Ohio State fans are terrified.

Submitted by TheTeam16 on

I am currently sitting and enjoying some wings at a bar in extreme proximity to the shoe/OSU campus. The fear is palpable. The decent amount of buckeye fans here are not speaking of their win today, nor how their offense looked better with their back up in. No, tonight the talk about town and in this bar at this moment is directed towards THE MICHIGAN WOLVERINES.

Just moments ago, a large and rather drunk man yelled at everyone to shut up and watch the highlights of our win today when they came on the TV at halftime of one of the games tonight. He then proceeded to scream (with tears in his eyes) at every other OSU fan in the bar...

"This is what you dumb asses wanted, this is what all of you idiots wanted. You wanted a scum team that was competitive. You wanted them to get Jim Harbaugh to make the series relevant again. Well congratulations, your fantasy has become reality. When they kick our ass up and down the field in Ann Arbor this year, just remember what the hell it was you wished for."

The silence after his diatribe was music to my ears, as these helpless fans watched in anguish the fate of Northwestern.

It has finally hit a good majority of the swine, Michigan is no longer in the under coached undermanned team of recent memory. This team is for real and this coaching staff is the best in America.

It is indeed a beautiful picture, my fellow Wolverines.

I think Harbaugh has changed the tide on the rivalry. Hell OSU fans crying over Michigan highlights? Never in a million years I would have thought that. Fear in Columbus is a good start.

They've lost 3 games in the last 3.5 years. They have top-notch talent and a top-notch coach.  S

Sure they might be concerned with how they've played in a few games this year but, like you say, they have another month to fix their problems and improve.

A good program worries about its own team instead of worrying about opponents. That's exactly what JH has these guys doing, i.e. focusing on getting better every week.

Urban Meyer is a guy who has won multiple national titles with multiple teams.  He has some of the best talent in the country on his squad.

Forget the records and the past games when these 2 teams play it will be a deathmatch cage fight.  They will not be punked and they will make our guys to play the best game of their lives if they want the win.

Believe me I think JH & staff vs anyone is pretty much unfair as hell.  But Urban Meyer is absolutely fuckin elite.  He and Saban have won enough games and championships that we need to view them as predators in the same realm of Jim Harbaugh.

of the end for the Urbz! Harbaugh may become his true nemeses and will lead to increase stress for the Urbz. Remember, Urbz had to retire due to stress at UF, since the pressure of not always winning got to him and he feted that he could never beat St. Nick Saban!

but I can't. I call BS because every osu fan I know truly wishes UM would just quit football. I grew up in Ohio, btw. I have TONS of osu friends. They aren't like us even it comes to the rivalry. They don't respect us but truly would like to see us not even exist. Not in the joking sense but a genuine, irrational, crazy lack of truly loving CFB itself. Ok, fine, it may have happened but it reads fake as f*** when I imagine half of my old HS in that bar. They wouldn't care about UM, be talking about UM or have one of them boss up on everyone in a bar (with tears in his eyes) and not get his ass beat by the crowd of cooler pooper fans that 99% of osu fans are. I hope it happened (!) but I just can't imagine it. Sorry lol

But the sentiments ring true.  I recall years of beating down good John Cooper-coached OSU teams and decades of beating Sparty but I don't ever recall thinking it would be a good thingt if they improved so that we would look better or that the rivalry would be more inspired.

Ran into a Buckeye on the golf course. Not concerned for this year's game, I felt, but noted an overall shift could come later. Then again, an Ohio dude you find at Tilden in Berkeley is not your average Buck I don't think.

as I said above. It just sounds like a scene someone really wishes would happen. A bar full of fans that haven't lost a game in almost forever all expressing "fear". Then one lone fan - with tears in his eyes - screams at them all and the entire place falls into a shamed silence. Yet, he didn't yell at them to call them puss-y but to give them a "you got what you asked for" lashing when exactly zero of the 50+ osu fans in friends with wouldn't do anything like any if those people. I'm sorry but I don't buy it. I can't prove it didn't happen but I don't believe it. I don't really care except to say that it's crazy to start a thread on such a lie, if a lie. A legitimate, childlike level of detachment if a lie. If true? LOL. Yet, it reads 100% bullshit.

The quality of football that Harbaugh has brought to Ann Arbor has allowed me the luxury of not giving a $hit as to whether Ohio sees the knockout punch to the grill coming or not.

Fear us. Don't fear us.

It's all the same.

The hurt is coming, at long last.

Thinks is hilarious that UM fans think they are back because they were able to skunk NW. It's telling of just how far you have fallen. But one thing nobody that's a fan of OSU feels is terrified of the funking wolverines. Haven't been for a decade. 45-3 Unbeaten for 3 years in conference play Reigning Nat'L Champions Absolutely have dominated YOU!

For the first time in the last four years, I will have hope we can win.

I will not be announcing our arrival on the same level as OSU until we actually win one, though.

While I enjoy watching Ohio State fans piss their pant's over this year's Michigan team. The game isn't won yet. They will come into the Big House, and give our team everything they've got.
