31 weeks 3 days ago	C'mon man...	The meltdowns, flame wars, pos-bangs, neg bangs... none of those were useful, but they were awesomely entertaining. They were few and far between, so let's not make it seem like they were the norm.  If you don't want to read the flame wars, don't click the links.  These things happen on all message boards.

Frankly, I just don't see the point of putting in a parking lot.  Even with the athletic complex expanding, there is pleanty of parking for daily activities.  During game times, there have always been a parking problem, so what's prompting this? The site could be used as a local training facility for many other varsity or club sports.  It's just sad to see a historical place like this get paved over just so a few extra people don't have to hunt for parking.

1 year 6 days ago	MGoNetworking LinkedIn Group	Now has 360 members in only 2 days. It also has a number of open positions that people in the Blog community are looking to fill. If just one person gets a job from this group I will consider it a massive success!

1 year 1 week ago	LinkedIn Group is Setup!	I know I'm posting this a lot, but I want to spread the word. Search LinkedIn for the group "MGoNetworking". Spread the word.  I'll post a board topic about this tomorrow and a few more times this week to spread the word as well.

I made it "auto-join" and will keep it this way for a couple weeks while we build a community then we can switch to "request to join" if necessary. I'll make you a co-owner as soon as you join!  Thanks for volunteering! I'm going to post this comment at the top of the post as well and add a few board posts over the next week or so soliciting members.
1 year 1 week ago	I think LinkedIn is the best	I think LinkedIn is the best place to have this.  You can keep your identities separate from MGoBlog as there would be no mention of your MGoBlog user name on LinkedIn.   You can also see a person's professional profile.  The discussion board would also be a place where the community can ask questions about relocation, job advice, etc. As I mention below, I'm willing to set this up on LinkedIn.
1 year 1 week ago	I volunteer to setup a LinkedIn Group	I think LinkedIn is the way to go with this... as it's geared toward professionals.   I know one member above has listed some issues with cold calling, but our group would be restricted. Not sure it's completely appropriate to have this type of thing on the blog. A couple questions before I create this: Everyone agree with LinkedIn? What should the group name be?  MGoNetworking, MGoGroup, MGoBlog? Sign-up process suggestions? Volunteers to be a co-group owner to help with sign-up in case it's a little more complicated than just request permission?
1 year 3 weeks ago	Satellite campuses located in	Satellite campuses located in major cities across the world is not the same as online education. These are only going to be used for Executive Education for the Business School.  It's in direct response to all the other high powered schools doing the same (Wharton, Harvard, Yale...). Think about it... you are a $1 million+ executive on the West Coast.  You don't have time to fly to Ann Arbor every month.  It's a convenience thing.

1 year 3 weeks ago	Come on Don	At least people are making it known that they completely disagree with this plan.  While the petition wording is cheesy and ultimately it may not work, it's certainly better than doing nothing. I feel better knowing that Dave Brandon and Mary Sue Coleman are getting hundreds of emails saying that people want the band there, including mine.

1 year 18 weeks ago	/Serious mode It's because	/Serious mode It's because the main consumers of diet soft drinks are women according to their market research team.  They found that men shy away from diet drinks as they are not "macho enough".  So, they decided to create an ad that is completely obvious (so obvious that it's a joke) in it's attempt to capture more of a male market. By being so obviously sexist, it's generated a huge amount of attention, even among women.  Supposedly 40% of their new consumer base is now women. /end serious mode Catch phrase!!!
