But did he answer for what Durkin did at Maryland???

08/16/2018 - 9:58am Too late, I am confident. …

Too late, I am confident.  Maybe it's just me but I don't think ND will be that good this year.  They just reek of the classic Brian Kelly 8-5 team.

08/15/2018 - 10:10pm Yeah those 3 years make a…

Yeah those 3 years make a world of difference.  You Sparties are great with the mental gymnastics.

08/15/2018 - 6:54pm We lost our starting QB, an…

We lost our starting QB, an experienced signal caller.  How good would MSU have been if Lewerke got injured?

08/15/2018 - 5:18pm Interesting, because we…

Interesting, because we played a lot of young guys last year and managed to do a hell of a lot better than 3-9.

08/15/2018 - 3:39pm Winston is good but he still…

Winston is good but he still struggles with athletic PGs (of which I guess there aren't many in the Big Ten).  Langford is very meh, and Ward spends half the time on the bench.  Plus I haven't looked at the schedule but I'm guessing MSU's conference schedule won't be as laughably easy as it was this past year.  We'll see but I expect a significant step back for them.

MSU fans complain about how Michigan football is always overrated in the preseason.  Well, MSU basketball has reached that status.

Technically that is a majority

I hope we don't have more after this year.  Imagine what next year would be like if everyone minus the seniors returned.

Our offense was in the 100s last year.  I don't think we have any schematic strengths

08/14/2018 - 3:55pm I think Durkin took Mattison…

I think Durkin took Mattison's defense to another level, but I agree that he didn't do anything special as far as defensive coaching goes.  Brown is definitely a big upgrade as far as defensive coaching goes.  Where Durkin is missed the most is in recruiting.

Boubacar Cissoko had a pretty awesome name

08/14/2018 - 1:57am Shea is a lot more…

Shea is a lot more accomplished than Peters.  He's the higher ceiling, higher floor option.  Peters will get his shot to start when Patterson goes to the NFL.

08/13/2018 - 2:55pm I don't see any…

I don't see any justification for suspending him.  Either Urban continued to employ and covered for a known domestic abuser and he gets fired, or he did everything by the book and nothing happens to him.  There's no gray area.  A suspension would be a half measure, and as Mike Ehrmantraut taught us you never take a half measure.

Their defense is not on par with ours.  We will have a top 3 defense, and possibly the best in the country.

Clean program other than the dead students.

08/09/2018 - 8:35pm I mean, am I wrong?  I could…

I mean, am I wrong?  I could go to any number of message boards and find a strong majority of OSU fans in staunch support of Meyer.  So if the majority are not in support of him or are condemning his actions in some way, they sure aren't making that known.

08/09/2018 - 8:26pm 100 people representing the…

100 people representing the majority opinion of the fanbase

I don't remember ever having a "save Brendan Gibbons" rally

Don't act like it's just UM fans.  Everyone right now is looking down on the OSU fanbase as the scum that you are.

08/09/2018 - 7:35pm The disgusting thing is that…

The disgusting thing is that OSU fans don't give a shit about Smith, in fact most are happy that he's been fired.  They're just trying to convince people that what he did wasn't so bad now as a way of clearing Urban's name.  Truly despicable behavior from a fanbase that I thought could sink no lower.

08/09/2018 - 3:14pm After watching the "save…

After watching the "save Urban Meyer rally" I'm convinced of that fact.  That was the largest collection of inbred trailer trash this side of the Mason-Dixon line.

08/09/2018 - 2:15pm I dunno.  I want Meyer…

I dunno.  I want Meyer canned, bringing about the Greg Schiano era at OSU leading to a decade plus of 7 and 8 win seasons while we embark on a period of previously unseen success with Jim Harbaugh at the helm.  OSU needs to go through a period like what we just went through.

08/09/2018 - 1:50pm Meyer's system relies on a…

Meyer's system relies on a running QB.  He tried going pro style with John Brantley and it led to an 8-5 season, his last at Florida.  While he caught lightning in a bottle with Cardale in the playoffs, the following year teams adjusted and OSU's offense disappointed in 2015 until Barrett took the reins again.  So yeah, I'd rather face a guy who is less of a threat to run when it comes to facing an Urban Meyer team.

They're not better than Wisconsin

OSU fans are hypocrites?  No way

Ironic coming from the guy who started a thread for the sole purpose of calling me out

Right, because not being punished for his behavior by his superiors in no way contributed to his continued exhibition of said behavior.

08/04/2018 - 4:24pm Maybe because Grant Perry…

Maybe because Grant Perry drunkenly grabbed a girl's ass while in line at Rick's.  That's a bit different from what Urban, Gibbons and Lewan did.

08/03/2018 - 8:35pm You would think so.  But if…

You would think so.  But if there's one thing we've learned it's that Meyer is very good at lying and manipulating.

08/03/2018 - 7:15pm That's a pretty pathetic…

That's a pretty pathetic excuse.  The truth is the world found out about it in 2018 so Meyer's hand was forced.

08/03/2018 - 7:12pm He's part of that cult of…

He's part of that cult of trailer trash that derives the entirety of its self worth from the accomplishments of a football team.  They'll protect those who give them that self worth at all costs.

08/02/2018 - 9:40pm All of those pale in…

All of those pale in comparison to the disgusting shit that has been revealed about PSU, OSU and MSU in the past decade

08/02/2018 - 7:41pm A 3-4 game suspension makes…

A 3-4 game suspension makes no sense.  Either he's guilty and he's fired or he's innocent and nothing happens.

No, but its nice to hear one prominent media guy not spewing the same old tired narratives

I'll expand it a little more and say Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Galaxy, The Last of Us, and Sonic the Hedgehog 2 as my favorite of the 2D era

07/28/2018 - 6:57pm Yes, he inherited a…

Yes, he inherited a situation much worse than Meyer.  Meyer basically took over for Tressel, Harbaugh has had to rebuild the mess created by two of the worst coaching tenures in program history.  They're not comparable.  After 3 seasons at MSU Dantonio was 22-17, after 3 seasons at PSU Franklin was 25-15, Harbaugh is 28-11 after 3 seasons.  Dantonio didn't win his 1st Big Ten title until year 4 and....gasp.....didn't finish above 3rd his first 3 years.  Franklin's Big Ten title team lost by 40 to Michigan.  We'll see what year 4 holds in store for Harbaugh but yes, outside of Meyer who walked into a great situation, Harbaugh is doing no worse of a job than anyone else.

07/28/2018 - 6:46pm Wisconsin will be the best…

Wisconsin will be the best game of the 3, but seeing our defense tee off on that tool McSorley would be fun too.

07/28/2018 - 5:59pm In 2014 we went 5-7 with a…

In 2014 we went 5-7 with a shutout loss to Notre Dame, losses to both Rutgers and Maryland, and a literal fistbump celebration after finally scoring a TD against MSU......to bring the deficit down to 24.  2 years later we were literally an inch and ref screwjob from winning the division and playing for a Big Ten title and playoff spot.  He turned us around almost instantly, and if Hoke/Borges/Nussmeier weren't completely clueless on the offensive side of the ball the results the past 2 years would've had no one complaining.

He's got us right on the cusp of greatness, and this is the year I think he achieves it.  Either way, he deserves as much time as he needs.  Clemson is a perfect example of what happens when you're patient and trust the process, hopefully Michigan follows suit.

07/28/2018 - 5:43pm I mean, both of OSU's TDs in…

I mean, both of OSU's TDs in that game came as a result of our offense, so I don't blame Harbaugh for turtling up in the 4th and trying to rely on the defense to bring it home

You think the defense will eventually regress?  Based on what?

Can we get Daxton to say "fuck Michigan" on camera?

07/27/2018 - 3:05pm No question he was bad…

No question he was bad against Iowa.  I definitely think the injury played a big factor in his performance against OSU.  Not saying he was great in 2016 but he was good enough to win the Big Ten if he had stayed healthy.

07/27/2018 - 2:35pm I don't know if it was…

I don't know if it was missing 2 years ago.  Speight may not be the most talented QB in the world but he was still one of the best QBs in the conference.  If he doesn't get injured we beat OSU and go to the Big Ten championship game.  Last year it was definitely the difference between 8-4 and 11-1.

Obviously Patterson is a huge upgrade, but the line still needs to keep him upright.  It really comes down to the tackles for us, because QB should be a definite positive if Patterson can stay healthy.

Lewis was probably a 1st rounder before the domestic violence questions came to light

07/25/2018 - 12:29pm We also put up 45 on…

We also put up 45 on Colorado and 32 on Florida State.  We would have put up 23 on Wisconsin if not for 3 missed field goals that Kenny Allen usually makes.  And Speight's shoulder injury clearly impacted the offensive output against OSU.  So really, the only time the offense struggled big time was against Iowa, and weird shit happens at Kinnick (like Iowa putting up 55 against OSU).
