No. This is news dammit. And Michigan cheats - but we’re not going to explain a thing. They’re just cheaters: here’s a random photo from a cmu game to “prove” it. What are we in amateur hour? Jesus I wish you guys could see how embarrassing this is

I assume they have these calls pretty frequently.

Again, I think rival fans need to be careful what they wish for here.  If you want the Big 10 to act unilaterally and without due process then (a) be ready for UM to fight back and that turn into a thing, and (b) don't expect any grace when you inevitably fuck up and find out how a mob tribunal works.  Because I'm fairly certain that filming games on an iPhone isn't the worst violation being perpetrated by conference members.

UM only fights with itself. We’re notorious for bending backwards for everyone. The big ten will ban us and we’ll say sorry you’re right we should be better. Biggest pussies we are. We won’t do shit and that’s why the coaches and AD are spewing this garbage. If it was osu they’d all shut their mouths.

I can promise you that if the Big 10 robs Michigan of a chance at millions of dollars in revenue they aren't going to bend in any direction for them.

They did the preemptive 3-game suspension for Harbaugh because that's what programs do to mitigate longer-term sanctions - look at basically any other scandal over the years and they do the same thing.  It's how it works.

This place hates Warde and I get that - I'd be fine if he got fired for trying to keep Mel around and letting UM hire Shemy - but every good AD in the country would largely do the same thing UM is doing now.  And you are foolish if you think anyone in the conference likes OSU any more than UM.

The Big Ten itself (with its member institutions) makes a lot of money off of Michigan being great. They are not about to kill a golden goose because a bunch of insecure coaches suddenly invented an implausible reason for why they are getting destroyed.

One of the weaknesses of revenue sports in their current form is that money controls everything. But in this case, that reality is going to provide some restraint for the emotional overreaction hoped for by the investigating firm and the individual or team that hired them. It will be interesting to find out, as this whole thing plays out, how far up the totem pole the plan for hiring the investigating firm went. It would be a delicious irony if hiring the firm got the party who did so fired at his own school.

Wolverine91, you’re being negged, but that’s a fairly common sentiment for UM fans. I think the major reason is that they don’t talk to the media about anything ongoing, even through friends (like Webb). Remember, most politics and sensitive topics are discussed behind closed doors and we have no idea what Warde, Santa, and Jimmy are doing behind the scenes.

The little that I’ve read suggests that Michigan is confident they can beat this and they didn’t break the letter of the law. What ESPN commentators and Yahoo writers say is not relevant at this point, since public opinion doesn’t decide anything here.

Yes Isaiah Hole reported that the majority of BigTen teams have a sign stealer. Sign stealers all know who the other school's sign stealers are. They trade stolen signs with each other on Sundays.

Therefore any advantage Stallions got for us was minimal if the media wanted to highlight this.

But they weren't necessarily doing it how Stallions was, although OSU has been accused of doing that to without the evidence.

Stalions was a Marine.  In case you didn't know, Marine officers attend the Naval Academy because they don't have an academy of their own.  In fact, the Marines were started by the Navy as the amphibious version of the Army.  Until WWII ended, the Marines were part of the Navy Department (similar to how the Air Force was part of the Army.)
