NJ WR Bo Melton Takes Jab at Coach Harbaugh After Committing to Rutgers

Submitted by FauxMo on

After committing to Rutgers over a bunch of other schools, he posted a pic on Twitter of him on a fictional magazine cover with the caption: "Message to Michigan: Sorry Coach Harbaugh, I don't follow, I lead."

I wonder if Coach Harbaugh will ever be able to recover from this kind of verbal assault from an 18 year old who has chosen to win 9 games total over his 4 year college career at the worst team in the Big Ten?

My favorite part is the Rutgers fans in the comments talking trash like Chris Ash is suddenly going to voodoo everyone in New Jersey into forgetting that Rutgers is Rutgers

I don't get it. Why? I've never heard of this guy; what's his beef? Also, this is hilarious. It's like floor slapping when you're down by 10 points...except that Rutgers isn't favored to win anything ever.

That'd be a recruiting violation. Unless by "Rutgers," you mean some random ass Rutgers fan. At which point you have to figure they should probably start with smack talking the Purdue's of the conference before talking to Michigan. I mean I'll see your Melton and raise you one Rashan Gary. That still leaves a lot of top NJ prospects not named.

We actually just talked about it for about two minutes on "Wolverine Wanderings" - I really don't get it either, but it is interesting to see some small backlash, if that is what it is, from within the state of New Jersey. I very much doubt this changes things, but the statement was amusing. Part of the reason that it was amusing, of course, is that leading at Rutgers has the implication of a glorious 7-5 campaign....someday.

Uh, pretty sure this is an edit made by the Rutgers staff and not Melton. Not sure why people are blaming a high school kid in this thread.
