The NCAA would come down hard on Cleveland State if you did that

And their air raid has been them destroying mediocre defenses and struggling against Penn State

lol, "take away a scoring play and the score wouldn't have looked as good".  Thanks for that brilliant fucking insight.

10/02/2018 - 9:47pm It could be their worst…

It could be their worst performance, or it could be that they played nobody prior to PSU and looked better than they actually are because of it.

10/02/2018 - 9:36pm I have to wonder how OSU had…

I have to wonder how OSU had a post-game win expectancy of >50% against PSU, in a game that PSU statistically dominated.  Felt like OSU was lucky to pull that one out.

10/02/2018 - 4:01pm Even getting to average in…

Even getting to average in the Big Ten is a huge accomplishment.  Warinner has truly worked some magic.  We need to keep him for as long as possible.

10/02/2018 - 1:12pm Hopeless?  Stanford was…

Hopeless?  Stanford was hopeless when Harbaugh took them over.  Franklin didn't build anything at Vanderbilt

10/02/2018 - 10:35am Their OL and secondary have…

Their OL and secondary have been weak spots for years.  I don't expect they'll suddenly become strengths by the time our game comes around.  Doesn't mean that they won't play well above their heads when they play us, because they always do, but assuming we don't turn the ball over 5 times or muff a game ending punt we should win that one.

Who exactly is MSU missing?  Don't say LJ Scott because that dude is mediocre and their running game is ass even with him.

Good engineering department?  Sounds like a job for Alabama

Just take solace in the fact that you'd get to enjoy one or both getting absolutely earholed by Bama

We dropped all the way to 7th?  The horror!  Our season is over, may as well forfeit all remaining meaningful games

09/30/2018 - 1:06pm Yeah I watched OSU look like…

Yeah I watched OSU look like complete shit and PSU snatch defeat from the jaws of victory

09/29/2018 - 10:40pm They have a legitimately…

They have a legitimately good, top 25 defense that had 2 weeks to prepare for us.  In that context, putting up almost 400 yards (which would've easily surpassed 400 if not for the McKeon drop and egregious Higdon holding call) and almost 200 yards rushing is an encouraging performance.  Biggest thing IMO is our inability to defend slant routes, that must get cleaned up.

09/29/2018 - 8:49pm Yeah that's why we almost…

Yeah that's why we almost doubled them up in yardage

09/29/2018 - 8:34pm We put up nearly 400 yards…

We put up nearly 400 yards on a legitimately good defense.  Patterson was uncharacteristically inaccurate on some throws but stepped up in the big moments.  Pass protection was great.  Only complaint is they need to finish drives in the redzone.

This offense is slowly but surely becoming a good outfit.

Jay Wright I get.  You think Calipari is the 2nd best?  Better than K and Williams?

When you've lost 13 of the last 14 you take any advantage you can get.  Especially since OSU will have the men in the stripes on their side.

09/19/2018 - 9:56pm It seems like Michigan didn…

It seems like Michigan didn't really push that hard for him.  Also he's 6'4, not exactly ideal size for an OT so he might be slated for the inside in college which wouldn't make him a huge priority for us.  Either way, it seems like a situation where neither party was particularly interested.

So I can watch the highlight film now?  What a monster pickup

09/16/2018 - 11:43am Evans has done nothing to…

Evans has done nothing to deserve to get passed up.  Wilson has looked very good but Evans has that shiftiness to make people miss in tight spaces.  That will be incredibly valuable against the better defenses on our schedule.

09/16/2018 - 12:50am Eh, they blew out 2 teams…

Eh, they blew out 2 teams that went a combined 5-19 last year, and then looked pretty even with TCU save for a few crucial TCU mistakes.  OSU certainly isn't unbeatable.  Obviously we'll need to play much better but let's see where we're at when late November comes around.

The rest of the Big Ten has also looked like ass

09/12/2018 - 7:26pm As a receiver, no.  The guy…

As a receiver, no.  The guy gets open deep.  Last year he had no one to throw him the ball and freshmen receivers struggle in general.  Against ND, Shea had no time to throw him the ball.  He made a big impact against WMU and I expect he'll get better and better as the season goes along.

As a punt returner, yes.  He has made some big plays in that aspect but I think those are outweighed by the negatives.  I think it's time to take him out of that role.

I think Shea should stick around to play a season with his brother

It was so late that people probably didn't see how bad MSU looked

Sparty is bad this year.  We must beat them

09/08/2018 - 5:42pm I still don't think ND is…

I still don't think ND is that good, which is why that loss has really tempered expectations for me.  Anyway, I agree this win doesn't do much or tell us what we didn't already know.  Shea is legit, he's got a lot of weapons, defense is very good but probably not as good as expected before the season started.  OL can maul on the ground but Shea was still under too much duress given the opponent.

09/08/2018 - 3:27pm Shea is a baller.  If he can…

Shea is a baller.  If he can stay upright he can pick any defense apart.  Unfortunately the starting tackles struggled in pass pro against a bad defense.  Small sample size but the backup tackles looked much better and obviously have much higher upside.  Wonder if they'll continue to get reps so they can potentially start against the meat of the schedule.

09/06/2018 - 9:34pm Khaleke?

Khaleke?

09/06/2018 - 9:21pm Would anyone blame Patterson…

Would anyone blame Patterson for leaving given our OL situation?  It's frankly absurd that 1 position group has continued to derail season after season

09/04/2018 - 3:48pm But both MSU and PSU had…

But both MSU and PSU had their own questions going into the season, and those came to fruition in both of their near upsets.  I don't think there's really anything separating Michigan, MSU and PSU at the moment.

09/04/2018 - 2:58pm The silver lining is that…

The silver lining is that both MSU and PSU struggled against vastly inferior opponents.  If we're drawing any conclusions from the first week of the season, the Big Ten East doesn't look nearly as stacked as it was projected to be.  I think we can still win the division, but we're gonna need some of the younger guys to take over the tackle spots at some point for that to come to fruition.  We're gonna face better pass rushes than Notre Dame

Kelly is responsible for the death of a student.  That's at least on par if not worse than anything Dantonio and Urban have done.

Not sure why you felt the need to add that last caveat.  You almost sound like a 1 point road loss to the #11 team should make us drop from #14 to unranked

I'm not a believer in ND.  We have the better offense, defense, and coaching.  24-7 Michigan

08/25/2018 - 10:36am Herbie was making excuses…

Herbie was making excuses for him.  Basically saying that he's so myopic and laser-focused on football that he doesn't have any room in his brain for anything else (like, say, human decency).  Almost as laughable an excuse as his sudden "memory problems".

08/24/2018 - 11:17am OSU made sure not to release…

OSU made sure not to release the report until after the press conference, presumably to prevent the reporters from asking the hard hitting questions.

08/23/2018 - 3:06pm Good stuff, exactly how I…

Good stuff, exactly how I felt watching that presser yesterday.

Urban definitely displayed some sociopathic behavior yesterday.  Absolutely remorseless about the whole thing.  And the worst part is that OSU is the biggest enabler in all of this.  They enable all of Meyer's bullshit, which allowed Meyer to enable Smith's abusive behavior.  I'm still flabbergasted about the information that was released yesterday from the investigative report, and that that information resulted in merely a 3 game suspension (which is in reality a 1 game suspension considering he can work with the team starting Sept. 2nd, and which their president had to fight really hard to get any sort of punishment at all).  OSU simply doesn't give a shit, and that is both frightening and disturbing.
