I wonder how Miah Harbaugh thinks of this hire...

😎

As I mentioned below, as far as I know, Ace is out indefinitely so his typical posts (ie gifs) have been lacking.

Brian is down a man (ie Ace). Cut him some slack.

09/19/2018 - 1:18pm Keep in mind, Eye of the…

Keep in mind, Eye of the Tiger is from Rocky III, not Rocky IV.  So should be no problem to play it.

09/19/2018 - 1:17pm It's the eye of the Husker,…

It's the eye of the Husker, it's the thrill of the game
Risin' up to the challenge of our rival
And the last known surviving QB will not come up lame
And were watchin' us all with the eye of the Husker

09/18/2018 - 3:52pm He was referring to some of…

He was referring to some of the late Hoke/early Harbaugh teams.   I’m not sure if that means anything, but I do remember us getting bigger guys on the OL when Harbaugh came in.

When he mentioned that to me, I remember when cris Carter said something to that effect right before The Game several years ago.

09/18/2018 - 3:44pm Yea. I get it. I actually…

Yea. I get it. I actually thought about not posting it (I met the guy last week and wanted the post it right away).  As mentioned, lots of football guys in ortho, including

-our very own Jarrett Irons

-the COO of Stryker, Tim Scannel, played at ND

- Brian Rattigan, former ND linebacker, is an ortho surgeon

- Zack Kustoc (Former NW QB) is/was a Medtronic spine rep.

And this is just the tip of iceberg.

09/11/2018 - 10:18am One thing I'll add to this…

One thing I'll add to this thread.  A lot of focus on the twin towers when it comes to 911.  The memorial and museum where the twin towers once stood is something everyone needs to experience.  The museum alone is probably the best museum I've ever been to.

With that said, the memorial site at Shanksville PA often gets overshadowed.  They did a great job with the memorial site.  Its well worth the visit.

I’m probably only taking her for a quarter and walk her around the concourse a little then call it a day.

09/06/2018 - 9:03am As a corrallary to this…

As a corrallary to this topic, I’m taking my 18 month old daughter. (Her first game!). I’m getting some flack from folks in that she’s too young and that it will be too loud for her.

Anyone taken their 18 month old? Any issues? Any suggestions?

Shea. You shouldn’t be wasting your time on here. Focus on the game!

I became a first time dad 18 months ago and it is the most fulfilling experience of my life (so far).

The only bit of advice I can give is that do not follow anyone else’s advice. I know it sounds like a circular argument, but you really need to figure stuff out on you own. Humans have been doing it for thousands of years without “advice”.

As an example, friends swore by the book “Babywise”. So I got it, and it was worthless for my baby. I just had to “listen” to my baby and learn what do to naturally.

Good luck!

08/27/2018 - 11:35am So...you said it was a…

So...you said it was a lineman, yet several people on this thread are claiming it's Casey Hughes, who is not a lineman.  Is it a correct assumption that the player to whom you are referring is NOT Casey Hughes?

Asking for a friend :)

08/24/2018 - 10:03am Thanks Seth.  Just as I…

Thanks Seth.  Just as I thought...really no support from anyone non-OSU.

When I talk to some of my OSU friends/family, they all come in with strong support of Urban Meyer/OSU (surprise, surprise).  They try to turn it on me and say that I think the punishment is a sham because I'm a biased Michigan fan.  Well OK then.  So I like to point out that all non-biased folks think its sham.  This isn't a Michigan vs OSU thing...this is an OSU vs everyone else thing.

08/24/2018 - 8:52am I asked this on another…

I asked this on another thread but thought I’d put it here.

Is there any non-OSU source that supports Urban Meyer and the decision/approach by OSU?

08/24/2018 - 8:29am General question.

General question.

Has anyone non-OSU come to the defense of Urban Meyer and/or Gene Smith?

I gotta say. Despite all the boo-urns about the new mgoblog site layout, I still love this place.

I saw “chord” in the title of this thread and  knew you guys would deliver. Bravo people!

Ok. Then I stand corrected. Carry on!

08/04/2018 - 6:56pm I have no problem with the…

I have no problem with the concept or process of requesting this type of information, so I’m not really harshing on what you did.

Just that, many people are doing this anyway. Many people who’s job is to do so.  I assume you are requesting it for your own amusement, without much thought of what do to if you ever did get the info. And in the context of you being a Michigan fan, it just comes off a bit excessive. Just my opinion, I have nothing really wrong with it.

Good luck, Ace!  The place won't be the same without you, but you have to do what you have to do.

We'll be thinking of you...and still eagerly awaiting for the tattoo your promised (or did I miss that?)

Put me in the camp that nothing will happen, and unfortunately so.

With that said, this COULD (and I emphasize COULD) distract the team this season.  That's probably it.

So...over 60 posts in and not one bit of insider info?  Just food and snark posts?

the more things change, the more things stay the same.

Well....

...my wife is an immigrant from South America.  Many of my in-laws still live there and they all want to move to the United States for a better life.  Maybe they can switch citizenship with you?  :)

But overall, having been all over South America, there are really only a handful of places that even come close to the amenities and quality of life we have here in US.  Just my opinion.

07/23/2018 - 10:01am Thanks.

Thanks.

If I was to make an educated guess (and keep in mind that its still just a guess), that this has to do with some rampant PED use at MSU.  We've all talked about it in the past, I have a couple insider folks at Fort Schem that have stated it to me before.  So this might fit since its nothing new.

07/21/2018 - 4:28pm Yep. I agree. I was there…

Yep. I agree. I was there over Memorial Day. It’s a shame since the beer was so good. They put a particular emphasis on the quality of beer (over the quality of food), which was pretty much the opposite of grizzly peak at the time. The marketing positioning worked very well.

One other tip: you’re not cooking meth, so you don’t have to be exact with all your ingredients. More than anything, keep things clean.

07/21/2018 - 2:29pm Quick unrelated question. Do…

Quick unrelated question. Do you live and/or work I Saugatuck?  I’d love to move there, but there doesn’t seem to be much work around there.

We used to have a vacation home there when I was a kid. Great place.

07/21/2018 - 12:54pm I used to regularly home…

I used to regularly home brew until I had a child.  In Chicago, there are several brew clubs that have all the equipment and storage you need, you just bring the ingredients and the hard work.  Its very convenient and well worth it.  With that said, I guess its technically not home brewing since I didn't brew it in my home, but it captures the essence at least.

Anyway, I prefer to brew lagers.  They require a little more finesse and care, and I prefer the taste.  Speaking of clones, we had a guy at my brew club attempt to brew a Steele Reserve clone.  These types of "adjunct lagers" are highly engineered and controlled.  The brewer was fascinated by the process of brewing the clone and strangely grew an appreciation for Steele Reserve.  It was kinda hilarious watching him through the brew.  And it tasted pretty darn close to the real thing!

Lastly, my first job in college was at Arbor Brewing Company.  They were open for only a year at this point, so Matt G (the owner) was still brewing.  The beer was much better then as the subsequent master brewers couldn't maintain the quality.

I went to Tubbys all the time.  That corner was convenient if you wanted a quick bite on your way some where.

No coffee for JB!

But seriously, JB was never a good closer. I was hoping the latest success would change that.

I feel really good about the guard position, DJ Carton or not.

06/01/2018 - 3:30pm At first I thought this said “all black teams”

My next reaction was that the team would include no grit, no lunch pails, no gym rats, etc.

Then I reread it.

05/18/2018 - 3:00pm You mean like this?

05/17/2018 - 3:35pm Go to hedonism in Jamaica.

Don’t ask questions, just go. You’ll thank me later.

05/16/2018 - 10:35pm Are you sure you’re not Survivor

Or at least the surviving members of Survivor. If so, then your username would really check out.

05/14/2018 - 9:46pm Perhaps through the eyes of the tech worker

But with regards to being a tourist, which is what the OP is and why the OP posted this, Munich is far and away better for a tourist.

Ive been to Berlin several times (going back there in August this year). I lived in Europe as a child and saw Berlin pre-wall collapse. I got to see checkpoint Charlie. I’ve see Berlin grow since. Like Munich, Berlin was decimated because of the war. Munich did a much better job rebuilding recapturing it’s original charm. Although, as mentioned in another post, I think Munich could have done a better job doing so.

05/14/2018 - 6:42pm You must have German family/ancestors from the north

Because I rarely (if ever) hear people prefer Berlin over Munich.
