Not only that, Leipold will be 60 next season. I don’t think he’s gonna want to start another ground up rebuild just to retire a couple years later.
I think he’s either staying at Kansas, where he can win 8+ consistently in the new Big 12 or he’ll take a higher profile job that has the talent in place for a quick turnaround. A&M or Florida for example.

i am not very bright and have poor listening skills, but I think PN could be a good hire for them, a guy who fits like Shiano at Rutgers. I like Shiano at Rutgers making them quasi-relevant again hopefully. Same for Fleck at Minnesota. I say could not would because i thought the same thing about Cryst. And Frost.

Why would Leipold take a bad job with no upside? Again, if I'm MSU I'd go for either an up-and-coming MAC guy or maybe an older coach looking for another payday. No coach with options is going to walk into that spot right now unless you just pay him thru the nose and even then he might just wait. I mean, A&M is probably going to open up, Iowa might open up, there are better options out there.
