If Auburn goes down in flames (and even with the TD they just scored it looks like they are) I have to imagine one of Boise State or TCU will be in the BCS Title Game, most likely Boise if they beat Nevada tonight. Which is pretty awesome, really. The BCS system can go fuck itself and I am more than happy to see upstarts help take it apart.
November 26th, 2010 at 4:11 PM ^
NCAA Football needs some type of playoffs.
Playoffs? Yes Playoffs
November 26th, 2010 at 4:01 PM ^
...Boise and Oregon do vs. Nevada and Arizona respectively. Losses there and we'll have true chaos.
Glad to see Auburn getting rocked by Bama.
November 26th, 2010 at 5:56 PM ^
the perfect BSC chaos would be if Oregon, BSU and TCU all remain undefeated. Then what? It is the perfect storm of weird unquantifiable intangibles, along with the real possibilty that, say, BSU could actually beat Oregon (again) in the Mythical National Championship Brought to You by Cialis. Wouldn't if be hilarious if at the end of the year BSU and TCU were both undefeated?

If Alabama loses, this one is on the OP.
November 26th, 2010 at 6:41 PM ^
Seriously. Good lord. As soon as I saw this in the 1st half I knew Auburn was going to make a comeback. Now it's over. Great.
November 26th, 2010 at 4:06 PM ^
I would love to see Oregon drop one and then the mess really screws the BCS. Two teams ranked #1, #2 both non-bcs schools and then who plays?????? The BCS really needs to wake up and just schedule according to the rankings rather than denying schools who have played into the top tiers.
November 26th, 2010 at 4:08 PM ^
Could The Hat jump these two with a win over a very good SC team and AU loses in the SEC championship game? That would be insane. Here's to the end of the BCS
November 26th, 2010 at 4:18 PM ^
November 26th, 2010 at 4:08 PM ^
All I know is that if Auburn loses, I hope its a blow out. I don't want any of this win the SEC title and get back into the title game crap.
Gary F$#% Face Danielson is already comparing Auburn to the Nebraska team that got blown out by Colorado and still went to the title game. He's also comparing Newton to Crouch from that season.
God I hate the SEC. And the BCS. I want absolute chaos. I will be rooting for Oregon to go down tonight so that the shit can really hit the fan.
Boise vs. TCU Title Game? Fine by me because I think BCS teams would be up in arms. Although it would never happen in a million years.
November 26th, 2010 at 4:11 PM ^
Man I do not want to see Boise or TCU in the national championship.
November 26th, 2010 at 4:34 PM ^
I'd rather see Boise vs. TCU than a scenario where the Buckeyes squeeze into the BCS MNC game. I could probably accept Wisky getting in...but not the Buckeyes.
Fans disagree about a lot of things...but pretty much everybody thinks that this system is a crappy crappy way to determine a D1 college football National Champion.
November 26th, 2010 at 4:41 PM ^
I do... only because it will end the debate of whether or not they are "good enough" to play at that level.
I know there is the argument that if BSU or TCU played in the Big Ten or SEC or any other conference that there is no way they would go undefeated, but until they get their shot at the NC they will continue to piss and moan about how they got snubbed.
I would like to see what BSU or TCU can do against a team like Oregon. All 3 teams are top 10 in scoring offense and total offense. BSU and TCU are 1 & 2 in total defense (against mediocre teams), so we can truly see what those defenses can do.
November 26th, 2010 at 4:12 PM ^
I hate the guy, but the play the Fairley just made for Auburn was absolutely ridiculous.
November 26th, 2010 at 4:14 PM ^
... put Boise & TCU in the BCS championship game. That game doesn't really crown anything anyways. But it would be a cool matchup and nice to see all the experts melt down.
Me? I'd still rather have Big Ten championships & Rose Bowls any day.
November 26th, 2010 at 4:15 PM ^
I would like to see BSU play Oregon and whip them good....all the arguments about weak schedules and bigger better conferences would be out the door. BCS chaos to say the least
November 26th, 2010 at 4:17 PM ^
LSU vs. Wisconsin/Stanford MNC!
What a joke that would be!
November 26th, 2010 at 5:13 PM ^
THe Mad Hatter's got it all worked out
November 26th, 2010 at 4:16 PM ^
Bama is making first downs and big plays with shocking ease. I keep worrying that our defense is going to look like Auburn's tomorrow.
November 26th, 2010 at 4:18 PM ^
I would kill for Auburn's defense!
November 26th, 2010 at 4:28 PM ^
Good point. Auburn's secondary is ranked 100th. What is ours? 116th? Auburn would be a few steps up.
November 26th, 2010 at 7:23 PM ^
As long as we get the same outcome, I don't care how much our d looks like Auburn's.
November 26th, 2010 at 4:22 PM ^
This is a big deal for the Rose Bowl, which would be relieved of that requirement to pick a non-AQ school if Boise or TCU made it to the MNC game. Something like a Wisconsin vs. Stanford Rose Bowl now looks more likely.
November 26th, 2010 at 4:37 PM ^
Stanford will bomb on Wisconsin so bad that Bielema's going to get "Harbaugh's little bitch" tattoo on his calf.
Also, Harbaugh's going to crash the Wisconsin's postgame press conference to call Bielema out as the biggest douche in college football and will ask Bielema if he likes having his ass handed to him.
Oh yeah, then Harbaugh will announce himself as the new Michigan headcoach and will tell Bielema he'd better get used to having his ass stomped year-in and year-out!
November 26th, 2010 at 8:46 PM ^
that would be the "Wolverine way".
November 26th, 2010 at 4:31 PM ^
Looks like the ducks are in the driver seat. LSU should get a bump if they play a complete game against Arkansas. Beating Bama was huge at the time. Even more so after today if Bama holds on.
November 26th, 2010 at 4:41 PM ^
Woah! Heisman chaos as well. Cam & Co. have 87yds of O in the first half.
Um, scratch that!
Looks like he's to play! We have a game...
November 26th, 2010 at 4:44 PM ^
But my opinion is that Newton is dirtier than Saban (Say it ain't so!)
November 26th, 2010 at 4:48 PM ^
Newton just got caught....Saban is probably AT LEAST as dirty, just not dumb enough to get caught
November 26th, 2010 at 4:56 PM ^
But during this game, I feel less dirty rooting for Alabama even if Satan is their coach.
November 26th, 2010 at 5:10 PM ^
this was a really dumb and premature thread. its 24-21
November 26th, 2010 at 5:10 PM ^
well 3 pt game now
November 26th, 2010 at 5:10 PM ^
NSFMF...Tigers score their third straight touchdown. 24-21 Bama.
Looks like it will be a good finish.
November 26th, 2010 at 5:11 PM ^
this is why people shouldn't post when the basis of their comment is "lulz"
November 26th, 2010 at 5:12 PM ^
I think this game further proves the point that Boise and tcu don't belong. Playing tough teams week in and week out should factor into teams going to the nc.
November 26th, 2010 at 5:14 PM ^
Too bad none of these Auburn "points" actually count. First-half scoring is all that matters, dude. :-)
November 26th, 2010 at 5:35 PM ^
Alabama is blowing it......
November 26th, 2010 at 5:44 PM ^
You jinxed it! Now I will get ready and go out to drink away my Boise State woes.
November 26th, 2010 at 5:45 PM ^
Haven't hatched yet. Belay counting.
November 26th, 2010 at 5:55 PM ^
ouch....McElroy is done
November 26th, 2010 at 5:56 PM ^
Holy cow, McElroy is lucky this is the last game of the season for several weeks.
November 26th, 2010 at 6:12 PM ^
Well.....this is awkward
November 26th, 2010 at 6:14 PM ^
Auburn comes back from being down 24-0. They'll have to vacate this win anyway in three years when they get caught for cheating.
November 26th, 2010 at 6:14 PM ^
I demand the OP be held responsible for his actions. His post is the sole reason Cam Newton and Auburn are one win away from the BCS title game.
In other news, we are one game closer to having Boise or TCU matched up against OSU, which, could be fun.
November 26th, 2010 at 6:15 PM ^
November 26th, 2010 at 6:18 PM ^
While I was rooting for the Bama upset, I really don't have a dog in this race.
Go Blue!
