04/14/2018 - 12:08pm Was it health that year

Or was he suspended for the marijuana? Was thinking he was the one they tested positive during the tournament. It all runs together now

04/14/2018 - 11:30am McGary was forced out with the bs suspension

With him potentially the next year we would have been rocking after that elite 8 appearance. I know we kept some of them one more year but I was more referring to the year after our title runs. Any time you can keep them is great, just would be nice to finally stare at a squad and say “now that our star(s) are returning we are a def title favorite”. I don’t blame any of them though.

04/14/2018 - 11:04am Congrats to Moe

But dang this stuff stinks as a Michigan basketball fan. Two times to the title game and we always lose key pieces that would assure us as a title favorite. Don’t blame the kid at all but as a fan I wish just one time we could keep the Burke, Hardaway, Wilson or Wagner types that would make us the title favorite for the next year. Could you imagine this team with Moe next year to go with improvements and incoming talent? I’m just waiting on Matthews to go now, which would be par for the course with hoops. God love Beilein for being so transparent and honest with these kids as opposed to the Izzo and Roy Williams of the works who convince one and dones to stay 2-3 years.

03/31/2018 - 10:51pm Nova is shooting out of their minds

And Kansas could hav easily gotten back into this if they us any sort of discipline at all. They gotnit down to 14 and started jacking threes and giving up wide open shots again. How they are a 1 seed is beyond me

03/31/2018 - 2:18pm Kevin Ware

I knew we were done as soon as he broke his leg in the elite 8 and everyone was feeling so sorry for him and Louisville. Pitino was still a darling then. The media and staff were trying to figure out where they would put him IF they happened to win the game, so he could be available for pictures. That’s all they talked about before our game. It’s a lot like Sister Jean. I’m legit worried about officiating tonight. When you are evenly matched at this stage, officials can change a game easily.

03/29/2018 - 7:22pm Yet the AP are idiots

And pick a coach who’s number one seed team lost to a 16 seed for the first time in history.

03/27/2018 - 9:53pm Weren’t there a couple looking to leave?

looks like there’s consistent early contributions from young players. Any thoughts on who?

03/25/2018 - 7:44pm Calipari and a few others

Are right there with him

03/25/2018 - 7:43pm Huh?!?

You serious, Clark?

03/20/2018 - 7:02pm Holy Cow!

That’s some major shit, Feldman!!!

03/20/2018 - 2:04pm Offense?

What kind does he run? Similar to John’s?

03/18/2018 - 1:35am I think it’s hilarious

He was talking shit all night and shushing the crowd. Poole should get to cut his man bun off his head

03/07/2018 - 9:31pm Izzo won’t answer questions about rape allegations

But he will talk about Maar’s crotch? Sicko!

02/24/2018 - 10:46pm I agree. All you have to do is look at recruiting

the last few years and it’s getting just like the SEC in football. Vandy getting top 10 talent. Teams like Auburn and LSU getting top players in the country. I’ll give you UK and Florida but the rest have been weak for years.

02/24/2018 - 10:43pm My opinion is that

The parity stems all across the country. For example, conferences that used to have 1 team every year can now legitimately have 2-3. You see more of those now. If you look at the last several years, the at large selections are getting more difficult. I’d rather see a top end team from a decent conference in there as opposed to the 8-9th place team in a power 5 that is 8-10 in their conference. Look at Nebraska, prob won’t make it in and they are a good team. Perception has been that the SEC is great across the board and the Bigten is down.

02/24/2018 - 10:35pm Ever since ESPN got in bed with the SEC

They have been trying to hype them in basketball too. It’s all BS! I honestly don’t think any conference should have 8-10 teams in a tourney. Basketball has too much parity these days to have that many from any conference imo.

02/24/2018 - 4:46pm All these players and programs

Will make it through the tourney and some cheating team will win the title. After star players leave for the NBA, the FBI and NCAA will hit some teams and take away another national title. For those that play the right way, once again it won’t matter, because you still won’t be the champion. Business as usual

02/18/2018 - 6:42pm That’s whats wonderful about playing a team once

A season. Times like this is really can come back and haunt you. Almost like playing a second round bye. Not whole lot of difference in two or three games imo.

02/17/2018 - 4:00pm Can they at least break their hands

Slapping the stupid floor. Absolutely ignorant and annoying as fluck

02/17/2018 - 3:58pm It has to be certain coaches

That make their kids so punchable. Izzo is one of those coaches that always have these kids that you would like to punch in the face. Coach K and Duke is another one.

02/13/2018 - 9:32pm Maybe on the bench

But not at all once Poole is on the court

02/13/2018 - 9:22pm Bambi on Ice

Was thinking this was a term he referred to when he was talking about Matthews, not Poole

02/07/2018 - 9:55pm He was for awhile there

But he’s regressed towards his mean here lately. The inability to hit free throws is what baffles me about him. Well, that and Matthews lack of dribbling skills. How do you get to this level and handle the ball so poorly?

02/07/2018 - 9:30pm I got myself overly hyped

After the MSU game and I don’t think this team is nearly that great. They have moments where they look really good but most of the time they are just a decent team. Still some pieces missing. Next year will be really special tho.

02/07/2018 - 8:50pm Could they not get into

MSU? Seems like they take plenty of these marginal qualifiers

02/04/2018 - 7:46pm NE line is as bad

as Michigan’s. Brady gets about 3 seconds to throw the ball

02/01/2018 - 10:11pm Why wait til last second to shoot

And not leave time to foul?

02/01/2018 - 9:56pm 4th quarter meltdowns

You say? You’d think we’d be used to that with some Michigan sports

01/28/2018 - 6:09pm I was kind of doing that

But it serves no purpose. It’s like trying to figure out why we are going after certain position groups in recruiting and not others. You aren’t going to get that detailed info. I’m certain that Harbaugh knows his offense stunk this year but what I’m not certain of is how he intends to fix that. We’ve all read about this paradigm shift in recruiting philosophy. Why though? Hopefully 2018 will answer a lot of the questions.

01/28/2018 - 4:27pm I’m at the point

Where I’m just going to sit back and see what 2018 brings. Harbaugh knows the stakes. He knows how important this year is going to be. He apparently chose to keep Drevno and Pep and it has absolutely nothing to do with money. We all know we could have overcame that obstacle if he wanted us to. We have one more coach coming in and have no idea who that will be or what coaches will coach what positions. Harbaugh is the coach we all longed for and I’m not ready to shove him out the door after one horrible season. I have no idea what this season will bring but I’m at the point that sitting around and questioning everything with zero information does nothing but bring misery. That doesn’t mean I don’t have my questions on our direction offensively but I have no way of getting answers. If 2018 goes well, everyone will look at it like we had one bad season. If 2018 doesn’t go well, then it will be apparent Harbaugh didn’t make the decisions to right the ship. I always said RR needed four years and said same about Hoke. You have enough of your people at that point to be successful. It’s up to the coaches. I’m just gonna sit back and watch with wonder and curiosity. Let’s see how 2018 plays out...

01/27/2018 - 11:04pm Otis Reese

How is he going to visit LSU and Clemson before signing day if there is only one more weekend left before NSD?

01/25/2018 - 9:42pm What I really Love

Is that the offense was what was effed up and we still have no direction or solution to that this offseason. With the damm Fort, you don’t even know who was going to end up coaching what anyway. No wonder our recruiting has tanked.

01/25/2018 - 9:34pm Talking about from the beginning.

I said he hasn’t lived up to the hype yet. He’s still considered a long term threat to them or they wouldn’t have put as much constant worry into what his every move was the first two years. Saban knows football well and knows what a magnetic personality like Harbaugh can do if he gets it going. Like I said, it’s up to Harbaugh at this point

01/25/2018 - 9:21pm Harbaugh was a threat to the SEC

From day 1. The SEC coaches have been on him since he came back to college. It’s up to Harbaugh at this point to rectify this. Saban is whipping his Johnson out to prove it’s bigger than Jim’s. He hasn’t lived up to the billing just yet but there’s a reason why the SEC coaches and talking heads always have Harbaugh in their planning. I hope it turns out well.

01/21/2018 - 9:44am Frey had great success

Before coming back here last year as well and that turned out to be a mistake pairing him with Drevno.

01/17/2018 - 9:08pm Purdue

Is shooting 62-128 from three their last 5 games. That’s crazy as a team. Not sure the hot shooting against us was such an outlier or luck. Considering we stayed with them until the calls at the end, we can contend with anyone.

01/15/2018 - 9:55pm With all the talent coming in next year

To combine with this talent, this is the part I’m most worried about. Where’s the upper classmen leadership gonna come from? Simpson and Matthews only juniors on the team and neither can afford to be on the court at the end.

01/15/2018 - 9:47pm Saban with the double birds for the NCAA

He’s basically saying “I’ll hire whatever cheater I want and we will continue to win championships for the $EC and youll like it”

01/14/2018 - 12:44am I’m almost with you on Matthews

Now that I think more about it. If Wagner leaves we can still play Teske and when he’s out we could play a bigger lineup across the board with Livers, Johns and Iggy on the inside. Maybe Castleton or Davis fill in. Without Matthews and MAAR we are asking an awful lot of freshman to score from the wing minus Poole. I think it may be better for Matthews to come back if I had the choice between the two.

01/13/2018 - 10:40pm The moment that kid broke his leg and became the story

I knew it wasn’t going to end well for us going into the final. You just knew they wanted to get that kid his “one shining moment”. Pitino was still a darling at that time too.

01/13/2018 - 8:08pm No need for him to visit Georgia

He’s been there a bunch this season. I know officials are different but that’d be a bad sign if he officials there too. Only four weekends until NSD.

01/13/2018 - 8:05pm Matthews or Wagner?

If you got to choose one of them to come back, which one would it be and why? I would choose Wagner because it gives Castleton another year to get ready and allows Teske to continue to get better. I’m still not certain about Davis and his future. As far as Matthews, I like him but I could see plenty of other talent offsetting his departure. Matthews really needs to get quicker with his moves and work on his dribbling. He takes these long, deliberate steps towards the basket and it often lets either his defender or another to catch up. I know it’s a product of not playing much the last few years but he makes himself smaller a lot of times on his drives then he has to. I’d be happy to have both back and figure it out!

01/12/2018 - 7:03pm Better hope Patterson

Is eligible and we adapt the offense to fit him or yes we are screwed. When you keep the same coaches it usually means you are going to run the same shit

01/12/2018 - 6:41pm Wonderful!

So we have Pep out recruiting when everyone wants him gone and he’s entertaining returning to the NFL but we can’t finalize a deal for Partridge and get our best recruiter out there? Not to mention we are offering someone we should have offered quite a while ago. With the last few weeks of recruiting upon us I just can’t help but shake my head at what’s going on. The offense needed a major overhaul, not bring in a wr coach and a tight end coach and jack with the defensive side of the ball

01/11/2018 - 11:02pm Who I see in offensive staff spots

Pass game coordinator/ wr’s coach—Enos
Running game coordinator/ol coach—Drevno
Tight ends coach—Sherrone Moore
Running backs—Jay Harbaugh

If Pep stays he will be pass game coordinator and Enos will be wr’s coach. Other spot? RB coach and move Jay to special teams? Another full time qb coach?

01/11/2018 - 9:14pm Sherrone Moore

Is heading to Michigan according to twitter

01/10/2018 - 9:10pm Interior dline

For one. We also have no idea what our offensive line will look like in two years. Not like we’ve knocked it out of the park on either side of the line. You don’t go a recruiting cycle with no defensive tackles and that’s where we are at right now.

01/10/2018 - 7:16pm Don’t forget

Vincent Gray, our 14th cornerback

01/10/2018 - 1:46pm Trenches

Gotta win in the trenches and we are failing on both sides with this class. There are some glaring holes that we are going to have to rely on 2019 freshmen to compete right out of the gate.

01/10/2018 - 1:44pm Unfortunately the 2019

Class will be mostly wrapped before we are showing great results in 2018. We were recruiting 2019 kids with this season. Otis Reese committed in 2016 because we were good then. We will have to recruit really strongly to get ourselves out of this hole in 2019 and I’m not talking about kids committed to us now. Wouldn’t take long before Hinton gets interested in Georgia and his brother could too and that would finalize it. We could keep kids if we have a good season next year but the season won’t affect uncommitted kids that aren’t truly already wanting to go here.
