In 5 second half drives, we got 4 straight Hassan Haskins touchdowns and then victory formation on the last one. Victory formation only because Harbaugh has more class than Woody Hayes.

Although it's been mentioned so much already, the rushing difference still blows me away. After seeing Henderson shred defenses all year, I thought for sure he'd be a factor. 64 total rush yards though... Which I know factors in sacks, but still.

Here's a stat: FUCK OHIO STATE
November 28th, 2021 at 1:08 AM ^
Mmmm, yes. One of my favorites.
November 28th, 2021 at 1:08 AM ^
Hassan Haskins just scored again
729 days since Michigan lost to Ohio State
November 28th, 2021 at 1:09 AM ^
Also, 59-51-6 head to head. Nice to create some more cushion today!
November 28th, 2021 at 1:12 AM ^
With his five TDs, I can't help but make a comparison to Tim Biakabatuka torching them years ago. They still refer to him as Tim "Fucking" Biakabatuka...I wonder if Haskins will be remembered similarly for them...
November 28th, 2021 at 1:15 AM ^
Yeah - they are going to be thinking about H2 for a long time! They are not used to sitting out the B1G championship. How sweet it is!

H2-OH!

Rumor is he trained all year hurdling scarlet and grey coolers.

Prob had to wear a nose plug

The Biakabatuka game was my first ever at Michigan Stadium. Still have the ticket stub.
November 28th, 2021 at 8:57 AM ^
He went over the would-be tackle like he was stepping over a hurdle.
November 28th, 2021 at 1:20 AM ^
Michigan had two third downs in the the second half but Ohio State committed penalties on both (one offsides and one PI). Still, that's crazy.
November 28th, 2021 at 1:20 AM ^
Hurdling-a-fool stat
Hassan Haskins: 1
anOSU: 0
November 28th, 2021 at 8:01 AM ^
C’mon now, he hurdles a bunch of fools on that leaping TD into the end zone is well. It’s at least 2-0
November 28th, 2021 at 9:39 AM ^
I see what you did, and I like it!
November 28th, 2021 at 1:24 AM ^
With this game we probably keep Stroud from winning the Heisman and have an outside chance at getting one of our guys Haskins, who gets Desmond's vote, or Hutchinson, who gets Brian's probably.
I don't know if I am more impressed by the rushing stats (the week after MSU couldn't get Walker going), the defensive stats (never saw us holding them under 30), or the coaching (they were totally prepared for this and had the perfect game plan.
November 28th, 2021 at 1:26 AM ^
Idk man he still kinda tore it up today
November 28th, 2021 at 2:02 AM ^
It does feel a lot like 1995. Huge underdog against the #2 Buckeyes, Michigan RB absolutely goes off, and OSU's star player has a solid day but has to settle for the Heisman as a consolation prize after we shattered their dreams of a national championship...

In reference to the OPs stat of no TFLs, I could tell that one of the small things I noticed would make a difference today... Every time HH got met at contact, he always managed to get an additional yard or two falling forward, something that the osu defense didn't allow much against other teams. A small thing, but an indicator to me that Michigan was getting it done.
Also, one stat I saw during the broadcast... Over 200 rushing yards BEFORE contact?? Crazy against that defense.

I attended the game with my dad. On our way to the game I said if Michigan has a chance they need to score a TD every time they get the ball. Well they did that in the second half. Hot damn.
November 28th, 2021 at 11:19 AM ^
To be fair, it is virtually impossible to lose a football game if you score a touchdown every time you get the ball. ;)
But, yes, the second-half drive chart was a thing of beauty. Actually, starting after Michigan’s punt with 10:51 remaining in the 2nd quarter, and a 7-3 lead (which they’d surrender and trail for the only time all game):
13 plays, 82 yards, touchdown
(end of half)
3 plays, 81 yards, touchdown
5 plays, 78 yards, touchdown
9 plays, 66 yards, touchdown
5 plays, 63 yards, touchdown
(end of game)
?

Pretty sure it was just some of the snow making it's way through the tv, not to worry.

The drive with the big run from Corum followed by the 12 yard Haskins TD was the most beautiful thing I’ve seen from Michigan football since maybe Braylonfest. Especially since whoever OSU’s stud RB seems to bust at least one 60 yarder every year against us….was so awesome to see them on the receiving end of that in this decade.
November 28th, 2021 at 2:02 AM ^
The way this team is moving guys at the line of scrimmage is amazing. Honestly this team in some ways, at least from a RB/OL perspective is starting to remind me of, dare I say, 2014 Ohio State. Haskins just keeps getting stronger the way Zeke Elliot had like 800 yards in his last 4 games that year….and then just add the lightening of Corum and the pass catching threat of Edwards (and Corum/Haskins) along with a good Oline only getting better, we could legit be playing 3 more games instead of 2 and we could very very pleasantly surprised at how they each turn out. But one game at a time, BEAT IOWA!
November 28th, 2021 at 3:49 AM ^
I thought the same thing. It was like they identified the weak spot and could run into it all day. The team we do not speak did that in 2014 over and over and over with those little traps for 10-12-14 yards. Crush Iowa with this.
November 28th, 2021 at 7:40 AM ^
Thank you for reminding me to watch edwards one handed catch. That grab is only second to Ronnie’s from the first game.
November 28th, 2021 at 2:29 AM ^
If you remove the 2 kneel downs at the end…we averaged 7.67 yards per carry. That is absolutely absurd.
November 28th, 2021 at 5:19 AM ^
I mean that UM would run for 300 essentially and OSU would run for 80 or so even excluding sacks is the most shocking. And 35 of OSU's running yards came on two plays they got caught not set with tempo. I think Henderson's longest run of the day besides those two was around 6 yards. It's feel old school in a way but some things never change. If you dominate the line of scrimmage on both sides you are going to win the majority of the time. The team that has won the rushing stat has now won the last 20 in the series.

7.67 ypc is almost triple every other opponent.
