OSU fans on our title game run
Some are salty, some a bit more reasonable, but most are quite unhappy that we are playing in the title game:

I could not care less what any Buckeye fan thinks about anything, especially not our performance in a tournament they were eliminated from weeks ago.
hard draw, and mean like, really, and Michigan has played nobody.
I don't know why them being eliminated reduces your caring for their opinions.
I for one appreciate the range of opinions - it's clear there are rational elements of their fanbase, and those that appreciate the way in which Beilein has built the program. I hope we would feel the same way about a clean, hard working OSU basketball program.
It is also interesting to hear how divergent the opinions are between basketball and football. I suspect our fanbse would draw similar distinctions between the two sports
Did you see the types of classes that Matta was landing in his heyday? Kentucky type classes at freaking Ohio State? Dude was not clean
Yet he replaced the disgraced and sanctioned O'Brien. Matta was supposed to be the Beilein for osu after the academic scandal and TAs doing player's work.
Tattgate overshadows it, but nobody ever remembers osu pre-Matta unless you're talking Fab Five era Jimmy Jackson.
Seriously, I hate these threads.
Have some dignity.
Who fucking cares about buckeyes or spartans or domers or dukies?!
Agreed. But I wouldn't be to the point of Ohio State fanz going to a hypothetical situation of rooting for Bin Laden over their team. (Says a lot about them.) As for the game itself, I wouldn't bother watching.
Thankfully I have an excellent reason for viewing some basketball on Monday night. Go Blue!
As a NYC resident during a certain time who if the attack were 14 hours prior or later would have been in the middle of a horrible time, I respectfully ask that you get your priorities straight.
to even know that he's dead. Since it was Obama who brought him down, they probably think it was fake news..
He died in 2003 from kidney failure.
I'd be rooting for any Big Ten team EXCEPT OSU and MSU.
Pretty sure I've looked into the future and you will not ever have to worry about seeing that school in cbus being in a basketball title game in the next fifty years. Book it!!!
If OSU was playing Villanova tomorrow, I would be outfitted in a 'Nova shirt, hat, pants, socks, shoes, underwear, and - for those private, special moments - cock ring...
I wouldn't really call that 'rooting', though. Using logic to choose a winner is very different from cheering for a team to win. No skin in the game? No 'logical' reason otherwise? And you're still pulling for them? Okay, that's rooting for them. And that is UNACCEPTABLE!!
I still wouldn't root for them in that instance. Winning the pool would just be consolation in case of a UF loss.
I wouldn't buy gear of the opponent (that's taking it too far), but I'd pull for them over OSU or Sparty.
IU with Crean would have been tough. PSU as well. (Chambers seems like a perfectly fine guy but I can't wish the Joebot fans a national title.)
I think I'd root for the rest of the Big Ten.
Can die in a fire. Fillthy pedophile enablers.
Would you root for a historic rival in a sport in which you may or may not be recruiting the same damn players?
I think that’s an oxymoron
If Cooper was the one wrapped up in that scandal, given his 2-10-1 record against Michigan, his ass would’ve been run out of Columbus and never would’ve been invited back.
I also think too that given how awful some situations have been at other schools since OSU’s Tat-Gate, Tressel’s transgressions are minuscule by comparison.
"Unless you engaged in some Baylor/PSU level shit, everyone will look past your flaws..."
Explain MSU, please. I mean, I agree with you, I just want to know why/how MSU hasn't been utterly destroyed, yet.
I get you can argue the severity of some of these transgressions, but like, dude got fired for letting a lot of NCAA violations knowingly occur, then lied about it.
Dude got hired with a cloud of NCAA violations hanging over his head. Now OSU didn't know they were hiring the Michigan giant-killer when they brought Tressel on, but once things started cranking, ethics and above-board operating became less and less important. The fact that OSU turned to another ethically questionable coach in Meyer further illustrates the point that Michigan and OSU are not operating from the same moral core when it comes to athletic competition. OSU wants to win, at any cost, period.
You might want to reflect on the ethical conduct of OSU v. UM institutions:
Worst recent scandal at OSU: players trade things they own for tats, football coach learns about it and fails to report it, then lies to NCAA about it. The athletic department learns that the coach knew about the tats, and reports the violation to the NCAA.
Worst recent scandal at UM: kicker rapes a women while he is a freshman, and OL threatens her. Everybody at UM -- all the way up to the Board of Trustees -- knows about it for years, and does nothing. The OL is eventually named a team captain. The kicker is not kicked off the team team until the end of his senior year.
Beating such a great team like Nova and winning a title as the first big ten team in nearly 20 years would be amazing.
To which you could say, "If our path was so easy, how come no one else could beat those teams?"
And in 2000, MSU played the Sweet 16/Elite Eight at the Palace of Auburn Hills, then faced #8 and #5 seeds in the Final Four.
Get ready for amazing then TaiStreetsMy Hero.
"It would be torcher watching them cut down the nets." - OSU Fan/Likely graduate.
they get the most out of their torches.
....more than likely staee undergrad who went on to THEEEEEEEEEEEEE ohio for PhD work. Wonder if they have Jets Pizza in cbus???
