Anyone know what the Columbus fan reaction was to him in the Michigan gear? I hope he keeps wearing it, but I'd hate for him to get shit for it every night from buckeye fans. He deserves better than that. |

Ya out in the PacNW, cougars and bears are pretty common so you see a lot of information about how to react if you see one. If you go backcountry hiking, keep your kids and dogs close. They are easy prey for a cougar. Also, never ever run. Especially from a cougar. Have you ever seen how a cat acts when something runs away from it? Its game on and you are done for.

| 9 weeks 2 days ago | I have been thinking about |
I have been thinking about this for a while, but if we could ever get to a place in recruiting where we had 100% accurate data on who had what offers, it would be possible to put together some kind of ranking system that is based solely on the quality of offers. Coaches are the best possible evaluators of talent, and that makes offers a better inidication of talent than the opinion of some guru for scout, rivals, etc. You would have to find a way to quantify the "quality" of each offer. But it is something that I am sure someone on here *cough* Mathlete *cough* could probably pull off in a weekend. Just an idea I had. |
| 9 weeks 2 days ago | Brian you could not have been |
Brian you could not have been any more spot on with the Michigan Hockey fans comment. And the thing is, I didn't even realize it until you brought it up. From the Billy Sauer meltdown to the NoDak beatdowns to the Air Force goalie going ham to sitting 3rd row in Xcel last year and watching Louie and Carl with a 2-on-1 in the waning minutes of the game only to lose in OT in the national championship...ugh. Nothing has hurt me like hockey does. And so when the dust settled after the basketball game on Friday, I simply threw my hands in the air and accepted the fact that in sinlge elimination tournaments sometimes shit happens. Sure it sucks, but like you said it does nothing to diminish the regular season and what these guys did. I would under no circumstances trade our Big Ten title for wins over Ohio and USF. Maybe not even over beating UNC, although I doubt that ever could have happened. Making a tourney run is great and at the end of the day it is what college basketball is all about. But for this team and these seniors, a conference title has to mean so much. And our time to run the show in the tournament is still to come. |
| 9 weeks 3 days ago | SPOILER? |
I've heard some VERY interesting things about what will happen in this finale. I won't share any of them here but will give a couple teasers. These are all rumors so don't take any of this too seriously. For those of you who have followed the comics (not me), there may be a location change at the end of the episode that will be familiar too you. There is also rumors of a certain new character from the comics being introduced near the end of tonight's episode. I have also heard that this finale is going to be INTENSE. So....buckle up I guess? Is that only for recruiting? Enjoy! |
