I felt all of those things at once when I saw the news. I didn't have time to soak it in at that moment, and I still haven't quite wrapped my mind around it.
|11 hours 27 min ago||the hamsters||
Small dogs feed the hamsters. Monkeys feed the small dogs. Gorillas feed the monkeys. And robots feed the gorillas...It's a far more efficient system than it sounds.
|13 hours 45 min ago||Calling me a muggle?||
I have powers...political powers.
|13 hours 47 min ago||Hi Don!||
Welcome to the group. We have plenty of coffee in the back, and you can smoke outside on the steps.
|14 hours 35 min ago||Today is great for so many reasons!||
I give many thanks to everyone who helped make this happen.
|1 day 12 hours ago||I love your last sentence||
|2 days 2 hours ago||In the only response I've received from him...||
...he quoted the entirety of Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Simple Man" and then signed off with "Keep on Hangin' Loose, Buddy."
|2 days 12 hours ago||Whatever happened...||
...I'm sure the NCAA will handle it with the same wisdom and sense of justice that it always applies.
|2 days 20 hours ago||"All of this unrest is nonsense...||
...and, if you'll excuse me, Marie Antoinette and I have a party to attend."
|3 days 10 hours ago||It sounds like "the emails speak for themselves."||
|3 days 10 hours ago||I understood/understand your skepticism||
But I also kept thinking of certain past presidents (of both parties) who did things in the past that made you say, "What in the world? Was he really dumb enough to do that?"
And then I found the idea that DB authored the emails very plausible.

I will either kiss you or buy you a beer if we ever meet in person. It'll be your choice.
|4 days 6 hours ago||I'm glad Brian kept looking at this||
We have to keep pushing however we can.
|4 days 10 hours ago||He should get over that||
He's 19 (?), and he made a mistake. He will have lived a very good life if that's the worst thing he ever does.
|4 days 12 hours ago||I've said this a couple of times now, but...||
I see it as a transparent motivational tactic. It keeps MSU from having to handle the pressures of being the hunted and keeps a chip on their shoulders. It also makes MSU fans happy. Dantonio knows exactly what he's doing, IMO.
|4 days 12 hours ago||I think it's time we break up||
We just keep misunderstanding each other. And frankly, Michigan needs to work on itself for now. I hope you can understand that this is about us and not you.
|5 days 8 hours ago||excellent||
We have to keep pushing. The wasting of 2015-2017 is staring us in the face.
|5 days 12 hours ago||Fun facts:||
1.) Dantonio is a very smart guy and a great motivator. He's going to find or invent slights to motivate his team until he retires. Michigan's behavior doesn't matter.
2.) MSU won yesterday because they are the better football team.
|5 days 16 hours ago||this is spot on||
My only quibble is that I don't think his age matters. Les Miles strikes me as a guy who will be vigorous 15 years from now.
But anyway, I don't want him either, because of the over-signing (his attack on Gunner Keil was bad too).
|6 days 4 hours ago||Right||
Dantonio will say Michigan doesn't respect MSU no matter what. It motivates his team and pleases his fans. Why would he stop?
|6 days 5 hours ago||Is that a spear?||
Where do you get a spear? Can a stake be a spear? At what point does a sharp stick become a spear? Does the spear-ness of an object depend on who's holding it?
I have a lot of questions.
|6 days 7 hours ago||14-3 felt like 140-3||
I fell asleep at halftime and had to rewind much of the third quarter to see what I'd missed. I wouldn't have done that during a game against a MAC team in the not too distant past.
|6 days 15 hours ago||yep||
I don't understand how anyone could at this point fail to see what Denard - at QB - meant to Michigan. His weren't gifts to ignore, and credit to Coach Hoke that he didn't.
|1 week 10 hours ago||The important difference that I see:||
To an outside coach, an AD sitting in on film study may seem like a form meddling that would be a pain to deal with. And that may make him less likely to want to work with that AD. Whereas hearing that RR let a reporter watch film with him once doesn't have that impact. The new coach could very easily tell Bacon "no" with no problems resulting.
|1 week 12 hours ago||If Nichols told Bacon that story (and I assume he did)...||
...then there is no problem with reporting it. This wasn't something Nichols reported hearing from a third party.
|1 week 13 hours ago||I would be more on board with that if 2011 or 2012 Michigan were||
...playing tomorrow. But this team seems very poorly positioned to take advantage of MSU's weaknesses. I question whether Michigan could play on the road against any top 25 team and not be thumped. My guess, FWIW, is something a lot like last year: 27-6.
I hope you're right, though.
|1 week 13 hours ago||But Coach Rod could have said no to that||
What do you do when your boss wants to sit in?
|1 week 13 hours ago||Thanks for posting||

He liked to say something to the effect of this: You want to avoid at all costs having to stand on a street corner while holding a sign that says "I AM NOT A WHORE."

Brian received this same reply, and his request for help on twitter this morning was an attempt to make an idependent inquiry into the email's legitmacy.
EDIT: Brian's twitter suggests he may not have received a response yet.
