Franz had a great game and was deadly from three (5/7). He had 19 points and 4 rebounds for Germany. It was a back and forth affair with Greece leading 61-57 at halftime after a half court buzzer beater. Germany then came out in the second half and went on a 20-1 run and pretty much sealed them game right there. Giannis was his regular dominate self but was ejected early in the 4th for picking up a second unsportsmanlike foul.
Germany plays Spain in the semifinals on Friday at 2:30 pm. The games are streamed on ESPN+ if you have that or you can look for an alternate stream online.
84-3 M, I would say lower but Hawaii is currently averaging 4 turnovers (!!) a game and this is a defense that wants to get the ball. Add to that the fact they have no hope of stopping our run game so late game, all run drives with the back ups will probably still result in scores more often than not. I'd say 10 offensive touchdowns and 2 defensive scores and Hawaii finds a way to get into FG range late to prevent the shutout.
Think we can get Ohio down in Columbus this year, I have no fear of that team. Alabama and Georgia look on a different level from everybody else though. Hopefully between the ACC, Pac-12 and Big 12 two teams can show enough where you can't put 2 SEC team in the playoff but I'm not going to hold my breath. The Pac-12 and ACC look TERRIBLE this year and the Big 12 doesn't look much better.

Don’t know why people continue to credit the assistant coaches for the out of timeout zones when that’s an Erik Spoelstra special. Miami plays zone a fair amount, the ECF against Boston turned last year because of a tweak to Miami’s zone defense that Boston couldn’t solve.
My overall National Title philosophy is 2 loss teams shouldn’t get a shot at the National Title. So I have no problem with Alabama getting in over OSU or USC last year and no problem with OSU jumping PSU in 2016, so I think I might be less affected by SEC bias conspiracies than most.
As far as this is year is concerned, Alabama is the best team in the country by any metric, and it’s not that close. The Vegas line is projected at -13.5 Bama and I think that’s about right. I don’t want to just make the Playoff, I want to win the whole damn thing. If Alabama makes the playoff and Tua is reasonably healthy, no one is beating them. So I’m going to be rooting against Alabama, if the committee puts the in even if they lose the SEC then fine, beating up on Wazzu in the Rose Bowl is not the worst fate. But I don’t think they will. We’re good enough to kick the crap out of everyone left on our schedule and that includes Ohio State. That’d be 12 wins in a row, all of which were beat downs except a blip @NW. I don’t think the committee can justify leaving us out of the Playoff if that happens.
Just looked up the ‘15 class to see who might not be brought back and got a little sad to see Tyrone Wheatley Jr.’s name. Can you imagine the right side of this line with a version of TWJ that could block with Bredeson pulling around on a power play?

He’s a 5 Star because of his measurables, not his current level of play. Right now he could use about 35 lbs on his frame and he’s pretty raw technique wise. Think of him more as a 5 Star version of Taco Charlton.
There is no possible way the committee is going to put a 1 loss Alabama in who didn’t even win its own division over any 1 loss Conference Champ. If we win out we’re in. Our only competition right now is Oklahoma and I don’t think they can pass us with that they have left on their schedule, especially if we beat a 10-2 Iowa in Indianapolis. Last year OSU and USC had two losses, it doesn’t look like that’s going to be the case this year. I don’t know why people make this so complicated.
Based on the Penn State game, I think if we can get some movement on their DTs with double teams Higdon can get some yards against these guys. They didn’t tackle very well in space and while Higdon is not at Sanders’ level of “juke you out of your shoes” I think he can break a few tackles (wrapping up did not look like their strong suit). I think if Sanders gets 8-10 more carries PSU wins that game. On the goal line late it felt like it should have been 4 IZ Reads and Sanders/McSorley dancing in the end zone. Definitely don’t get the 3rd down fade against a 6’3” corner. The only time they stopped Sanders was when MSU’s DTs won double teams and allowed LBs to fly in untouched. If that didn’t happen it was at least 4 yards. PSU is the best rushing offense they’ve faced (#4 S&P+) and we’ll be the second (#12 S&P+). I’m thinking a steady 25 carries 110+ for Higdon and even more if he breaks a long one like Sanders did.

Jim Harbaugh, and he has the ability to surpass even him and be the best QB in program history
