These days, I find myself clicking on these threads for snarky comments regarding the thread title.

11/10/2018 - 10:44pm We are a run first offense,…

We are a run first offense, and we are quite good at running the ball. This means we don’t throw it like the NDs and OSUs of the world.

11/10/2018 - 7:05pm But what about Martellus?…

But what about Martellus? Was he playing?

11/08/2018 - 12:03pm I will say as a general…

I will say as a general comment. My immediate family, particularly my mom, much prefer to go out for Thanksgiving dinner (or lunch?). While it takes some away from the charm of cooking things up, its far more convenient.  It gives us more time together to hang out with family. So I’m somewhat envious of you.

Unfortunately for me, my extended family decided to have a litter of children so we are pressured to do something big with lots of family members. Often times in Ohio. Ugh!

edit: “litter” not “liter”

I hope the reason for divorce II is the woman in your avatar.  Or else, prepare for divorce III

Some of the most successful people I know cheat on their husbands.

Dont confuse correlation with causation.

This is not really an off-night. This is a carry over from last season.

11/07/2018 - 6:49am We won (comfortably?) so no…

We won (comfortably?) so no complaints. But that was UGLY. Honestly, I get that JB always coaches up teams, but this may be a different situation. This is a straight up horrible shooting team, which is not something that can be “taught” or fixed in a half season.

Ha! I did the same thing! I thought it was a joke or something. You know, with the “no politics” rule and everything.

Well, it’s their blog, so I’m not really complaining. But I do hope they do a regular podcast full of frothy football bits soon.

11/05/2018 - 7:38am Is there no football talk in…

Is there no football talk in this podcast? Seriously?!

11/04/2018 - 8:13am My one minor quibble, is…

My one minor quibble, is that the Dline looked gassed in the middle of the 3rd/early forth. They weren’t getting good push and the PSU oline was protecting the QB really well. Did anyone else notice that?

10/31/2018 - 10:26pm Then this is a rare case…

Then this is a rare case where you name most certainly does NOT check out.

10/31/2018 - 8:32pm I’m a middle aged male…

I’m a middle aged male. Season ticket holder, so I go to a lot of games. I almost never miss watching a game on tv live  (unless something like a wedding gets in the way...which happened this year for the second time ever)

With that said, my wife is a Hispanic immigrant and certainly does not understand my fandom, or the general sports fandom of Americans.  I take her to games when the weather is nice.

10/30/2018 - 2:36pm Honestly, not sure what to…

Honestly, not sure what to expect from this team, being that this is the least “Bielein-like”.  I foresee a good, but frustrating, season.

Deerhunter is my favorite.

Also don’t forget he was an OSU commit at one point. He committed right after OSU won the NC and was the #1 RB in that recruiting class at that time.

I remember getting him from OSU was a real coup, but I was obviously wrong.

Dear lord Wisconsin! That’s some serious yakety sax!

10/26/2018 - 1:59pm I may be in the minority…

I may be in the minority here, but don’t we want MSU to win out? It would mean they stay in the top 25 and make our win look that much better.

Thanks for the clarification!  Much appreciated!

10/24/2018 - 5:19pm I'm by no means an expert,…

I'm by no means an expert, but I had no clue we scrapped the spread 'n' shred in 2010. I could have sworn it was the basis for our offense that year.

10/04/2018 - 6:26am No need to worry. Hip (and…

No need to worry. Hip (and knee) replacement and some of the most common surgeries in the world.  So much so that the processes and surgical techniques are so common and standardized that surgeons can crank these surgeries out quickly/efficiently and move on to the next replacement surgery, almost like an assembly line.

They have robotics now in these cases that make it so easy to do (the robot does 80% of the work). I swear I could do a knee replacement with 6 months of training on the Stryker robot, and I’m not a doctor.

09/30/2018 - 4:50pm Ok upon my further review,…

Ok upon my further review, this didn’t look as bad as it did yesterday.

1. I thought Patterson played really well, using his feet more as part of his arsenal. I can really see this becoming a staple in our offense going forward.

2. The OL also played well, giving Patterson lots of time and giving the holes Higdon needed.

Am I crazy?

Been to wash u several times. Obviously fantastic school academically. Being the best college campus in the US seems...high.

09/28/2018 - 11:19am Um. I fully understand the…

Um. I fully understand the benefit of hindsight. Perhaps your reading comprehension is lacking.

You see, let me lecture you on this topic. With the benefit of hindsight, you have 2 general paths you can take after the Nebraska game:

1. Nebraska is butt, we are still a good (not great) team, but nothing to really take away from this game; or

2. Nebraska is still sneaky good, and the result of the game is that we are an elite team coming into their own who made Nebraska look like butt.

(I understand there is some nuance between the choices)

Based on the podcast, Brian and crew (with hindsight) lean way too much on path #1 and don’t really consider path #2. That’s my compliant.

09/28/2018 - 8:36am Can anyone give the cliff…

Can anyone give the cliff notes what was discussed?

09/28/2018 - 8:21am Ok. Small complaint. I…

Ok. Small complaint. I recall sometime last week before the Nebraska game, the mGoCrew thought Nebraska is a team that Michigan would have difficulty against. I believe the term was “sneaky good”. Now, Nebraska is shit and we can’t take much away from the game?  So which is it? Is Nebraska “sneaky good” or not?

I understand the benefit of hindsight, but I think maybe (just maybe) we are an elite team about to come into its own. As oppose to opponent being crap.

Come on.  You're not using the proper parlance of our time.  It's "cis school" and "trans school"

Too soon?

09/24/2018 - 8:46am Nothing wrong with your line…

Nothing wrong with your line of thinking. I’m just disagreeing with those who rationalize Tiger’s past transgressions as a “a slip up” “a simple mistake” “other people do it too” etc.

its like the using the “everyone murders” excuse

09/24/2018 - 8:37am I don’t hate Tiger. I just…

I don’t hate Tiger. I just think he’s a scumbag. I also think a lot of actors and musicians are scumbags that I can appreciate their performance.

09/23/2018 - 11:23pm Accordingly to reports, he…

Accordingly to reports, he cheated on his wife with almost 100 different women.  This wasn't a case where Tiger slipped up and cheated with a Perkins waitress.  It was much worse, much more sociopathic.  And for that, I do hold that against him.

He's the greatest golfer to play the game, but a complete scumbag in his personal life.

09/21/2018 - 2:12pm I wouldn't call it balanced…

I wouldn't call it balanced.  Its 13-8 in our favor.  We had 9 victories in a row (and it if it wasn't for taking a year off playing them, it'd would have been 10 victories in a row).  They had 4 game win streak against us when we were butt under RR and Hoke.

Good program though for sure, just not a rival.

09/21/2018 - 11:56am Ok. Here’s my cool story bro…

Ok. Here’s my cool story bro. I met the Sklar brothers mid to late 90s, before they were big. At the time, I chaired the UAC program called Laughtrack which booked a lot of the major comedy events on campus. I got to meet up close Andy Dick and Jon Stewart. Well anyway, I was trying to get the Sklar brothers to open for Jon Stewart since he didn’t have an opening act yet. Sklar brothers were so pumped by the idea since they were still trying to make a name for themselves. It didn’t work out in the end, JS picked some no name to open.

Sklar brothers were nice guys. Glad to seem them doing well.

It's the eye of the Husker, it's the thrill of the game
Risin' up to the challenge of our rival

And were watchin' us all with the eye of the Husker
