| 3 weeks 15 hours ago | I hate the level of shadiness |
I hate the level of shadiness with apparel companies. I feel for those who need jobs abroad, but there should be more pressure on these companies to either manufacture in the US or pay fair rates overseas. It's evil IMO to pay people less than living wage so you can turn a higher profit, and the sad part is that the teams (pro and college) that do business with these companies turn a blind eye when the price is right unless it blows up in the media. The beast keeps getting fed.... |

Yeah, how terrible for five guys who went through as close to the same thing as this team to be around to support them. If only we bitter fans could prevent the Fab Five from existing..... /s |
| 6 weeks 9 hours ago | I like Barkley and Smith on |
I like Barkley and Smith on TNT for the NBA, but listening to them talk all over each other with mostly terrible points was almost unbearable. Questioning Belein for sitting Burke? He was buying time and they had a lead at half time. Thinking Burke in the game would prevent Hancock from going off like he did as quickly as he did is pure stupidity. I wouldn't be as mad at the officiating if the missed calls weren't so blatant and if they didn't hurt Michigan exponentially worse. Even the missed kick ball hurt Michigan more since McGary picked up a foul moments later. By my count there wasn't just one missed goal tend, there were two. I can't remember anyone saying anything but Morgan had a continuation that was almost as blatant. I don't complain about officials outside of anonymous internet fan board posts, but the refs literally took points off the board. The Trey Burke three pointer foul was bad but it was understandable. All the other calls were some of the worst I've seen. |

| 6 weeks 2 days ago | First, the team looks up to |
First, the team looks up to the Fab Five. Second, if the team was as mentally fragile as some seem to think they wouldn't be playing on Monday night. Third, perception is everything because this team isn't "everything the Fab Five wasn't." Jalen Rose, Chris Webber, Juwan Howard, Jimmy King and Ray Jackson are all grown men who will do what they like. They (minus Webber) have all showed more support for Michigan basketball than some respected football players have done. When former players show up, it gets attention, and when you're the Fab Five it gets more even if they did try to "watch together quietly." Haters need to get over it. Everyone makes mistakes, the Fab Five just did it on the national stage which makes people who haven't accomplished half as much feel the need to impose their false sense of morality on them. Get over it. |
| 6 weeks 2 days ago | I love how people are trying |
I love how people are trying to tell the Fab Five how to act. As if any of those guys could attend the game quietly, especially if they were there at the same time. Like it or not, vacated wins and all the Fab Five did more for the university than any fan. How fair that kids with their background are stripped by the people who made a living off of their backs. |
| 6 weeks 2 days ago | Except we have won something. |
Except we have won something. I get sick of people who say Final Four teams don't win anything, especially Fab Five haters. Bob Knight (an OSU alum who is the basketball Woody) dismissed the Fab Five as having won nothing. While I hope the team wins on Monday night, I'm proud of them regardless. If they lose, it doesn't mean they've won nothing. They certainly have accomplished a great deal, especially since I had my expectations set on a sweet sixteen finish and anything else was gravy. I sure like gravy... |

Mitch announced a vague gameplan with no specifics which everyone does. Plan B was Plan A and it worked well until Kansas made a run and Trey went unconscious. |
| 7 weeks 4 days ago | I thought one of the turning |
I thought one of the turning points in the game was when it looked like Michigan had given up, and Mitch McGary was caught looking at the ball instead of diving after it and Kansas got a hustle bucket out of it. Belein called timeout, and whatever he said it got the team to at least fight back so that Trey magic could occur. Defensively they were suspect for much of the game, but I thought they had a spectacular offensive gameplan to deal with the presence of Withey. |

I can't even read those threads. With the way M lost to Wisconsin and to Indiana in heart breaking fashion, I can only imagine how KU fans feel right now. My bathroom door still has a crack in it from the Indiana game.... |
| 7 weeks 5 days ago | Meh. The closer is the most |
Meh. The closer is the most overrated position in baseball. Managers actually cost their teams games by not having more than one guy available in the 9th IMO. You should have your best reliever pitch in the most critical point of the game and let whoevers hot close the game out with someone else ready in case that pitcher gets into trouble. With that said, I have no doubt Leyland will find the most challenging way possible to get the job done... |
| 8 weeks 1 day ago | Easy for you to say. Brown |
Easy for you to say. Brown uses his shoulder to gain an advantage (the definition of a foul) whether it's a flop or not. Basketball refereeing is a joke at times. The commentators focus on the "charge arc" under the basket, but that arc has made officiating worse. Take the Craft charge call as an example. A lot of time was wasted on where his feet were, but the fact is that he undercut the offensive player. So on the one hand, SDSU's defender had perfect defensive position, gets trucked (whether it was a flop or not is irrelevant) and there is no call. On the other hand I've seen multiple times in this tournament where a defender gets beat off the dribble and a help defender slides under the shooter after he leaves the ground, and he gets a charge. Coaches spend years getting their players to get into good position, and refs constantly reward bad positioning and penalize good positioning. Drama over fundamentals. So if you are trying to be good at basketball, learn from Reggie Miller on how to draw calls. I'm not even hating. He knew refs were tools who played to drama, and he was one of the best at it. |
| 8 weeks 1 day ago | Every year I get into Oberon |
Every year I get into Oberon fights. I like the beer for what it is, and it is one of Bell's most popular because people who aren't into the more aggressive craft beers also like Oberon. I like Founders and Bell's the best out of Michigan, although Michigan is full of great brewing companies. Oberon is a great wheat beer and it is great for its season. I like Hopslam, but I'm not sure that it would be the perfect refreshment on a scorching summer day especially at the price Hopslam goes for. Similarly, I don't drink Oberon in the winter for the most part. To all the Oberon hating snobs, get over it, because it isn't going anywhere since it's the beer that people like from both the Bud Light camp and the more aggressive craft beer loving camp. |

| 11 weeks 6 days ago | This team can score flashy. |
This team can score flashy. Too bad they can't defend or rebound. I can't defend Belein anymore. They don't have to be MSU or OSU great, they just have to be not lazy. They sag off on the ball. They hedge every pick (often poorly) and they are terrible at rotating to shooters. They never pressure or try to cause turnovers. They don't box out. Against the worst team in the fucking conference they play laxadaisical with the ball. Since MSU the effort and improvement has been non-existent. What a joke. |

| 14 weeks 2 days ago | While GR3 might have tired |
While GR3 might have tired legs, I think his lack of production is due to the pace at which Michigan plays. He is at his best at this stage of his basketball career in the open court. The majority of his buckets come from being set up by others. His lack of production is because Michigan is playing tougher teams who take care of the basketball and play tough half court defense. While I'd like to see Michigan press more and force the pace, that's like hoping Brady Hoke wakes up one day and sees the benefits of a no huddle offense. Don't take that comment as saying that Hoke and Belein aren't excellent coaches, but rather that even the greats have imperfections in how they adapt to different personnel. |
| 14 weeks 3 days ago | Give Wisconsin credit for |
Give Wisconsin credit for making lucky shots, but that was some of the most horseshit refereeing I've ever seen. It's not like Michigan wasn't driving to the basket. Everytime a guy would go up you'd see an arm get raked or a guy totally knocking Burke over and it was "play on." What complete bullshit. |
