Super early guess at UM/Iowa spread?

Super-early guess at the spread:

UM favored somewhere from 6 to 9 points.  I am guessing 7 points.  Wouldn't be shocked it was 8.

Iowa may have a small lead going into the 2nd half.  UM might be a bit over-confident in the first-half.  Harbaugh and staff, during halftime, screams at the team to come back to earth. Michigan man-handles Iowa in the third and fourth quarters - just like Michigan overwhelmed Ohio State in the third and fourth quarter. UM wins by 10.

Just my much too early guess at the spread, and how the overall game might shake-out.

Your guess at the UM/Iowa spread?

Yeah, we might struggle out of the gate coming off a huge win like this but ultimately Iowa has no offense.  The last game they played (vs Nebraska) they were down 21-6 late in the 3rd quarter before Nebraska collapsed in historic fashion and even then, they only gave up a single offensive touchdown all game to Iowa.

Iowa doesn't even know which QB they want to play with.  We just held the most explosive offense in the country to 27 points.  There's simply no way Iowa can keep up on that side of the ball, so we grind out a gritty win for the title at worst, or blow their doors off at best.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see a 10+ point spread in this game. Iowa looks horrible on paper, and they didn’t play OSU, MSU, or Michigan in the regular season. Their best win is PSU at home, and only because Clifford got knocked out.

I see Michigan -10 and growing to -12 before kick. Simply too much momentum for the Wolverines in this one. Even if we play down for a half, Iowa doesn’t have the offensive personnel to take advantage. Famous last words I know.

When Iowa plays any team, but ESPECIALLY a more talented team, they feast off of their offensive mistakes, and yes, to their credit, their zone D is schemed to force the most INTs possible. So I believe if we simply execute at a decent and focused level, and don’t make any turnover mistakes, we win by at least the Vegas line. Michigan has to stay focused and not act as if they’ve already arrived or be distracted by an emotional win the week prior. But from what it sounds, the team has seen themselves as NC contenders all year and OSU was their biggest hurdle to get there, but their minds have been on a National Championship all year. We can do this!!! Go Blue!!!!

I don’t think Iowa will have an answer for our skill players. When we bring in JJ and have All, Corum and Edwards out there, that’s hard to stop. Cade will be his usual calm and purposeful self and will move the ball. Our defense will feast on them. Unless we play poorly or are mentally withdrawn I think we win this by 17+

I really don't see this team having a letdown, they know they have not won the conference yet regardless of how amazing this win felt. Should not be an issue getting this team refocused on that and quite honestly having the mindset of if they get into the playoff who the hell knows what the limit is if the team we saw on Saturday shows up. I think all the players know how disappointing it would be to beat OSU and not win the conference, so again I just can not see a letdown being very likely.

emotional letdown after such an epic game is a real consideration.  we are obviously the favorite, but the guys need to put yesterday's game in a vacuum for a bit and get to work on this one.  much easier said than done.  guessing there might be a few hangovers amongst our wolverines today.

Hutch is going to do what he is going to do. No stopping him now. I think he is going to have another statement game on his way to NY. Iowa does not have the OL to stand up to Hutch. OSU was the best OL we would have faced all year until playoffs. So, I expect this to be won more by the defense than by the offense as Iowa is weak there and we have two excellent DEs.

Go Hutch! Go Ojabo! Go Blue!
