It pops more on TV. It might not dominate red but it's more dominant than our dark blue.

Our fanbase are largely self important people who sell their tickets to opposing fans rather than go and support the team (especially vs OSU)

This comment reminded me of that youth football coaching legend twitter for some reason. I doubt anyone cares about my brain at 1:30 am, but if you don't follow it, you should.

Collapsible water bottles are allowed, or at least I saw a couple bringing them into the stadium as I was heading in. There's also free water cups at the hydration station by the student section (there may be more than one). I do agree the price for water should be reduced drastically especially on days like Saturday.

Didn't we drop 21 on Western in the first quarter? First drive was bad but after that it wasn't slow

I hate you for making me aware of this. I could have continued on in complete, blissful ignorance. (we lost 3-2 after conceding 2 in the last 5 minutes to take it to overtime, where we lost on a golden goal after having our golden goal shot go off the post)

Yes, if they're on the visiting team.

09/03/2018 - 11:59am Could've sworn Black caught…

Could've sworn Black caught one in one of those early home games before he got injured but I was wrong. To be fair, I was a victim of a fall wedding during the Cincinnati game last year but have no excuse for AF which I attended. The last WR TDs were against Cincinnati. Perry and Crawford each had one.

09/02/2018 - 6:53pm It's been a long time since…

It's been a long time since a WR caught a TD. It must've been Black's TD catch vs Air Force (?). Although, DPJ had that TD catch vs. Wisconsin that the refs screwed us out of. It's bad, though.

If Gary also had an older brother in the NFL these mock drafts wouldn't lean one way or the other.

08/15/2018 - 9:29am This is the most irritating…

This is the most irritating thing to me, currently. Obviously a lot of low points over the past decade but that's the past and we can't change it. This is an ongoing thing. Did I think we we're going to win vs OSU last year? No. They had destroyed MSU and we had to start John O'Korn. But I went anyway, because that's what fans do when their biggest rival comes to town. They don't sell their tickets to said rival's fans. I was more pissed about that last year than the actual loss.

Does Michigan football count as a mistress?

Until we start hearing stuff about fall camp, Urban Meyer is about the only cfb storyline that falls in the realm of things I will be interested in enough to read. It's been a long off-season.

If you're near AA just stop by the athletic ticket office. They'll have them there for free.

08/05/2018 - 11:39am I'd be interested in seeing…

I'd be interested in seeing the average per game over each season and how each game compared (and changed) the average. I'd be particularly interested in seeing that for two teams who play at the end of each season and who played a somewhat unusually refereed game a couple years ago. That'd be interesting.

I knew what he meant but that doesn't mean that that choice of words isn't most commonly used as a polite way to say someone died.

07/22/2018 - 4:52pm This season, you go on the…

This season, you go on the road to three major rivals who are all highly regarded, at least in the pre-season. Michigan has not won a road game against a ranked opponent since 2006. What are your plans to set your team up for greater success in these tougher environments and break this cycle?

Might sound like a troll comment but I'm really in the mindset now that it's basically impossible for us to win vs good competition on the road. Hell, last season we looked uninspired against bad competition on the road. The answer probably wouldn't do much but maybe encourage my hopes for this upcoming season a little more.

I wish my wife had taped me but she was asleep on the couch and got mad at me for rudely waking her up before getting mad at me for not waking her up to see it, as if I knew it was going to happen.

I'm pulling for France to win because I said they would before the tournament and that is at least a small consolation for Germany choking.

A lot of comments have gone over your head if you think the political comments on the board only started after the Abdul El-Sayed podcast.

And anyone who complains about the local politics stuff is ridiculous. There's no way to be balanced between the two major parties in Ann Arbor politics.

06/24/2018 - 5:27pm making a sign that says …

making a sign that says "Recruit better, Harbaugh" and waving it around on the Diag would be more effective in improving that than being angry on a sports blog. Please leave us alone.

06/24/2018 - 11:30am Well we missed on those kids…

Well we missed on those kids. They want to go to different schools. My parents and older sister all went to Michigan State, that didn't stop me from wanting to go to Michigan. The staff can only do so much to convince vain kids to come to our school. The biggest draw is on field success and nothing about that can change until September. I have faith that the staff put in full effort to get their first choices, but the best kids have lots of good options and we won't always be their first choice. The staff can't control everything.

06/24/2018 - 11:14am nice discussion you're…

nice discussion you're fostering here on this discussion board. Any response that slightly differs in opinion from yours is wrong and unenlightened to your higher sense of pessimism and you respond with condescension. This is a single crystal ball. Chill.

06/23/2018 - 10:30pm Man, as a Germany fan, it…

Man, as a Germany fan, it feels so much like the shot. Just like Michigan basketball, they still need to get their scheisse together, and they're winning in ways that they normally don't. Hoping, like Michigan, that Germany can use this as the spark to motivate them to push forward and make a deep run. Still lots of work to do to get to the round of 16, though.

06/17/2018 - 9:29am don't tell Bluey that…

don't tell Bluey that. Apparently all the best players from Michigan are Michigan fans and the only thing preventing them from committing here is the staff's complete and utter failure.

Since when are you one to criticize for being mad on a sports blog? Link one post you've made where you haven't been mad... I've yet to encounter one.

06/14/2018 - 3:20pm I root for Germany even over…

I root for Germany even over the US based on family. My dad came from Germany to the US to study and ended up getting married to an American and staying forever, so I grew up a Germany fan.

It'll be France or Brazil in my opinion, Germany cursed themselves by winning the confederation's cup last summer. I hope neither Portugal nor Argentina win - I appreciate the skill of both Messi and Ronaldo but dislike both of them. Would be alright if Spain won it, although I'm still bitter from 2010, because it'd be a great story (and the M connection).

Unfortunate that the opening match was between two distasteful countries neither of whom is that great at soccer. Props to Russia for demolishing SA, not that the Saudi defense posed much of a challenge.

I have >500 points but I'm still getting the message that I need 100 mgopoints to post and I also can't see the upvote/downvote mechanism.

I'm unable to upvote/downvote and make posts. That's really my only criticism right now.

06/09/2018 - 1:31pm Thanks.

Thanks.

You're right, I don't track everything he posts, but everything I click on that is posted by him is usually quite negative. I don't even entirely disagree with his viewpoints, I just think he could focus a little less on negatives.

I know, he just only ever posts bad news. The problem is the trend, not the data point.

06/08/2018 - 3:01pm Should be the same, I keep…

Should be the same, I keep getting a message I need 100 points to post to the board, but there's some sort of error where it's not registering my 500+ points because I am incapable of posting to the board and upvoting. Sigh.

06/07/2018 - 6:33pm I think there's something…

I think there's something wrong with my points. It doesn't give me the option to make new posts, I can't see the upvote/downvote mechanism, and underneath my username on the top of the page it says "You need at least 100 MGoPoints to create new posts."

It's not a huge deal because I don't really have the desire to make posts (although I'd like to upvote things), just thought I'd share my hypothesis in case someone else is having the same problem.

06/07/2018 - 12:30pm I'm sure no one here is…

I'm sure no one here is celebrating our current recruiting efforts in-state or our class last year, but the majority of us realize that being angry about it isn't worth our time. There is literally nothing we, as message board posters, can do to influence 17 year olds with big egos to choose the school we like. In fact, there's only so much Harbaugh can do, and the majority of that can't change until the actual football season starts, and none of what he can do will change based on your incessant negative posts on this board.

Try to find a hobby that gives you joy.

I saw it when I had to change my password to login but now I can't find it. Would like to finally add a photo since not having one looks bad on the new site.

I guess I could go through the password reset process again, but would prefer not to.
