I think you're on to something. I'd wager 75% of Michigan students and faculty don't give a shit about any of the athletics. Maybe even a worse % of the 120k residents in AA. Throw in crap weather, a location that's not that walkable from downtown, and a $80 lower bowl ticket to see NW (what i paid last season) and you have a lot of factors to correct.

07/15/2018 - 11:41am Worst part about his…

Worst part about his decision is Simpson devastating his game for 2 years in the head to head.

It's a bummer, no doubt. But turn up the heat now on Rocket Watts. He might be a better fit than Carton for Michigan anyway. Can play either guard spot.

06/30/2018 - 12:59pm I love the emphasis on the…

I love the emphasis on the DL this cycle but it does seem were a little heavy on DE's. Does the staff think Hinton may be able to move inside?

06/28/2018 - 7:57pm Interview whoever you want,…

Interview whoever you want, but maybe just keep it off the Michigan "Sports" blog when it has no relevance. I heard YouTube is great.

06/15/2018 - 12:36pm Finished 2nd at the Honda I…

Finished 2nd at the Honda I believe. And if Tiger is done does that mean Rory and Jordan are too? They're playing just as bad this week, and worse than Tiger over the last few months.

06/14/2018 - 12:11pm MSU is absolutely a must win…

MSU is absolutely a must win game. However, in your scenario Mich would beat MSU and OSU but lose games like PSU, WISC, and ND. Would feel like a major missed opportunity of a season considering those 2 wins but 2 home losses. Not sure it gets the program to where we want.

06/14/2018 - 11:23am So what's the fan reaction…

So what's the fan reaction if they're 9-3 and 3rd place in the East again? Good enough? Failure in my eyes, this team needs 11 to fend off the dogs.

06/14/2018 - 11:07am Rickie had always been my…

Rickie had always been my guy too, wanted him to win a major so bad. However, he's engaged now so I don't think we'll see him in the winners circle anytime soon. Look what has happened to Spieth since his engagement, not the same player. I think finding love and happiness is great, the older guys on tour can balance the time better and commit. These youngsters though cant focus or put enough time on the course to compete with engagement parties and wedding to worry about.

06/13/2018 - 2:51pm Wasn't this basically a rule…

Wasn't this basically a rule already? But just now you can play in any 4 games as opposed to the 1st 4 games it used to be? Is this more so the schools don't have to apply to the NCAA and get a year back if Gemon Green plays in game 10 and 11 and then not again?

06/13/2018 - 11:59am It's still early to say but…

It's still early to say but we could be looking at 1 of the best Michigan teams ever in 19-20 considering the trajectories and potential of these players. Matthews is gone but if Poole and Iggy were to come back and nothing else crazy happens. Add McDaniels, Carton, and Wilson? That's friggin filthy

06/13/2018 - 8:16am What a fun ride that was, i…

What a fun ride that was, i remember how energized I was each game day of the tournament so I cant imagine what these guys felt

06/13/2018 - 8:00am Here's the thing about…

Here's the thing about Peters though, if he is really going to transfer then that decision I feel like is coming SOON. I'd prefer him to stay but there is definitely a log jam now at QB. So if he feels like he's getting passed then why sit on the sidelines this year, transfer next and sit another year out?? This might mean another shaky backup situation this season.

06/09/2018 - 9:59pm Just for arguments sake I'll…

Just for arguments sake I'll counter your point. TR was a class kid, it's a fine school that produces a lot of talent, but if you go through the list of kids they've had a tough time making an impact in college. Some have, most haven't. Couch though with similar measurables but being from high talent rich Miami made him a higher ceiling recruit compared to TR. He's a pretty big loss considering the lack of names to replace him. Just my OP

Thomas might be my forever wolverine. Right at the age where these games started having an emotional tie

05/30/2018 - 10:18am We also want guys to beat the

We also want guys to beat the rivals too. They'll go pro no matter what

05/23/2018 - 4:02pm Might just be worth the $8 a

Might just be worth the $8 a month or whatever to get on the 247/Rivals boards. None of the information is privledged here, It can be found in numerous other places. Don't bite the hand that feeds

05/21/2018 - 4:10pm Based on the BALLZ lets say

Based on the BALLZ lets say Michigan grabs Wilson and Carton with their 2 currently open roster spots. Who's the 3rd guy on Michigans list they would target if someone transfers or decommits? Watts?

05/19/2018 - 7:03pm He's not going Blue, so

He's not going Blue, so Oregon would be awesome! Malik Hairston had a great career out there.

05/16/2018 - 12:48pm Agreed, but how are we ever

Agreed, but how are we ever going to know where this money comes from? Will it be public record? Because we already know how MSU handles their records. My guess is MSU wont leave a money trail and it will never be talked about ending with the taxpayers and students basically paying the bill

05/14/2018 - 12:34pm One thing I havent come

One thing I havent come across yet is if this will provide general public business opportunities? Obviously the casinos are going to pick this up real quick and roll with it, I did see that bets will need to be placed at "brick and mortar" establishments until mobile wagering is developed and ok'd for launch.

So for the people not close to casinos or willing to bet online, could one place a bet at their local BWW? Dave and Busters? Any sports bar? Will places be created in the burbs so I dont have to drive to Battle Creek or Detroit to make a bet?

04/19/2018 - 8:26am Just another example that

Just another example that people dont really give a fuck about whats going on at MSU. At the end of the day they'll still get their bball and fball recruits. They'll talk shit about UM, rub past results in our face, critisize coaching. It's pathetic.

04/19/2018 - 8:21am They've got some nice

They've got some nice athletes but I'll bet a dollar they dont live up to the hype. They're "combine" kids. Got the speed and measurables.

04/12/2018 - 3:39pm Hooray for April top 6

Hooray for April top 6 recruiting championships!! There's a good possibility that Michigans best recruits for 19 have already verballed. Read this skill position post again, and any national recruiting article that basically says Herron and Hinton are highly potential flips down the road. It's not the end of the world but there is reason for concern, thats all

04/12/2018 - 3:29pm It really was, I was

It really was, I was completely aboard the train just a few months ago. These kids who did have Michigan high on list have seemingly dropped them or fell in love with other schools. Offensive recruiting is becoming worrisome, i think the 19 OL class will be nice and we'll continue to get real defensive players

04/12/2018 - 3:24pm Youre right, Higdon worked

Youre right, Higdon worked out OK. Something like 70% of his yards were against 4 of the worst teams imaginable. We all yell at the OL for their issues but lets not act like we've had a RB that can create his own yards/Tds in a while. The kind of RB Brian mentioned we're going to miss on

04/06/2018 - 2:07pm The 2018 Class is going to be

The 2018 Class is going to be great, and then all I want in 19 is Romeo Weems. Him alone I would consider a recruiting "bump"

04/04/2018 - 3:48pm Cue the Spartan Response

Cue the Spartan Response "See, they never even did anything wrong, It was just seduction. God damn witch hunt, everyone is out to get MSU"

04/04/2018 - 8:13am Where does Michigan stand

Where does Michigan stand with Romeo Weems right now? Is he a guy Michigan is even heavily targeting?

03/29/2018 - 7:50am Anywhere downtown Detroit

Anywhere downtown Detroit having a watch party? I've tried looking, not many "sports bars". Hitting the Tigers game before hand so i'll be sauced up and ready to go

03/23/2018 - 2:49pm What's appropriate? I not too

What's appropriate? I'm not too familiar with asst basketball coaches salaries. If he's at 200k now, double it to 400k? Anything to keep this man here a few more years, He'll likely be seeing some HC offers soon.

03/23/2018 - 7:30am Kansas and Purdue are winning

Kansas and Purdue are winning tonight as well. So that would 6 of the bottom 8. A real idiot this Myron guy

03/20/2018 - 1:18pm I'd say because BIG guy

I'd say because BIG guy development takes a little bit longer than guards. Davis is also a year behind Teske so there would be nice spacing there. If Wagner did return and then graduate the big men would be Teske (senior) Davis (RJunior) and Castleton (RFrosh)

03/20/2018 - 12:10pm This isnt a hard decision. IF

This isnt a hard decision. IF Mo wants to come back then Watson is gone. Assuming no other attrition Michigan can either keep Watson and let Wagner walk or the other way around. OBVIOUS

03/19/2018 - 1:04pm It's ok, we'll all be

It's ok, we'll all be laughing at Loyer for the next 4 years.

03/15/2018 - 10:32am Easiest draw outside of a 1

Easiest draw outside of a 1 seed to the sweet 16 is MSU. I don't even think they'll struggle to get there. TCU is trash, guessing the zone will send them packing.

03/11/2018 - 9:40am Start in Texas, end in Texas!

Start in Texas, end in Texas!

03/05/2018 - 10:59am MSU is basically St. Marys

MSU is basically St. Marys

03/01/2018 - 6:36pm The refereeing was probably

The refereeing was probably the worst it's been all year and these are tourney games. They need to be better since these games are literally win or go home.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but whenever Michigan loses again it's going to be because they can't make effing free throws

03/01/2018 - 3:34pm Fuck this, what a horribly

Fuck this, what a horribly officiated game. 3 top scorers all with 2 fouls? Michigan shouldnt even be playing in this fucking game.

03/01/2018 - 12:23pm So, who do we want to beat

So, who do we want to beat MSU tomorrow? Maryland or Wisconsin? I think Maryland would have the better chance, so Go Turtles!

03/01/2018 - 10:52am Really? You think Iowa gets

Really? You think Iowa gets 70+ points on Michigan today? I don't see it, I think Mich D's em up and slows this game down a bit. Hopefully some hot shooting can afford them to play some bench players more minutes and conserve their energy for Nebraska and hopefully a primetime MSU game on Saturday.

02/28/2018 - 3:28pm Ace, could you also see

Ace, could you also see redshirts for Nunez and Castleton? Obviously is Nunez comes to town and starts making everything then that changes. With the 8 next year seeming like the core, add in Davis, Brooks, Castleton, and Nunez thats 12 guys. Someones not going to play much if at all

02/28/2018 - 3:14pm Michigan has the next great

Michigan has the next great PG coming in next year in DeJulius, I think he'll pass Brooks rather quickly and be a 15-20 minute player. He's a better scorer than Simpson.

Ignas Brazdeikis is the Big Ten Freshmen of the year next season, heard it here first. The guy is a plug and play and may take Livers spot in the starting 5 after a while. I'm thinking 12-13ppg for him.

Brandon Johns also is bringing the ability to score and rebound, he's got the length and athleticism to defend the post or taller wing players.

These 3 guys are seeing the court immediately. With the 5 you mentioned for a pretty nice 8 man rotation with Brooks sprinkled in, Davis will battle Castleton for the backup 5 minutes too. Of course this is all moot to an extent if Michigan gets Wagner back.

Scoring threats next season IMO:

1. Poole 2. Iggy 3. Matthews 4. Livers 5. Teske 6. Simpson 7. DeJulius 8. Johns

02/28/2018 - 11:16am Cousins hot dogged a girls

Cousins hot dogged a girls ass I knew in college. She said it was the weirdest night of her life.

For clarification, no sex, just a weiner in between some buns

02/09/2018 - 1:59pm I want whatever the PLAYERS

I want whatever the PLAYERS want, fans should have zero influence on music. It's the players game, and I want them to hear whatever they like and makes them play better

02/08/2018 - 7:21am Funny how a team picked 12th

Funny how a team picked 12th in the conference goes on a run like this isnt it? OSU no less, meanwhile here's Mich looking like trash on the road at NW. When will it ever be Michigans time? Seriously, Will they ever be 12-1 in the conference? OSU depends on like 6 guys, they arent deep at all and still win every damn game

02/08/2018 - 7:16am Michigan is 2 games out of

Michigan is 2 games out of the 4 seed right now, and doubtful they'll make up that ground on a Nebraska team that plays no one down the stretch. 5th place is our ceiling, yay!

02/07/2018 - 11:42am This 18 recruiting is going

This 18 recruiting class is going to affect the 18 season very little in my opinion. There's like 2 guys who will play, it's on the current players to step up and right the ship. Unfortunately there will be some significant turnover after 18 and then the 19 season isn't going to be as great as we all once thought. 19 recruiting class is make or break
