I like the odds on your last bet. McCray or Gedeon get excited, dive into the wrong lane, and they bust a long run. Maybe two. But all in all they end up very much dead
It'll be modeled as "Tough Tennessee squad returns to roots; survives tough App State test" as they continue to get pumped up and we hear how they'd win the Big Ten or ACC
Gotta say though, I think App State is just a good mid-major (as much as Tennessee is crapping the bed) as they're drawing even with UT on both lines of scrimmages. I bet this is a 10-2 mid major type squad
App State up 7-3 early. Would love to see Tennessee flop this year. Not quite sure why. I think I have lingering angry feelings toward Phil Fulmer and I can't remember why. Something about 1997 voting?
Look at the screenshot on this return. That's 5 guys with 1 blocker and if you watch the clip, the blocker (Stribling) spectacularly manages to not even lay a hand on a Rutgers player so Peppers beat 5 guys by himself
Peppers' ability to (terrifyingly) field punts on the run is a huuuuge advantage. As a gunner, you've gotta be always thinking about not getting there early and jacking the returner for a 15 yd penalty. If the dude is catching in on the fly and you can't see the ball, you almost have to stand and watch. Peppers blew by like 4-5 guys right away on that Minnesota return partially because you have to leave him be till he has it, and then as soon as he has it, he's running full speed away from you. Lethal if you can do that intentionally
He's obviously well connected and knows things. Maybe Jabrill was lookiung at a 0.5 or 1 game suspension on Monday when umbig11 got his info and since then Jabrill worked it out with Harbaugh to cover it with early morning workouts or whatever.
I'm not too surprised since CB is more than just Jourdan Lewis. Opposite him we have two seniors who both are good but have flaws. If you count that as a 4, then you can land at 4.5 overall
Our demise was Lloyd Carr beginning to coast and then hiring Richrod & Hoke in back to back searches. That season - even with that loss - should've been helpful to Michigan's program in the grand scheme of things.
I wonder how good this team would be if it was Year 3 or Year 4 with Harbaugh with the exact same roster. Gotta imagine the OL at minimum would be significantly better.
I assume it's because Hawaii has game tape out there now while Michigan (and about 126 other FBS teams do not) so they were looking for that aspect to be 'fair'
I can see why Hawai'i would kindly ask for our scrimmage tape here but at the same time don't really blame Harbaugh for saying no. If you want to be the first team to play in 'Week Zero' then your tape is gonna be out there before anyone elses
Seriously. Everyone gets pissed at coaches for boilerplate answers but what do you expect? Every real answer is scrutinized and in instances like this where it can be misconstrued, they are completely blown out of proportion

+1. Brian put in some serious work. I had to stop working these last few days just to read it all
I'm feeling 12-2 at the end of the year. Loss to Iowa, vengeance in the BTCG, loss in the semis to Bama in the 2-3 game

App State is blowing this. WTF are they doing
Wrong thread
I think Mike Debord is calling App State's plays now
App State needs to roll out whatever trick plays they have in the playbook. The run game is slowing to a halt

I know Tennessee just scored, but this feels like a game where App State's gonna grind out a 9 minute, 80 yard drive and kick a FG with a minute to go
They have two phenomenal running backs, neither of which can find any running room
I've seen that damned blocked kick 3 times already
I think this is their 3rd year in FBS
Tennessee's O-line is gonna be gutted this year. Really not winning the battles vs App State. Gonna have a bad time vs Bama
This is just fantastic

oh my gosh I'm loving this game. So many pissed Tennessee fans
Wow this game is already close to halftime? App State is incinerating that clock
Cincinnati in trouble at home. Down 7-6 to Tennessee-Martin at half
He's having flashbacks in the booth as we speak
App State is actually controlling the LOS on defense surprisingly well
Just because the SEC is so annoying.

The WLA will be appalled
If the ad space is sold to Mark Dantonio's Michigan hatin' Chip Company, who cares?! Skip past the ad and enjoy the content anyway.
I think Space Coyote even drew the ire of Dear Leader for strongly insinuating he was a hypocrite for selling ad space to Xfinity

Unless you'd like to go to a subscription model (which I doubt anyone wants), Brian & Co. need to sell ad space.
now this.
Stop. Both names suck.
So the C, LG, LT, & TE all just watch that DE bust through and sack Hackenburg. Amazing

"They have by far the best running game in the Big Ten too"
Gotta say. It was tough to take the article seriously after that claim
New QB, new defensive scheme. It'll be a sluggish start I bet. 38-14

Hypothetical -1
Turning a fairly inoccuous statement taken live and blowing it way, way out of proportion.
