There is a rule in the NFL: If a franchise changes their logo/jerseys, they cannot make another change for a window of 5 years. For example, the Lions changed both in 09, and therefore cannot make any design changes yet, so their new Nike jerseys will be basically the same as before. Obviously teams like the Steelers, Cowboys, Giants etc. have traditional jerseys that are probably not going to change significantly due to said tradition and fan bases that might blow up at changes. It will be interesting to see how they all look, and hopefully Michigan switches back to Nike when their current contract is done. (and don't use pro-combats as an excuse to why we should not switch back...Bama, PSU, USC all are Nike and do not have horrid pro-combats, we wouldn't either) |
