But building a program that wins national championships in the age of a Saban led Alabama sure as hell does.

12/04/2018 - 11:41am I can't really get behind…

I can't really get behind the comparison you are making...ability to act/sing is pretty qualitative.

On the other hand, winning football games/championships is extremely quantifiable.

But, I understand the point you were trying to make.

12/04/2018 - 10:21am Can you say a coach has…

Can you say a coach has elite abilities before they take their team to an elite level? Jim has had plenty of opportunity to get to a championship...had great teams at Stanford, this year, 2016...evidence has to matter.

Prove to me that you're elite Jimbo.

12/04/2018 - 9:58am Can you really be elite…

Can you really be elite without winning a championship? Elite is synonymous with the cream of the cream, the very top, the most can you be at that level when you haven't obtained the highest honor...a championship?

Sorry, I respectfully disagree with your notion. Saban, Dabo, Meyer...those are elite cfb coaches (I'm going to wash my mouth out now). Jim is right there below them in my eyes. I want more than anything for him to change my feelings about the matter.

12/04/2018 - 9:41am I'd maybe hold it with the…

I'd maybe hold it with the elite status, hasn't won anything at any level really...I would go with great for now...

That was my first thought as well...bullet dodged...

12/04/2018 - 9:30am Guy is a slimeball. Still,…

Guy is a slimeball. Still, pretty pathetic we cheer about this in regards to the football aspect...shows how badly this program is owned by OSU.

12/03/2018 - 4:48pm What do we get if we win…

What do we get if we win other than the ability to say we beat another average Florida team...

I'd take one victory over Ohio State if it meant losing bowl games for the next 5 years.

12/02/2018 - 11:39am The Cincy campus is not bad…

The Cincy campus is not bad at all, when is the last time you were there? OTR is coming back in a big way, and the campus itself is well kept and modern.

12/01/2018 - 1:28pm Y'all do realize that the…

Y'all do realize that the planets always align for osu, right? If you're one of the poor souls thinking that everything will happen the way it should today and keep osu out of the playoff...well...I'm sorry...

11/21/2018 - 9:13am I second this. Quite a vast…

I second this. Quite a vast difference between the two fans bases in regards to respect of other. I'm sure there are less than quality Michigan fans that exist, however the sheer number of the less than quality osu fans is just astounding.

I live in the Columbus suburbs, and during the year I may get jibs and jabs here and there about my Michigan window decal, or the M flag outside my house.

Once game week hits, it is insufferable. The majority all mutate into their cooler pooping/hive mind/football cult alternate egos.

05/02/2018 - 1:10pm Welp

No more support from this Eagle Scout for the BSA. Total bowing to the mainstream man, disgusting. God forbid we have a group where young men can associate with young men, and vice vera with the Girl Scouts. I'm so sick of the political bullshit in this country seeping into everything we encounter in life.

12/06/2017 - 1:05pm Hard TIme

I just have a super hard time buying that Shea is transferring anywhere, and not starting immediately. I hope it is a true open competition, and best man wins...I just dont know if I can wrap my mind around it.

Im not saying that Harbaugh wont give all the QBs a shot, but this season made me lose a little faith when he was playing JOK in front of ANYONE on the roster. I'm sure it will all work out though, I am excited to have NFL quality talent at the QB position for the first time since Carr left (minus Ruddock).

12/06/2017 - 2:35am Offense Under Shea
I have just finished watching Shea's first game against Texas AM 2016. Do you believe that if in fact Shea chooses Michigan that the offense will be formed around his skill set, instead of the more traditional pro offense we have run under Harbaugh?
From watching the game, he seems to be very competent, and dangerous running the zone read. I did not however see him take a single snap under center the entire game. I know ZR has not be a staple in the Harbaugh offenses of the past, though it has been intermixed occasionally. I just don't want to see Shea transfer in, and be hampered by the type of offense we have traditionally run under Harbaugh and Co.
I am not saying I do not trust the coaches to conform the system to Shea's strengths, I am just wondering what people think he has been told the offense would be like...assuming he wins the starting job.
12/04/2017 - 2:55pm Wesson Brothers

We all attended the same high school, Westerville South. Followed the boys their whole career, Kaleb is already a beast at the collegiate level. Can't help but to root for them, yet hope they lose!

Wish Beilein could make some noise at South on the recruiting trail. Coach Calo has one of the best programs in the state of Ohio, and consistently puts out D1 talent.

Go Blue!

12/04/2017 - 2:47pm I'm There

Making the long trek from Westerville ;)

12/02/2017 - 7:33pm 2 years

This is where the Dawgs are, makes me sick. Fucking annoying as hell we cant have half of this success.

11/20/2017 - 4:55pm As a UM fan in Suburban Columbus...

Lemme tell you, there is going to be A LOT of red on Saturday :(

11/18/2017 - 7:40pm I would guess

Somehwere between -20 and -30, and I might still take that bet unfortunately...

11/15/2017 - 2:33am Hmmmm

You do realize that WR is one of the hardest positions to transition from HS in to college ball, right?

When DPJ was in HS, like all the other 4/5 star receivers, all he had to do was shuffle his feet for a solid 3 seconds off the line and then sprint past the conerback...boom TD. He has never been shown how to properly run a NFL style route tree, or read defenses on option routes, etc. These things come with time, its not as simple as you think.

Once he and the other receivers start to ingrain these techniques, we will have one hell of a WR group.

11/15/2017 - 2:27am I think

I think that the offensive brain trust has been holding things back  for the past few weeks just for these two games to be honest. We have literally ran plays out of a total of 4 formations after we went up big on Rutgers...

I hope I am right, we will need a few plays breaking big to win this game.

11/12/2017 - 1:58pm Look

Look at Meyer's record after his team loses games they should't/are's damn near flawless. He already took MSU to the woodshed, illinois will have train run on them for 60 minutes this saturday. He will do everything he can to hang 50+ on every team they play from here on out, better believe that.

If our D can get to JT and just SLOW DOWN dobbins and weber, we have a chance. Easier said than done.

11/12/2017 - 1:36pm Yeah

Pretty much this unfortunately...

11/12/2017 - 1:34pm UM Unis

When you have the best uniform in sport, you shouldn't ever change them.

11/12/2017 - 1:33pm Worried

I want to beat them more than I want to breathe sometimes. I have this horrible feeling this game will look an awful lot like the 2015 game, hope I am wrong. They still have everything to play for, and Meyer will have them juiced.

10/22/2017 - 12:43am Like rooting for the Browns

There's always next year.

10/22/2017 - 12:40am No

YOU are the stereotype. I am realistic this program is/has been mediocre for more than a decade. I choose not to make excuses for it, and point out the reality of the situation.

You on the other hand, and people like you live in fantasy world where people still care that we lead the all time series with OSU, or have the best winning percentage in history.

Who the fuck cares.

10/22/2017 - 12:11am Excuses

Keep making excuses, and keep accepting the mediocrity that is this program.

10/21/2017 - 11:44pm Talking Sense

Stop trying to talk sense to them. They want to keep making excuses for this coaching staff and the shit product they field, let them.

Excuses are for people who accept mediocrity.

10/21/2017 - 11:41pm Because

We are complacent with mediocrity. We are not even is the same universe as OSU, Bama, or even MSU...coaching and mostly talent wise. If you don't think this season is going to take a toll on recruiting, get your head scanned.

I didn't see it take Urban 3 years to install and offense at OSU, no they were winning a NC. Our programs are apples and oranges, not even comparable from a coaching standpoint. It is extremely depressing. But just keep making excuses, and be another second tier power 5 team for the next decade too.

I love this University, and I love this football program, but I am not renewing my seat license. It isn't worth my time, my money, or my emothional investment at this time, and frankly hasn't been for more than a decade.

10/15/2017 - 4:12pm Hope

Watching this gives me hope for the rest of the season in regards to the OL. Sure its Indiana, but there were some DAMN good blocks made in this game. The seal block by JBB on the long run was a huge step in the right direction. If only our passing game was progressing like this. Fun to watch those holes being created by the OL.

09/10/2017 - 6:22pm Wrong

If you dont think we are a part of the "Team" then find another school to root for. We are for one thing, the success of Michigan football. If you don't think 110,000 people cheering instead of booing helps our team, find a new school to root for. You may not run the ball, kick a punt, or even pour the players water, but we all are a part of Michigan. We are all a team.

09/10/2017 - 11:30am Remember

"We're gonna believe in each other, we're not gonna criticize each other, we're not gonna talk about each other, we're gonna encourage each other. And when we play as a team, when the old season is over, you and I know, it's gonna be Michigan again, Michigan."

Take this to heart, all you individuals who think it is OK to boo The Team.

09/10/2017 - 11:28am So...

Instead of encouraging our kids when they are struggling, you demean them and beat them down?

Obviously you have never played sports in any cometitive setting, because you BUILD EACH OTHER UP, YOU ENCOURAGE EACH OTHER when you are struggling. Not demean further.

09/09/2017 - 11:22pm Hmmmm

I'm sure all the recruits that attended the game today were really impressed with our fans booing when the O was struggling...I'm sure that makes them want to come here and play.

Grow Up.

05/17/2017 - 3:02pm Dream Job

I hold people on the line between life and death while they undergo controlled trauma...

03/12/2017 - 5:02pm fire

12/03/2016 - 3:01pm The worst of it

Is that osu will win the national championship. Because that's all they ever experience, success. It makes me physically sick.

10/23/2016 - 10:15am The Game

It's now their national championship. Their loss to psu did nothing to help us.

10/10/2016 - 6:25pm This defense

Has to win us the Ohio State game, then they will truly be legendary.

10/08/2016 - 6:49pm D Line

Our front is going to feast on OSU if something doesn't change by November.

10/08/2016 - 1:02pm Talent

Talent > experience in my opinion. Confidence is 80% of success at this level of football. Talent breeds confidence. I really wasn't surprised they beat them the way they did with a young team.

I was surprised that oklahoma couldnt cover noah brown to save their life, or stop the run consistently. OSU wasn't even running any sophisticated offensive plays 3/4 of the time. 3 of their touchdows were basic chuck it up jump balls.

If they try that against UM, assuming we stay healthy, I like our chances is what I am trying to say I suppose.

10/08/2016 - 12:41pm oklahoma...

I am not going to go so far as to say that ohio state is mediocre...but after watching oklahoma play the past few weeks, their defense is just garbage.

I think Michigan would have stoned oklahoma more, and maybe have put up just as many points as osu. Or close to it.

09/15/2016 - 3:42pm 31-17 Wolverines

31-17 Wolverines!!! GO BLUE!

06/07/2016 - 9:15pm My question is...

What the hell kind of doctoral program allows take home testing...truly tOSU'ish

04/28/2016 - 9:32pm Making me sick

All the recruiting help this is giving to OSU...BLEH

03/24/2016 - 3:58pm IB

Best decision I ever made.

03/01/2016 - 3:14pm please

Don't talk shit til we actually beat them, and even's probably not ok due to recent record. I want this team quiet and hungry.

02/14/2016 - 7:04pm yup

Live ten minutes away now...fml.

Matta may be done in Cbus

11/19/2015 - 12:39am takotsubo

Could be...

85% of cases are set in motion by emotional or physical stress. I suppose for most a spouse dying would qualify.

Fear from public speaking is another stress factor I have seen induce TCM.

More common is older women than men, I wonder who passed first?
