Wow, 54,543 words! Here's to the far-off day the preview hits 109,901. The "01"st word will be reserved for Brian, though no one will know exactly which word it is. Probably something like "kerfuffle" or "like-substance".

None, because we need to be breaking in the 2017/18 starters/backups during garbage time.

Mental mistake. He thought it was G Robinson, whom he expected to be five feet farhter up in the air by then.
|1 year 13 weeks ago||Maybe||
Really, if two days ago you thought that MSU would face Penn State without Cook, what would you say? I'd say Penn State had a chance. The only thing that happened since then is Ohio State choked hard.
|1 year 18 weeks ago||Don't worry about recruits||
This sentiment is tiresome and incorrect. Recruits don't come to a game and say "I'll go to whatever school wins."

I think you mean butthole. Like people think Harbaugh is a "butthole". It's a compliment.
|2 years 9 weeks ago||Me too.||
I'm getting the ghost clicks on my iPhone 5 also.
|2 years 20 weeks ago||Actually...||
Hoke's record has improved greatly since he has been at Michigan.
|2 years 23 weeks ago||Perfect||
Wow, your comments hit the nail on the head for me. Looking back at the Hoke era it's hard to hang a coaching hat on ANY victory. The big wins felt a lot more like the result of luck and/or individual player skill than any aspect of coaching.
Hoke's Michigan just doesn't feel like a program that is looking for ways to win. It feels like a program that is committed to doing things a certain way and assumes that this loyalty will lead to wins. Q: "How are you going to beat team X?" A: "By being Michigan."
|2 years 23 weeks ago||Amen||
With this, correct, perspective it's really funny that we're scratching our heads and wondering why our MAC-level coach has given us a MAC-level team.
|2 years 23 weeks ago||Other programs just want to||
Other programs just want to win. Michigan wants a nice guy who loves the program and gets along with all of the alumni and has connections to coaches past and is his players' best friend and believes unflinchingly in the 'old ways'...
|2 years 23 weeks ago||You know I felt the same way.||
You know I felt the same way. Despite the score it really felt like we were just not finishing while Notre Dame was just playing very very well. ...in the first half anyway. Then it felt like it all started to get into our teams' heads and that's when they really started unfolding.

Ah this takes me back. I used to think that getting up before 7 was early.

Kids at Ivy League schools are already rich.

Yes, totally not NBA ready.... Scouts, come back next year.

Ed Martin made this demon we call Izzo and now we are witnessing his defeat at the hands of Beilein.

We're missing the obvious answer here: Moving goal posts.

Six points, man! SIX!! Even if the defense plays well we lose this one 21-6 or so a la the Nebraska or Iowa games.

Also, your oldest son's girlfriend: Woof!
|3 years 11 weeks ago||Well||
A powerful running back in a spread offense is still a spread offense. Hyde might not have gotten 8 yards per carry if M could have committed 8 guys to the box. Having Miller back there and receivers in space made that impossible. It wasn't just Manball.
|3 years 12 weeks ago||Fans are looking at this team||
Fans are looking at this team and seeing regression. I believe that they would accept the youth/transition arguement and be patient if this team was stuggling, but getting better. It is not. Both last year and this, the team has gotten worse over the course of the season.
Do we need to wait for a senior 5-star QB? Devin Gardner. NFL talent on the O-line? Lewan and Schofield. Playmakers at WR? Gallon, Dileo, Funchess. A 1000-yard RB? Toussaint.
I'm sorry, but there is plenty of talent here and this staff is squandering it. How can we trust that future talent will fare any better once we've waited for year 5?
|3 years 12 weeks ago||Maybe if we win the turnover||
Maybe if we win the turnover battle like 3-1 and get a score on defense and they miss an easy field goal... Wait, that happened today.
|3 years 12 weeks ago||Jesus, I hate these coaches||
Jesus, I hate these coaches even more now. Gardner is like an abused spouse blaming himself.
|3 years 12 weeks ago||Exactly! Gardner was a five||
Exactly! Gardner was a five star, elite 11 recruit with obvious physical talent and just look what this staff has turned him into.

"Guys like Saban, Miles, Harbaugh, Meyer etc. are not coming to Michigan."
|3 years 12 weeks ago||I would like to start a||
I would like to start a campaign against the notion that any coaching change would necessarily be painful. Just hire a coach that is ready for a program like Michigan, give him the support he needs, and he will know what to do. Example: Ohio State.
|3 years 12 weeks ago||I think a lot of us were||
I think a lot of us were weary of the Hoke hire, but getting Mattison and then the 2011 season just disarmed our correct reservations. An elite CEO-style coach is already planning his next OC and I doubt Hoke is doing that.
|3 years 12 weeks ago||I respectfully disagree.||
I respectfully disagree. Players drop passes and make little mistakes in every game. The issue is that our scheme only seems to generate handful of good plays per game and when someone drops the ball it a just gets magnified. These mistakes kill drives and turn TDs into FGs. They don't explain 158 total yards of offense.
