The Bears are a trash organization when it comes to QBs. That's probably the worst possible situation. 29 starting QBs since 2000, not one has passed for 4000 yards.
The market will correct itself when these teams dont live up to hype. Already saw it with Texas A&M.
Money doesnt buy championships, the right coaches, the right players, and the right culture win championships.
This reminds me of a company in my industry that's come about in the last few years. It's a very expensive and costly business to enter and the guy that started it has money to throw around for sure. They've bought all kinds of brand new equipment, poached a bunch of people from other companies around the area throwing insane salary numbers at them, and yet the whole place is a monkey rodeo and most of these people dont stay more than 6 months.
I was confused why he needed a scholarship in the first place and definitely am now after he's played multiple years. Juwan made millions of dollars in the NBA...why is his kid not coming on as a walk on? Stephen Izzo didnt have a scholarship.
To be fair the amount of money MDOT is putting into major highway repairs is finally up to par, problem is that funding is set to plummet after this year.
The city of AA sure doesnt spend well on repaving. Theyre really good about fixing uneven sidewalk squares and taking away lane space for bike lanes though 🙄
That picture was due to the shitty new policy where they herded students in like cattle which took forever for them to get everyone in. It never got full but it ended up way better than that picture. I think it was Akron in 2013.
Let's be honest, even when Beilein was here and had some of his best teams the place wasnt always sold out. Michigan is not a hoops crazy program, never has been and probably never will be. The 2nd most popular Michigan sport is offseason football.
Also a lot of lower bowl tickets are bought and go unused or resold because they jacked up the prices when they renovated Crisler, and rich folks and companies bought them.
None of the four NBA stars coaching their alma maters (Hardaway, Ewing, Howard, and Woodson) are working out. Maybe Hardaway sort of, but probably not nearly as expected.
When they started out exclusively on NBC of course they got watched, they were still great every year and were playing some of the biggest regular season games to date in #1 vs #2 matchups against Miami and FSU.
But they have only here and there been that good since, and now with every game on some sort of network or streaming they're not getting all the eyeballs they once did.
They're not. They lose the majority of the big games they play regular season or postseason (they havent beaten OSU since the 1930s). They've hitched their wagon to playing ACC teams every year so sometimes they'll get Clemson or FSU but not always + Boston College, Navy and Stanford, and they dont ever play a home game after Thanksgiving so their rivalry week game is a dud a lot unless they happen to get USC that week.
There's way better places to play as far as viewers.
I think Michigan/OSU would produce higher numbers. I dont think ND has the following like they used to. Even the ND/OSU game didnt get the viewers I expected.
"John Beilein ain't walking through those doors". Okay? We didnt exactly know John Beilein would take us to two national title games when we hired him. Unless you're hiring a coach that's already been to final fours at another school every hire is a taking a chance.
There needs to be a consensus on what to do with conference championship games. Theyre useless now as conferences have gotten so big they match up the top two teams, and usually those two teams have played each other already.
So the conference champ gets a bye in the playoff...but they just played an extra game that a first round team didnt...so is it really a bye?
Good lord, I was only two at the time, but wow, I honestly never went back and looked at the results from that season. Put up 3 points against Purdue after putting up 45 on MSU the previous week and 44 against Minnesota the week before...just...wow. Imagine the internet meltdown if something like that happened in this day and age.
Even he's getting irritating, he threw a hissy fit when the refs called offensive offsides on the Chiefs when they were CLEARLY offsides and have been doing it ALL YEAR.
Rot in hell? Ehhh a little harsh. Bridges permanently burned? Probably. Coaching is one thing, there's not a lot of coaching jobs out there and I couldnt blame Joe Bolden for coaching at OSU (Mattison is another story, fuck him). But there are over 130 other FBS schools he could have walked on at.

Larry Johnson Sr? Eh, guy is 72. 10 years ago was probably best DL coach in college football
Now
Thanks for trying coach, just didnt work out.
Doesnt take away from his accomplishments as a player.
But what if Hoke wins out?
Bullshit, OSU has churned out running back after running back. Henderson is also really really good and appears they dont know how to use him.
The Bears have done an awful job at helping Justin Fields the last 3 years, what makes you think anything would change with JJ
The Seahawks getting to sit behind Geno Smith for a year and then throw to Smith-Njigba is a pretty good option as well.

I know people love to say Michigan wins that game without the block, but fail to remember we were still losing when it happened.
Is it football season yet
I'll always remember him at Tennessee for avoiding those Ole Miss defenders by running out of bounds...WITH NO TIME LEFT ON THE CLOCK.
Has a giant trade like that ever ended up benefiting the team that gave up everything? I honestly cant think of one that did.
Probably will go down as one of the worst trades in league history
Mike McDonald should have won that Broyles award
Mike McDonald should have won that Broyles award
I dont know whats going on here.

Things I hate about the NFL:
1. Need two feet in bounds for a catch
2. clock moves when moving the chains
3. Random stoppage of play at 2 minutes
The best receiver in the NFL and the Chiefs two years ago were like nah, we're good. Two Super Bowls later...

Ugh
Hey the Big Boy statue is timeless. But I feel like they could have given him a better looking painted outfit.

Except playing in the conference championship game is an extra game a first round playoff team isnt playing.

It was pretty cool when Tai Streets did it

I'd love for him to come here, but I think it's fair to say UConn is one of the 10-15 jobs that are better than Michigan.
It's about that time of year where Purdue starts to let everyone down. Do. not. bet. on. them. in. the. tournament.
Theyre in full fledged denial at this point like the Hoke defenders
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Rico himself is pretty good about hot takes that eventually turn cold. Valenti is usually pretty good his schtick is just being negative.
I miss when every big game was on ABC (not fucking ESPN on ABC either)
Even he's getting irritating, he threw a hissy fit when the refs called offensive offsides on the Chiefs when they were CLEARLY offsides and have been doing it ALL YEAR.

Unfortunately a huge missed opportunity for the Lions similar to Michigan against TCU, I hope they can avenge it next year like Michigan too.
NFL gets what it wanted
He had the ball and was reaching for the first...not even a question
Bailed out!
What an absolute fail of a drive for SF
