I don't see a new banner. I presume you're asking the banner be changed to something about basketball. I'd agree. Also, don't we usually do posbangs after something good happens?

I always eat the lemon too

There's a big problem with relegation in college football, which is you can't relegate teams without them signing on to it and there's no way a school will give up tens of millions of dollars for a demotion. No one is in charge of college football. That made it quirky but now I feel it's a problem.

12/11/2018 - 9:56am I was never a big drinker…

I was never a big drinker but had a solid run when I was 18. I thought at the time "Oh I guess I just don't get hangovers". Now I'm in the same boat. I find drinking water is even more important than it used to be if I'm drinking alcohol.

12/11/2018 - 9:50am Dabs are gross. I don't know…

Dabs are gross. I don't know why anyone would smoke that stuff. The only positive of it would be ease of transport and being compact. I didn't feel any higher. Just my head was cloudier and it was harsh on my lungs.

It being a grayshirt is a pretty important point you omitted. I think it's pretty well accepted that sons of players and coaches tend to be knowledgeable about the game even if they're not terrible talented, which is a nice thing to have and better than nepotism. Is it even nepotism? Doesn't seem so.

12/10/2018 - 6:22pm I'm much more interested in…

I'm much more interested in getting Harrison than Haskins leaving. It's not like Martell will be crap. We don't need all the 5 stars but it certainly helps having a few game changers. Would have been nice if one of those had been a safety.

12/10/2018 - 5:29pm Always crazy to see rent…

Always crazy to see rent prices in big cities in America. I live in Seoul and I pay a little less than 550 a month for a studio apartment. About 400 square feet I think. I don't know the exact size. Anyway its not big but it's also just fine for me. I'm in a very central area right near the train station, 2 subway lines, and a lot of buses. It's not a rich area but a nice thing here is crime isn't an issue when choosing a neighborhood.

I did actually have to put a deposit of 5000 dollars down but I get that back whenever I go. It's the system in Korea and Japan. In fact 5000 is low.

Utilities are cheap too. Paid 3 bucks for gas last month. Internet is 10 bucks a month with the fastest download speeds in the world. Health care as well, which is one of my biggest concerns about moving back to America. I got my MRI here for 250.

Then what's level 2?

12/09/2018 - 6:41pm Shmangela?

Shmangela?

12/09/2018 - 12:46am I'll keep repeating it but…

I'll keep repeating it but we're not at Harbaugh's ceiling and it's dumb to think so. Michigan's offense vastly improved over last year with an upgrade at QB and with Warriner and not losing too many players. Next year we'll likely have the same QB but now better able to run a passing game like Harbaugh wants, continuity with Warriner, and almost everyone else back on offense. I expect the offense to take another big leap next year. Barring tons of injuries, if Michigan doesn't have a top 10 S&P+ offense I'd be really surprised.

12/09/2018 - 12:34am Well losing Hill is…

Well losing Hill is obviously a huge disappointment but we still might get Harrison and Karlaftis seemed far more dependent on Brohm leaving. It's not like Karlaftis is going to a program with a better chance of a conference or national championship.

12/08/2018 - 6:41pm And your "evidence" says…

And your "evidence" says this is the end of Michigan's progress on offense? This was probably Harbaugh's best offense at Michigan, and it returns nearly everyone.

12/08/2018 - 10:43am Ugh. This isn't Harbaugh's…

Ugh. This isn't Harbaugh's preferred offense. He's still working with an inexperienced QB and WRs. So tired of people acting like this is as good as a Harbaugh offense gets. The guy had a top 6 S&P+ offense his last 2 years at Stanford. Yes he had Luck but Shea is probably just as talented and it's not like they were recruiting like Alabama there.

12/07/2018 - 11:48am Totally agreed. Brian…

Totally agreed. Brian already wrote a long piece on him when all this went down before the season. Nothing about that has changed. And no one can say how things will go with Day, so I'm not sure what he's supposed to say about that either. Like we really need to hear more about Urban.

Jesus. So did I. Thought it was just a typo.

Won't embed, but I believe Scott took a trip to China recently.

12/05/2018 - 9:42am I think if you played a 7…

I think if you played a 7 game series in 2016 and 2018, Michigan wins those. OSU was obviously better in 15 and 17. The narratives spun out of only 4 games is insane.

12/05/2018 - 9:38am I don't like Urban but the…

I don't like Urban but the idea that he retired because he was afraid of losing the next 6 straight is absurd. He's one of the best on field coaches the game has seen. Sorry but that's the truth. Harbaugh can reach that too though in my opinion. I wanted him to beat Meyer once but if he's getting into the playoffs and winning a couple no one's going to give a damn he didn't beat Meyer while still in rebuilding mode.

12/04/2018 - 1:59am A few in the media like…

A few in the media like Feldman and Hinton keep talking about expanding to 8 but don't mention logistics. They'd have to play home games. Think of how unfair it'd be having Big Ten teams traveling to literally the opposite sides of the country (LA, New Orleans, Miami) for up to 3 games.

In regards to the OP, I'm tired of the matchups too, but I don't think it's the playoffs fault. It's because Clemson (helped by a weak ACC) and Alabama have been so dominant. Texas is down, USC is down, Michigan is still climbing its way back. Having said that, the playoffs do make it nearly impossible for a program as good as Alabama NOT to get in. Alabama would not have been in a BCS-style championship game last year. It'll be a lot more fun when Michigan crashes the party.

12/04/2018 - 1:24am You were the guy talking…

You were the guy talking about starting true freshmen just a couple posts above.

12/02/2018 - 12:14pm I don't think that's nearly…

I don't think that's nearly as big a deal as different OC.

12/02/2018 - 12:13pm It's like people don't know…

It's like people don't know the OC is Harbaugh.

12/02/2018 - 11:17am Speaking of that. I knew…

Speaking of that. I knew there were a couple mgoblog articles I had missed recently. Looked back through and one was the story on Kinnel. Started reading it and just felt awful. Seemed it was really well done, but I couldn't continue.

12/02/2018 - 1:28am No way man. I really think…

No way man. I really think Harbaugh needs to incorporate some zone read and shotgun/pistol next year...

12/02/2018 - 1:25am Nothing has changed in…

Nothing has changed in Michigan football in the past decade, huh? I can't believe this is getting upvotes.

12/02/2018 - 1:23am But didn't they already have…

But didn't they already have Oklahoma in last week? There's no way they could switch places after this weekend.

12/02/2018 - 12:56am Michigan fans think every…

Michigan fans think every year will be a national championship run. That's not a Shea thing. Shea was a true freshman in regards to playing in any kind of passing offense like Harbaugh likes to run. But you're right, nothing is going to change. It's not like this offense isn't worlds better than last year. And nearly every returning starter? Experience clearly doesn't matter.

12/02/2018 - 12:52am Obviously that's not…

Obviously that's not happening, but they actually might and at least on the field I feel like that'd be awesome. Not sure you can really argue Kiffin isn't a good OC.

12/02/2018 - 12:44am That's probably why we don't…

That's probably why we don't say "no hate lost"...

Natural language isn't logical. If I say "I didn't eat ALL of the cookies." Logically, it just means there's some cookie(s) I didn't eat. It would be entirely possible I didn't eat any. But when we say that we're implying we ate some of the cookies.

12/02/2018 - 12:38am Kyler Murray? Baker Mayfield…

Kyler Murray? Baker Mayfield? Minshew? Not sure if the first 2 were playing time issues though.

12/02/2018 - 12:34am Considering there are 118…

Considering there are 118 teams or so in Division I, that'd be a hell of a shot in the dark to even make a guess at.

12/02/2018 - 12:28am Just to mention, Michigan…

Just to mention, Michigan doesn't play Purdue unless they meet in the conference championship, which is entirely possible of course.

12/02/2018 - 12:26am AFTER spring? That would be…

AFTER spring? That would be odd, no? Or he needs to get through next semester to grad transfer? I assume he wouldn't be practicing during spring though if everyone knows he's gone. Otherwise he's just taking reps.

12/02/2018 - 12:21am It gets ridiculous here…

It gets ridiculous here sometimes. Yes, Ann Arbor is nice and Michigan is a great school. You can also have a nice life virtually anywhere else, at least in this country. Very few football players are basing their decision largely on academics anyway, but you can actually get a good education elsewhere.

12/02/2018 - 12:18am He quit basketball his…

He quit basketball his senior year? Or football?

12/02/2018 - 12:15am 2 premier bowl games in 4…

2 premier bowl games in 4 years after taking over a program that didn't even make a bowl in Hoke's last year? What a bum Harbaugh is. Clearly this is the ceiling.

12/02/2018 - 12:10am Mandel has the same. But…

Mandel has the same. But SBnation predicts us facing LSU. Really hope we don't get Florida again.

12/01/2018 - 7:56am Not what he said.

Not what he said.

12/01/2018 - 3:23am Well he said that's what…

Well he said that's what people were saying but it's not actually true because of Brazdeikis. But yes, it was a good class anyway. I guess he means because it wasn't full of McDonald's AA but who cares? Obviously Beilein can get by without those players.

12/01/2018 - 3:22am True but I don't think most…

True but I don't think most games will be like that. It seemed like Livers played way less at the 5 in that game and didn't get all that many minutes, period. I don't think Teske will be averaging over 30 minutes.

11/29/2018 - 11:11pm Never go full Portnoy.

Never go full Portnoy.

11/29/2018 - 11:06pm People don't actually think…

People don't actually think this is Marcus Ray, do they? He's an obvious troll who joined just a couple days ago. Just downvote and move on.

11/29/2018 - 9:24pm Zero ties? His mom went to…

Zero ties? His mom went to OSU and wants him to do the same is what I read.

11/29/2018 - 9:08pm "The play took too long to…

"The play took too long to develop and made it too hard for Shea to find the right read."

How do you know it was too hard? Because he made a mistake. This is just circular reasoning. You keep calling about creativity and it seems your only real suggestion has been more arm punts. Or look at the Rams and see how I " feel" about the passing game. I just find it laughable how everyone is diagnosing the offense but then shows no knowledge of football Xs and Os beyond what I know, which isn't much.

The WRs are still young and it looks like Patterson played in an incredibly simple pass offense last year so he probably can't make a lot of reads. Plus the OL struggled in this game. None of those starters were seniors. I don't think they need to bring in anyone new. They'll be much improved with another year of practice.

11/29/2018 - 2:01am Offensive rating isn't…

Offensive rating isn't pegged so that 100 is the average for all players, right? I always forget what a solid offensive rating is.

11/29/2018 - 1:47am Great to hear. They were…

Great to hear. They were saying it was loud and obviously the crowd looked pretty fired up, but it's always a bit hard to tell how loud it really is watching on TV. Depends how loud they wanna make it on the broadcast. They did mention the time no one heard the whistle on the dunk (I think that's the Matthews' dunk you're referring to).

I also don't think I've seen so many famous spectators at a game in Crisler. That has to look good for recruits watching on TV when Crisler becomes a premier basketball destination.

11/28/2018 - 3:54am /s?

/s?

That may be a specific use of it in economics, but actually no, the way he said it is fine.

11/28/2018 - 3:51am Nor is Alabama. Is he…

Nor is Alabama. Ah yes, we see it so often. The hot, successful head coach who self-demotes to an OC position under a guy who is known for offense.

Is he talking about academics? Do people seriously think that's what's driving most coaches? To coach FOOTBALL at a school with good academics?

11/27/2018 - 5:58am Definitely seems some here…

Definitely seems some here like the joking about hell, which I can understand. And I've definitely enjoyed some of his depressing posts, but I definitely appreciate this more. I think in part because I really don't feel we're in some hell forever. Harbaugh is still building. They need to make some tweaks but we're on the right path. Yes people will still be talking about our record vs OSU but they won't be talking about our record vs PSU and MSU. I expect the team to be even better next year. Probably similar level on D, better on O.
