With all those Edwards…

With all those Edwards videos, can someone explain to me how he got caught from behind against TCU?

Not that it matters anymore. National Champs. But he scores there, wow is it a different game.

We love Coach Hart and…

We love Coach Hart and everything he has done for Michigan! Hope he and his family work their way through these challenges, whatever they may be. Michigan is behind them!

Henderson should get…

Henderson should get selected. Day 2 or 3 pick, I'd think.

Truly.

Very, very well-said.

Truly.

Very, very well-said.

Honestly, the "for cause"…

Honestly, the "for cause" clause, from what I have read, seems eminently reasonable. All he wants is a panel of three people to review the "cause" vice just Warde getting to decide. Given everything that has happened, and what appears to be a likely contentious relationship, it is quite fair.

Give it to him.

I think the worry here is…

I think the worry here is that Minter would be an obvious replacement for MacDonald.

Fine. Doesn't move the…

Fine. Doesn't move the needle.

I mean, if you score a TD…

I mean, if you score a TD immediately, it of course changes the way you feel there.

That said, in your one OT possession, if you go first and kick a FG not knowing that the opponent will score 7 next. You probably would have used that FG down to get the first down. So, yes, it is still advantageous to go second. The crowd helps, yes, but being able to effectively determine how to use your four downs optimally is a key advantage.

Honestly, I love our…

Honestly, I love our approach to NIL, at the moment. Sure, could we spurge to get more higher rated recruits? Maybe. But the Ole Miss situation is a good example of how that backfires. Judkins has been a top tier RB, and he's not being rewarded for his work at his current team. Ole Miss is prioritizing players NOT on their team in recruiting and portal. Reward the guys in your program for their work, and it will make sense to all in the program why they are getting paid and not the younger or less impactful guys. It shows there is a hierarchy and that they'll get theirs if they grind. Seems like the optimal way to maintain culture. Reward performance.

My sources are telling me…

My sources are telling me that it is, indeed, paywalled.

HERE THEY COME! ZOOMING TO MEET OUR THUNDER!

AT 'EM BOYS! GIVE 'ER THE GUN!

Is there any credence to a…

Is there any credence to a counter or check to the tunnel screen to Semaj that has him set up as a screen to bait the CB in towards the LOS, McCarthy pumps, then see Semaj jet on a vertical? Seems the play has already drawn the safety up towards the LOS, too. Should see him wide open.

Either applies here.

Bears…

Either applies here.

Bears QBs being bad is legally recognized and established.

Bears QB is currently bad, thus still popular or fashionable.

Lawyered.

I believe he said he was…

I believe he said he was going to graduate, which I am sure he is primed to do this year.

Quite honestly, getting…

Quite honestly, getting drafted LATE in the first round might be the most preferable option. In that case, you're going to good teams, will get a development year or two, and be set up for success. Avoids the chaos of going to terrible teams, like Bryce Young, or whoever the Bears QB de-jour is. Seahawks could be a great fit, but any team in the 20s could be an ideal scenario.

THIS. 100%.

It is all…

THIS. 100%.

It is all the moment. Once the moment is gone, it doesn't matter. Vacate them all you want. We know the truth. This win cemented it. This win took any oomph from your whines.

Louisville's vacated title doesn't remove the pain of coming up just short. Nah. These wins happened, and they know it. Thus, they are in the denial stages of grief.

I concur, but if Bama wins,…

I concur, but if Bama wins, it is likely both Bama and UGA are in. We'd play one of them, as they won't have the guts to match them up in the first round of the CFP.

I wish this were true, but…

I wish this were true, but the damage is done. Already have Harbaugh suspended. Perception is reality in most cases. The way this has been handled by the media, regardless of the outcome of any investigations, has been a total hatchet job. NCAA will feel it needs to do something, much like the B1G did.

So, even if everything the rest of the way comes out in Michigan's favor. I don't think we'll like the outcome.

As a White Sox fan, I am devastated. He is so good at his job. A true professional. It was a matter of time with how inept the White Sox are, but crushing nonetheless.

I won't do it. This will be…

I won't do it. This will be what cuts me loose. At least this whole ordeal will have given me that.

Another positive: it pushed me to delete Twitter off my phone!

Call me crazy, but if this…

Call me crazy, but if this is true, that is coaching malpractice on our end. One of your coordinators just went to the enemy, and you think he's just going to be honorable and not share what he knows. If they didn't change their signs in 2018 and 2019, much like the complaints about OSU losses due to sign-stealing despite the fact that they "allegedly knew we were stealing signs," it is coaching malpractice.

After one of the B1G coaches…

After one of the B1G coaches meetings, didn't a coach allegedly say signs stealing is worth 10 points?

Okay, give everyone 10 points. What's our record then? Oh, still 9-0? Fuck all the way off.

I keep reading that most of…

I keep reading that most of the skepticism of his 5-star talent is projecting him to the next level due to his height and arm strength (as you mentioned), as well as a perceived lack of mobility to make up for those two. I have not seen any of his game action, but I'd have to imagine he isn't being asked to be that mobile (designed runs or scrambles hardly seem necessary when you are 110-139 passing). Is he being sacked with any frequency? Otherwise, it is hard to see this is a legit criticism of his game action if it is not really required...

It's all strange, but who cares! Hopefully he comes in next year and settles right into being great!

Fair point, but not being…

Fair point, but not being able to close those matches out on 18 was comically bad. Choked on 18 in three straight.

Losing three straight final…

Losing three straight final holes to halve three matches was utterly embarrassing. This team was not ready, and they're going to get routed. Tough look.

<Bane Voice> Take control of your cityyyy.

Brutal. I remember these…

Brutal. I remember these days, well. Watched Under the Lights I from work about 5 miles away from the stadium.

Worked Friday night (7P-7A), hung out with friends then went to a tailgate until I left for work again Saturday night (7P-7A). Thought I was going to die.

The true test of reload not…

The true test of reload not rebuild comes next year. We're returning a lot this year, but will likely lose a TON this next offseason. If they can come out and win 10-11 games next year, even 9 with their schedule, we might be entering the reload era.

Following a legend is a…

Following a legend is a difficult prospect for anyone to walk into, let alone a kicker, who by the position's very nature is almost always high-leverage. Whoever wins the job immediately goes into the season with the weight of a fanbase on their shoulders, and the angst of their own desire to meet those expectations. I hope the first few weeks are enough to let them settle into the job and be themselves, not the follow-on to Money Moody.

Financial planning for…

Financial planning for winning the PowerBall? I spend that shit instantly and without recourse, thank you very much. I own so many properties.

Not OT - and damn, that…

Not OT - and damn, that sucks for the young man. Made some solid contributions last year, and may have been lined up for more.

Best of luck to him in his recovery and finding what's next.

I could see back-to-back…

I could see back-to-back night tilts @Nebraska and @Minnesota. Early season B1G is lower in intrigue, and M @ either of these two could be second-best matchup snagged by NBC (Michigan State @ Iowa on 9/30 and Maryland @ OSU on 10/7).

Herbert, because even with…

Herbert, because even with the best strength and conditioning, without proper roster construction from the coaching staff, the best S&C is meaningless.

Hell yeah! Those are the…

Hell yeah! Those are the games where we nuke teams! (Or foul on a 3 with 10 seconds left and lose in OT). But yeah, when Jett is on, this offense is great! When Jett is off (far more frequent), it is a tough road...

Prepare for 8+ Hero Ball…

Prepare for 8+ Hero Ball shots.

I could definitely get…

I could definitely get behind this. This makes a lot of sense, and would alleviate some of the ball dominance/bad shots. I'm all for getting Jett the open looks. I've just grown tired of the forced shots.

This may be controversial,…

This may be controversial, but I think this team plays better without Jett (referencing your second question). I'd much rather play through Hunter and Kobe (and maybe even Dug!) than Jett at this point. Jett right now is an offensive sink. If he's on watch out, we can beat anyone, but that is a rarity. If he is mediocre or worse, we're losing too many possessions to bad shots. Jett Hero Ball doesn't help this team, and his defensive liabilities are brutal. I'd love for Jett to come back and shore up these shortcomings, but at this moment, I really think this team gels better without Jett on the floor.

The 4-point play to Sandfort…

The 4-point play to Sandfort to let Iowa win, and the CMU loss. All easy flips, and we'd be a 8-9 seed. Ugh.

Absolutely not. Hunter's…

Absolutely not. Hunter's shot was a good shot after fighting for the inbounds pass. Brust's was an ass shot that banked off the glass. Not even in the same ballpark.

When I clicked in, I…

When I clicked in, I immediately thought, "How is Morris being drafted before the NFL draft...?"

That was, uh, not well done by the Panthers...

Happy to have CP back,…

Happy to have CP back, especially from a recruiting front. LBs weren't the strength of the D the last couple of years, but CFP both years Helow was here. Thanks for you service to Michigan!

Bottom line, unless the…

Bottom line, unless the prevailing winds are highly anomalous, the air quality will not be impacted by the train derailment. It would require a very unique meteorological setup to push winds from the SE into Cleveland. And even in that case, it would like be part of a larger storm system that would mix the atmosphere and dilute the effects of the derailment fumes.

Now, standard Cleveland AQ issues are another story...

He is a media personality…

He is a media personality. He is in the content creation business. To anyone in that business, if they want to make money, they HAVE to think their opinion matters more than most. That's how they build their stature and continue to get bigger. Additionally, being controversial only helps that from a interest perspective. Look at clowns like Skip Bayless.

And in his defense on Kansas, they did lose their star QB not long after, which precipitated the tail spin. If Daniels doesn't get hurt, do they beat TCU? If they beat TCU, do we play OSU in the semi? Do we smash them again? An interesting flap of the butterfly's wings...

Does nobody remember how…

Does nobody remember how badly we looked in 2006 against the Ball State Testicles? We almost lost that game, and then came back the next week and played in maybe one of the finest games of this millenium (sad, sad loss). This was that (against a far better opponent), and hopefully we're ready to come back with the fire of 1,000 suns next week.

Go Blue. Beat Ohio.

This game always harkens…

This game always harkens back to one of my favorite football Saturdays at M.

We get into the stadium pretty early. On the edge of the student section in the North Endzone. That season, they routinely gave the tickets in the section next to us to the opponent fanbase. When we get in, some girl is regaining consciousness (with the help of a few people) after passing out in her own vomit (not great). The stadium medics take her out on a seated stretcher, but leave behind her piles of vomit. Stadium employees come by and lay down a ton of that wood dust stuff that always went on vomit. Fans start piling into the stadium, including the PSU folks in the section next to us. Most kind of stand around the wood dust not knowing what it was, but as things get packed, they just start sitting in it. Poor bastards.

In any case, as the game goes on, I think it was after that PSU LB just took the ball from Henne on a run and scored, one of their fans "Shhh" us. Well, Touchdown Manningham happens. The "shhh" guy is walking out dejected, and we all Shhh him back and start chanting "You sat in puke!"

Good times...

Our house got robbed later that night. Not good times.

JJ threw one deep ball. Overthrew Bell by 1 yard, maybe.

I hope Roman is okay, but we have the horses to still stretch the field.
