Just when you thought it couldn't get weirder........ Is that Stalions on the CMU sidelines?
Central played at State on the Friday night before Michigan's opener with East Carolina. Is this Connor Stalions on the Central sidelines, credentialed, and wearing Central gear?
He's at the game studying signs for future reference?
Is this our beloved Connor with a wig? Video:
Video:
Maybe it's not him. But the debate is raging. Is it him?
Sooooo, if it is him, how is it he's wearing Central gear on the Central sidelines? How does that happen? Seems odd.
But hey, maybe it's not him.
I think I speak for a lot of people right now:

So we can now just post random shit?
October 31st, 2023 at 3:09 AM ^
In fairness to the OP, even guys like Zach Shaw at 247 have tweeted about this.
October 31st, 2023 at 6:57 AM ^
This appears to be one of the things that Michigan insiders were warning us would come out. It explains why Michigan isn’t using the “grey areas” defense — Stalions also scouted games himself directly. But, according to them, Stalions was acting alone — so this does not change the fundamental nature of the story.
October 31st, 2023 at 10:52 AM ^
The fundamental nature of the story is at the very least lack of institutional control.
October 31st, 2023 at 11:18 AM ^
No, no it is not. Go Away.
October 31st, 2023 at 11:42 AM ^
Some OSU fans, like the one here (see posting history) can easily convince themselves that they're on a higher ethical plane. If you think like that, you can believe anything.
October 31st, 2023 at 8:28 PM ^
That might be the claim, but you want to be able to show (I) we have appropriate compliance policies in place (ii) we regularly instruct and update staff on those policies (iii) we monitor compliance through an appropriate process (iv) we self-report any issues we uncover (v) despite our best efforts we had no idea we had a lunatic on staff.
October 31st, 2023 at 1:12 PM ^
In fairness to random guys, Dan Dakich is tweeting about this. He's one guy whose takes are so far out there, they are beyond belief. Dakich is my litmus test for what is real and what is total BS.
October 31st, 2023 at 5:02 AM ^
ya new here?
October 31st, 2023 at 8:20 AM ^
Hey OP…You want it to stop? Do your small bit and STOP POSTING.
October 31st, 2023 at 10:01 AM ^
How dare the guy post about something that's going around social media about michigan on a michigan blog. Just crazy
October 31st, 2023 at 5:07 PM ^
Don't understand this response at all. I mean this was on Sam Webb's site but without any context. The OP gave a lot more. I came on here specifically looking for context (what game was it and when, etc). I don't think discussing this at a place like MGoBlog is feeding the trolls.
October 31st, 2023 at 3:07 AM ^
I don't see why being on the sideline would be preferred over filming from the stands -- unless he's wearing spy glasses that records video, lol. It seems substantially more risky, and would accomplish substantially less (with no video). Unless he's just a sign savant who can memorize everything at first glance from across the field.
This all has kind of jumped the shark now. It's just funny-bad.
October 31st, 2023 at 3:36 AM ^
Sure, but you gotta admit this Stallone Rocky kid turned Mission Impossible character in CMU hat wearing sunglasses at 8:30pm in East Lansing looks pretty diabolically suspicious.
Can't wait to see what's in store for our daily dose on Halloween. Insanely comical.
October 31st, 2023 at 4:12 AM ^
Can you imagine if Harbaugh was actually in on a plot to send Stalions in a disguise with a sideline pass to steal signs from MSU?
This either (1) isn't Stalions (2) proves he went rogue on his own, or (3) is the dumbest plot ever concocted by a coaching staff.
October 31st, 2023 at 4:44 AM ^
2- Just give him the chair and call it a day.
Edit: Confirmed by Brian that this is in fact Stalions. He also mentioned, Michigan nor CMU knew his presence there and he "got a sideline pass and showed up in full CMU gear and snuck into the restricted area."
DUMBASS- the chair NOW!
October 31st, 2023 at 7:06 AM ^
How would he get a sideline pass from CMU? Is he friends with McElwain?
October 31st, 2023 at 8:46 AM ^
I am sure there was and is quite a bit of cross-pollination between Michigan and CMU seeing that McElwain was an assistant coach at Michigan for a period of time. And they are two schools in the same state, it's highly likely a lot of people on both teams know each other. It probably wasn't difficult at all for CS to get a sideline pass with his own doing. He didn't need Harbaugh, Minter, Moore, etc, to get him in.
October 31st, 2023 at 11:17 AM ^
Hey remember McElwain was one of the Michigan coaches several years ago. The relationships are/were there. Now who knows if Jim M and Jim H actually communicate anymore.
October 31st, 2023 at 2:49 PM ^
Actually, McElwain coached at MSU, 2003-2005, and Michigan, 2018, as receivers coach. Whether the Manifesto Maestro was acting with official connections, why would he jeopardize those coaching connections to obtain some dubious competitive edge for Michigan?
October 31st, 2023 at 8:22 AM ^
I don't think Brian knows definitively that it's Stalions.
October 31st, 2023 at 8:38 AM ^
How is this confirmed? I’m seeing a lot of discussion it’s not him. Seems like it will be hard to prove
October 31st, 2023 at 10:53 AM ^
Brian was being sarcastic. It’s not Stallions. FFS
October 31st, 2023 at 11:13 AM ^
Really? I hope Brian had a /s
October 31st, 2023 at 4:26 PM ^
Brian’s confirmation says he snuck into a restricted area. The guy pictured is wearing the specific pass for the bench. Maybe he snuck in by switching passes with someone or something. Brian seems definitive. If it’s true there are only 50 bench passes issued each game and they are numbered it seems like CMU would know who this guy is quickly. Starting with asking the 3 guys in identical shirts around him. “Hey! Who was that dude you were standing with right there?” Seems easy enough.
October 31st, 2023 at 7:00 AM ^
Since Brian is saying it is Stallions, that leaves us with 2 or 3. The people who want to see Michigan nuked obviously think its 3, but its obviously evidence of 2. No staff is signing off on something as dumb as this
October 31st, 2023 at 7:24 AM ^
Is it a violation to have Stallions on the sideline? I thought it was just electronic devices to record?
October 31st, 2023 at 7:38 AM ^
I would assume it is a violation to be a different team’s staff being on team’s sideline without permission
October 31st, 2023 at 7:53 AM ^
Actually being in person is the part against the rules. It's not a Michigan game so nothing in the rules about recording signals.
There are no rules about "Hey you know that game you're not allowed to be at? You're not allowed to use equipment either. But you're not even there in the first place."
October 31st, 2023 at 7:55 AM ^
This is what the Baylor infraction was. All that happened in that case was the coach in question was suspended for I think half a game. So yes, this is not allowed.
October 31st, 2023 at 12:22 PM ^
Who fucking cares? The kid was trying hard to get ahead. And he wasn't stealing for us but using his knowledge to help McElwain.
What about Tressel and Dantonio colluding to keep any recruit to go to Michigan. I mean, the entire state of Ohio was shut out, and this isn't a coincidence.
We're allowed to collude, too.
October 31st, 2023 at 2:09 PM ^
He was on the CMU sideline to help McElwain.....gonna need a citation on that absurd claim
October 31st, 2023 at 8:36 PM ^
I dunno. I guess I'm just old. Every 28-year old bro (is that the word the kids use nowadays?) look the same to me.
October 31st, 2023 at 8:30 AM ^
I'm pretty sure it was Jim McElwain who jumped the shark.....
October 31st, 2023 at 9:31 AM ^
Rhymes with jumped
October 31st, 2023 at 10:16 AM ^
Yeah I can't figure out what you gain by being on the sidelines vs being in the stands. If you really wanted to do this, wouldnt you stand on the MSU sideline so that you could get more intel?
If you're standing on the CMU sideline then it makes it seem like you're doing that to help CMU coaches decipher signals.
October 31st, 2023 at 12:00 PM ^
I think you'd want to be across from the MSU sideline to see the signs as if you're seeing them from the field.
However, I think it'd be cheaper to buy a ticket than to buy the CMU gear.
October 31st, 2023 at 10:57 AM ^
I have two co-workers who are service academy graduates. Absolutely nothing about Stallions' behavior surprises me.
October 31st, 2023 at 3:23 AM ^
Can we please fast forward to the end?
Just get to the mic drop already. I don't care who drops it, just drop the fucking mic.
October 31st, 2023 at 8:30 AM ^
Everyone keeps saying this but literally nothing new has actually come out.
It's this same dude.
Stop fucking posting shit about this, stop worrying about this, and chill out.
We're probably looking at potential Natty this year, and Sherrone Moore or Jim as HC going into 2024, and ferret-strangling continues.
Everything is fine. Get off twitter.
October 31st, 2023 at 9:04 AM ^
Twitter? I'm not on fucking twitter!
I'm on X, asswipe.
October 31st, 2023 at 11:27 AM ^
Nah. Fuck that. Elon Musk can cry about it all he wants, it's still twitter and always will be.
Keep sticking up for those persecuted corporations though.
October 31st, 2023 at 11:58 AM ^
That’s actually worse.
October 31st, 2023 at 11:23 AM ^
"Get off twitter" - isn't that what got Mel in trouble?
October 31st, 2023 at 1:38 PM ^
He twittered until he got off, huge distinction
October 31st, 2023 at 11:34 AM ^
Well, one thing we are accomplishing by posting these things is we're giving them the clicks that they so richly desire, so he has a point.
October 31st, 2023 at 3:40 AM ^
The dude in CMU gear has hair, Stalions appears to be a bald dude. Doubt its him.
October 31st, 2023 at 7:00 AM ^
Hair, something that famously never grows or gets cut
