“The player development is the main thing I like (about Michigan),” Williams said. “You can see that they develop their players. They get them in the gym and they work them hard. And their hard work pays off.”

My top 3:
1. End of the game key plays during the two wins against state: Stauskas hiting a 3 followed by Walton's And-1 to pull away at Breslin, and then Caris' transition dunk to put away the game at Crisler.
2. Stauskas cold blooded step back 3 against Wisconsin at the end of the win
3. JMo playing Stokes man up and drawing the charge.
I loved last years run, but in some senses this year was a lot more fun to watch. We just watched one of the most efficient offenses ever with GRIII, Stauskas and Levert probably playing together for the last time. What's crazy is these guys were all in the same class - Imagine if they stayed til their senior seasons - records would be demolished as we compete for championships year after year. Beilein is truly a wizard to get our program back to where it's at right now. So proud of this team and I'm not ready to look ahead to next year and the uncertainties at this point - it's time to appreciate what this team has done these past few months and how lucky we are as fans to have this team to root for. Go Blue!

This is what we have folks: a team that is not mentally tough enough to win down the stretch of the season, combined with the inability to adjust after halftime on offense. I get not being able to stop one of the most dynamic offenses in college football, but to come out the last 4 drives and have basically nothing to show for it is a summary of this regime after such a hot start.

I give Al all the credit in the world against this horrendous defense this game. It's also a huge positive that we pretty much abandoned what didn't work against PSU (tackle over, I form runs). We still ran stretch without much success but hey, 63 points and 700+ yards of offense. Frustrations still linger because as a highly touted offensive coordinator, these adjustments should have been applied to his play calling real-time against PSU instead of lighting the first downs we had on fire with the little success we had. So props to Al for this gameplan, just wish it was sooner to keep us undefeated.
I think the key disclaimer is that we of course should not be expecting this level of success in our next game against MSU, but this game showed what will give us the best chance of success and keep the excellent MSU defense on their heels: allowing the pass to open up the run and having a good balance to keep Narduzzi and co. honest. Protect Gardner, build his confidence on the road slowly and prevent horrendous mistakes against a good secondary.

We did this with disastrous results last week. See AJ Williams attempting to be the blindside tackle, giving up a sack easily.

I'm not sure where this was inferred, but it makes absolutely no sense. The delay of game ran off literally as much time as possible pre-3rd down, stopping the clock in that situation hurts nothing. The yardage however is an entirely different story...I would be highly highly disappointed if we had a mid-40s FG attempt and still decided to pouch in that situation

Know my place? What are you talking about? I just asked if anyone remember a worse performance. 5 TOs with 2 absolutely horrendous decisions in there leading to picks. What does the past 2 years have to do with last night?

Serious question: was this the worst Michigan QB performance of all time? Love denard, but I cannot think of any worse off the top of my head.

It says Brady Hoke makes $3.2 million a year, making him the 8th highest paid coach in all of college football. He would be worth every penny but I have no idea where they got that number. Is that right?

Then you must work for the Pistons, because no regular fan would know the interactions between a GM and his assistant GM. You realize you're saying you know for a fact John Hammond built this team because Joe D has made bad decisions in the recent past. Provide proof other than "John Hammond left, and now we suck" and I'll shut up. But until then you're just making assumptions you can't prove, but are stating as fact.
|2 years 32 weeks ago||So all that means John||
So all that means John Hammond made the trade for Ben Wallace, the trade for Rasheed, the trade for Rip, the initial signing of Chauncey, the drafting of Tay, etc. I assume you work for the Pistons, because no one watching the games at home would know all the details behind the scenes of the organization. But you state it as if it's fact, so I guess you do know more than the rest of us.
Do I like his moves recently? Hell no. But give the guy credit for putting together a championship contender. Did I mention that he's made good decisions recently, or that he should be above all criticism? No. But at least respect what he did for this franchise. Notice that no where did I say he should keep his job because of his past success.

All I can think about is the contrast between today and exactly three years ago.
We just sent Lloyd out with an amazing victory over the defending champions and the heisman trophy winner. We had a hot item hire who (most) fans were excited for and the future was promising. I was SO DAMN HAPPY THREE YEARS AGO.
And now three years later, look at this mess. I've been here for undergrad 3 years and all three years have been unbelievably dissapointing. The irony is ridiculous, I've been going to games ever since 2002 (PSU OT game) and we had been the Michigan of old. Once I start paying to live on campus and attending games as a student, we suck majorly. We just got blown out in a bowl game worse than Tennessee beat us in the Citrus Bowl a few years back. Defense is nonexistent, special teams is horrendous (except Tay today, well done) and our coach, who I have supported for 3 solid years, is about to be fired. I don't know what to say. Alcohol
