Firing Howard earlier, perhaps keeps Sanderson. Which, is arguably more important than keeping Juwan to finish out an 8-25 season only to get axed 2 days later.
TBH. I'm more interested in what he can bring in via recruiting than transfer. I think this is more of a sign of how seriously Moore is taking recruiting Ohio. I like our general approach of grabbing transfers to fill holes, not our depth/roster.
This is a ridiculous premise. There's at least a dozen NFL starters from the UofM O-line that are from the Sunbelt. And at least that, if not more, skilled position players from the corn belt.
Walter's runs man to man almost exclusively. He's a great defensive coach, undoubtedly. However, I'm not sure how good someone off of his coaching tree is going to be at coaching zone schemes as elaborate as ours.
I mean, can you blame him? First time HC, with a first time OC (Yes, I know Campbell was the OC at ODU, but is that really the same thing?) AND a first time CO-DC's in Elston and Clink?! I mean, MAYBE, if it was Minter as HC and Moore stayed OC. Then I could see the CO-DC thing working. But, if I was Moore, I'd want a guy that knew the system and was a proven play caller running the defense .
Regardless of whether he's at Charlotte or Baltimore; he's young, familiar with the scheme, and familiar with recruiting. I'd be elated if the brought him back
My only real concern is that we're the only team in the country that runs this defense. We're now in a position where the coaches we bring in are either going to be, A) Established recruiters with little to no familiarity with the system. Or, B) Ravens D guys that have little to no recruiting chops. IMHO, the best path forward is to promote young coaches familiar with the system to on field positions. They're more likely to be eager to recruit than guys that have been in the NFL for 20 years. If we go with proven recruiters, we run the risk of having the players teaching the system to the coaches.
We just hired the first African American head football coach at the University of Michigan. He is 37 years old. He's a virtually unanimous choice. And, we just won a natty. Chill bro, everything is going to be fine.
If this was the only thing, then, yes. Unfortunately, considering the state of the basketball program, the Mel Pearson debacle, the fact that Naruto seems to be flailing, the volleyball coach issues, the retirement of Hutch, the lackluster performance of the new softball coach, et. al. I think it's time to bid Warde a fond adieux.
Linguist took a team Liepold built and ran it into the ground. He just saw the writing on the wall and got out before the axe dropped. As for leaving Michigan on short notice, I'd say we did alright without him.
We offered. He has a great story about keeping his recruitment open just so he could get an in-home with Bo, because he loved him so much. Knowing, the whole time, that there was no way his dad was going to let him go anywhere other than Ohio State.
Yes. Chalk holds. FSU is in. The problem with Georgia losing is you either put Bama in at 4 and upset Texas fans, or you leave the SEC out and upset the entire SEC. FSU is a small school with a fairly small fan base and the rest of the ACC isn't going to bat for them. So, by leaving FSU out, you upset the least number of people. Sure, the rest of the country is going to complain, but not enough to make anyone's life miserable.
Congrats young grasshopper! (I will not be increasing the clicks for the Columbus Dispatch). Next time, a better synopsis of the article would be nice.
I mean, if we're talking an Alan Bowman situation: come here, compete, get your head right, maybe play or back up. Sure. If we're talking come in and start. Nah.

It's generally posted on YouTube. However, it hasn't been posted yet. I know M generally broadcasts it on the Michigan Athletics page. Not every school does that, though.

Perhaps, Juwan is Julius Caesar. 🤷

How is this any different than what Warde has proven himself to be? He'd rather shit himself than lift the toilet seat.
And... Bringing back Sanderson! 😎
O-line: Taylor Lewan, David Baas, Jeff Backus, and Adam Kraus, to start.

Isn't EJ Holland the guy who Will Johnson and his family hate?
Am I the only one who thought, "Why on earth is Chris Stapleton going off on John U. Bacon?!"

I'm going to assume that this was a poor attempt at humor and reserve my neg.
CHARLES WOODSON is always the correct answer.

I stand corrected. THIS is the most multi-posts I've ever seen.
This has to be the most multi-posts I've ever seen.

Was that for effect or did CJK4H twice?
I follow him mostly for the Ben content.

This may be recency bias or homerism, but I think it was the single greatest stop in the history of football.
I think Day will get next year. Who should they hire? Fisch. Who do I think they'll hire? Fickell.
Thanks for the context!
Welp. We can all reference this next year when the "Why doesn't anyone hire Chris Creighton" murmurs start.
Belichick's a defensive guy.
Kid's got talent, but had trouble holding on to the ball and hitting the right hole. Best wishes to him. My bet is that he ends up at South Carolina.
BK Finest…

BK Finest it.

Back on my day, we called a 6' 1.5" Tight End a Fullback! We welcome big guys of all heights! GO BLUE!
Stay classy Ohio State.
This would be great, but he won't pass admissions... 🤦

I thought this was a done deal a while ago. Best of luck to him. I hope he enjoys watching his head coaches face turn the same color as his shirt. 🤷
The only way I'm ok with this is if the B1G has decided not to stand in the way of M leaving the conference.
How about we just win out and then leave the B1G? They can keep the Pettiti and try to renegotiate without us and The Game in the fold.
SHIT. I won't even visit their website for score updates. Different folks, I suppose.
