nooooooo
December 18th, 2018 at 8:57 AM ^
And watch their dline coach bolt for Maryland right after he signs.
December 18th, 2018 at 9:03 AM ^
Thanks a lot Trader Jack. Take your negative bullshit elsewhere.

I'm telling y'all that OSU game is going to have lasting effects on this program.
Great job getting the Defense ready for crossing routes Don.
December 18th, 2018 at 9:22 AM ^
Short memories in the world of college football are the norm. Recruits judge things year to year. If we play well next year, AND beat OSU that's all recruits will remember. This year's game has hurt with a couple of recruits that we were competing with OSU and Alabama for, but that's a rarity.
Last year's 8-5 record hurt the '18 class more than The Game has hurt this year's class. We were in the 20's last year, but we have a top ten class this year... despite the bad loss.
December 18th, 2018 at 9:24 AM ^
Hard to beat OSU without players.
December 18th, 2018 at 9:51 AM ^
Believe it or not but it's been said that less talented teams are still able to beat more talented teams in something one might call an 'upset'
December 18th, 2018 at 10:17 AM ^
What is this "upset" that you speak of?
December 18th, 2018 at 2:30 PM ^
I'll point you to Purdue, masters of the "upset".
December 18th, 2018 at 10:31 AM ^
Michigan needs to start recruiting 5 stars like Iowa and Purdue to have any chance in beating OSU more than once a presidency. I agree brotha!
December 18th, 2018 at 9:32 AM ^
Michigan isn't beating OSU next year. C'mon.
December 18th, 2018 at 10:30 AM ^
2019 is kind of the last chance to make the leap in the Harbaugh era. And what makes me wary is that to do so, we will have to see Michigan's offense play like they never really have in the Harbaugh era as they likely won't have as good of a defense to back them up.
QB: Patterson (though if you told me Patterson leaves and Haskins stays, I'd probably just shrug and never watch Michigan football again).
RB: Evans, Turner, Charbonnet
FB: Mason
TE: McKeon, Gentry, Eubanks
WR: DPJ, Collins, Black, Martin, Bell
OL: Runyan, Bredeson, Ruiz, Onwenu, Stueber/Mayfield
That's an incredibly high level of talent. There's a favorable schedule. The Buckeyes have a new coach and The Game is at home.
Now or never.
December 18th, 2018 at 9:07 AM ^
So their average recruit rating (.92) will get even better for their small but very very elite class.
December 18th, 2018 at 1:39 PM ^
Actually, this is an off year in recruiting for OSU and it was all based on the Urban Crier issues and possible recruits staying their distance and waiting to see what happens. That said, OSU is OSU and will always recruit well as we should also.
December 18th, 2018 at 9:07 AM ^
Nobody blows it for top prospects quite like this football program.
Everyone was saying do more say less all offseason and was ridiculed by the M beat.
Look what happened. Guarantees and talk about how it’s different result in the same old bullshit.
Sad.
December 18th, 2018 at 9:09 AM ^
As Gomer Pyle would say: "Surprise, Surprise SURPRISE!"
December 18th, 2018 at 9:50 AM ^
Best of luck to you and yours.
December 18th, 2018 at 9:11 AM ^
Oh well. I don't much worry about the defense. The coaches have exhibited their ability to coach and develop the players on the roster. Aside from the '17 Penn St and '18 OSU anomalies, the defense has performed admirably without across the board 'elite' recruits.
We are stockpiled with edge rushers, anyway. Harrison was a luxury, not necessarily a need. He would have been a nice luxury to have, but not having him in the class is in no way a disaster.
December 18th, 2018 at 9:19 AM ^
We need to start beating Ohio State head to head for more top 100 talent. We've had some wins, but in order to make up the talent gap that was evident on the field last month we need to start winning these battles ore than they do.
But we are fine at edge rusher, need more DTs IMO.
December 18th, 2018 at 9:15 AM ^
I hate to say I told you so, and I know it was looking good for a while, but I said all along we would make a good run on him, say all the right things, etc. but it would still eventually end with him signing with OSU. Kids that highly ranked in heart of OH don't come to UM...never had, never will.
December 18th, 2018 at 9:24 AM ^
Desmond Howard, Charles Woodson, Trevor Keegan, etc. You don't know your history, or current events.
December 18th, 2018 at 9:28 AM ^
December 18th, 2018 at 9:37 AM ^
Illinois, which is also Not Ohio.
December 18th, 2018 at 10:26 AM ^
Thank you for elaborating my point. We have signed highly ranked kids from OH, but not from what I referenced as "the heart of OH", which is where Columbus is and where Harrison is from. Most of the guys we sign are from Northern OH, near Toledo or even Cleveland. Woodson was from Freemont, which is closer to Ann Arbor than Columbus. Howard is an interesting one that I have looked into before with no avail. He was in the class of 1988 and I can't find any recruiting information on him. He was obviously a great player and was from Cleveland, but I don't know what he was ranked as a HS recruit, do you? Based simply on his size, or lack thereof, I doubt he was a 5-star recruit. Keegan, as others have said is from Illinois.
Just a recommendation, if you're going to be less than nice, I'd recommend you at least be correct. I wouldn't tell people "you don't know..." when you are not correct, or really at all. It's better to just be nice in a discussion :)
December 18th, 2018 at 5:26 PM ^
We were also thumping OSU during that time period which made it easier to recruit the "elite" Ohio players. Now we're the ones getting thumped.
December 18th, 2018 at 9:17 AM ^
Ryan Day already bending Harbaugh over just like Meyer. Harbaugh is such a pussy
December 18th, 2018 at 9:28 AM ^
Yawn. Obvious troll.
Remember when you said this?
"We will not be 10-1 going into Columbus unless magically we get 2 functioning tackles, a better play caller, 2 new safeties, and the teams who have a defense with a pulse will have to regress. If we are 10-1 going into Columbus I'll eat a fucking tide pod"
Please follow through on that promise.
December 18th, 2018 at 10:31 AM ^
Oh man. Such a shame this is buried on page 3. Popcorn.gif
December 18th, 2018 at 9:20 AM ^
So strange that a kid that definitely keeps things close to his chest waits this long to sign with his hometown team. This kids head seems to definitely be spinning as to where he wants to go.
Lets' hope Sam is trying a different method and doing some reverse psychology.
I will however be glad when this recruitment is over.
December 18th, 2018 at 9:43 AM ^
He was just f-ing with UM and PSU - a show put on at the request of the OSU coaching staff. Kid was never going anywhere other than OSU.
December 18th, 2018 at 9:22 AM ^
Not really too worried about this. Let's get Cornelius Johnson and I'll be more than thrilled with this class.
I'm so much more mellowed out about Michigan football since I've gotten into my 30s. Seriously, this is so pointless to get worked up about. People are literally losing their minds over this shit. Settle down and get some perspective.
December 18th, 2018 at 10:21 AM ^
What are they going to do with another good outside wide receiver they will barely throw to each game?
December 18th, 2018 at 10:33 AM ^
What are they going to do with this 5-star DE when the last one they had failed to meet, or even approach expectations as a pass rusher?!
Let's just stop recruiting at all since we lost to OSU...as a matter of fact let's just scuttle the whole program.
December 18th, 2018 at 9:22 AM ^
Oh well.
December 18th, 2018 at 9:27 AM ^
That ends the chances on both Zach and Dax so time to move on.
December 18th, 2018 at 9:29 AM ^
Well, that sucks for us, but while it hurts to lose to OSU, I can't get bugged over a kid who wants to go elsewhere.
For me college success depends alot on chemistry with the University. And if he grew up with lots of family in and around Ohio that's going to be a very hard pull.
Other than when he plays Michigan, I wish him well.
December 18th, 2018 at 9:29 AM ^
Well at least it's over. Adults on Michigan social media may rend their garments luxuriously.
This isn't quite the class we'd hoped. It's excellent, no doubt. It can beat Ohio State (assuming the coaching can match it, which was the case in 2016 and 2017 and emphatically not in 2015 and 2018) maybe 3/4 out of 10 times. It's a great step. But it's not at OSU/Alabama levels. Almost was, Hill and Harrison would have gotten Michigan there.
Just like the team overall: very good and very close, but hasn't taken the last step.
December 18th, 2018 at 9:32 AM ^
Zach, would've been great to root for you in Maize and blue, but it's best for everyone involved that the Urban Decay has ended.
That trade off is worth it IMO.
That being said ....come on Zach ....GOONIE GOO GOO!
Be part of the goonsquad19!
December 18th, 2018 at 9:41 AM ^
What the fuck does goonie goo goo mean Gus?
December 18th, 2018 at 10:21 AM ^
Huh??
December 18th, 2018 at 10:31 AM ^
What, you don't speak Big foot?
It means" #goonsquad19 catches fish!"
GOONIE GOO GOO muther fucker!
December 18th, 2018 at 11:23 AM ^
I read that in Eddie Murphy's dad's voice. It kills me every time I see him impersonate his dad in Delirious and Raw.
December 18th, 2018 at 9:33 AM ^
So when we beat them in the Big House, I guess Harrison will take alot of flak from our fans...
December 18th, 2018 at 9:37 AM ^
I doubt Harrison will still be in school when that happens
December 18th, 2018 at 11:36 AM ^
His kids might.....or Grandkids
December 18th, 2018 at 9:33 AM ^
Well all we can hope is that Larry Johnson leaves for Maryland and they can’t develop Dlinemen anymore. He was always going to be a bit of a project with a very high ceiling.
