged, the pain is over, and we finally get to go to heaven.

Need to find a way to get a Plenary Indulgence ASAP.

11/23/2018 - 4:10pm Tomorrow we destroy BPONE…

Tomorrow we destroy BPONE once and for all.

Tomorrow, somewhere in Q3, we realize that Don MF Brown has lost as much sleep thinking about OSU the same way he thought about PSU.

Tomorrow, we watch an entire fan base leave their own stadium early because it’s getting so bad.

Tomorrow, we watch Jim Harbaugh’s vindication in real time and revel in it.

Tomorrow, Christmas comes early.

I believe.
