Ok so sounds like this kid is a legit player. Started for IMG and had MAC and low level ACC and B1G offers (Illinois offered). I'm sure he'll be awful this year and it certainly doesn't speak well to their current QBs, but good for him and he may be a solid player down the road.

08/20/2018 - 2:51pm Huh? They still have their…

Huh? They still have their chance, especially if Shae is gone after this season. If Peters transfers out that makes 1 unsuccessful blue chip QB under Harbaugh. Pus with the amount of QBs that transfer nowadays, I don't see this being a negative for recruiting

08/03/2018 - 4:53pm He basically confessed to…

He basically confessed to everything. So he knew about 2015 but LIED (I'm sorry, he chose the wrong words as he was ill prepared). Why wasn't he fired before then? If you respect women so much that should have been an easy decision.

07/27/2018 - 9:45am If you want that type of…

If you want that type of content, there are dozens of other Michigan blogs to get it from. Maize and Brew (the Michigan SBNation site), MLive, Freep, 247, Rivals, etc. Apparently this blog's niche doesn't appeal to you and that's fine, no blog or writing style or for everyone.

I personally will continue to enjoy the content here, and I am not going to go to Maize and Brew's site and complain that they don't make enough obscure 80s references.

07/20/2018 - 12:29pm They stayed on him, yes. But…

They stayed on him, yes. But Carton was obviously the priority, and I think he knew that. But they did offer him so perhaps theirs a chance, it's just always seemed to be going away from Michigan.

07/20/2018 - 10:16am Rocket is very unlikely to…

Rocket is very unlikely to end up at Michigan. You can't de-prioritize a guy at his level and then just jump in and get him. He's most likely headed out of state or to MSU.

Is editing not a thing on new MGoBlog? Ah well, my last sentence should say 1st tier

07/02/2018 - 12:46pm As long as we consistently…

As long as we consistently finish in that 2nd tier we will have the talent necessary to compete at a high level. Can't get into that 2nd tier unless you prove to be successful for several years or sell your soul to the devil (looking at you, Urban).

There's no such thing as spoiling a sporting event that is over unless it is someone you specifically asked not to spoil it that does it to you.

All he did was post a crystal ball before anyone else. Hardly informative

06/25/2018 - 4:21pm It's kinda funny to me that…

It's kinda funny to me that his twitter was found out because I had suspected that exact account was also Maizen/Bluey for awhile, all the way to the peak Fire Beilein times. I asked him one time but never got a response. I also felt no need to let the board know I had "found him"

06/25/2018 - 3:31pm One note about his high…

One note about his high school competition, 7A in Georgia is about as good as high school football gets. Insane talent across the field.

Also since I lived in the NGHS district I have to bring this up, North Gwinnett has not "been pushed around" by the area schools until this past year. They were really bad until 10-15 years ago when they have been among the best in the state, but have been unable to get the elusive state championship, losing in the championship game in 2009 and 2013.

06/25/2018 - 9:35am Thank you. It's not the take…

Thank you. It's not the take that's the problem, although he was categorically wrong about Beilein. Everyone agrees that better recruits = better teams. And I think everyone was concerned that we hadn't pulled in a highly ranked guy in a year's span. It's bringing that point up constantly in any recruiting thread that's exhausting. It's not the message, the the style of the message that's annoying as hell.

Btw Reegs, is it confirmed that ShawnL is Bluey/Maizen? I had had that suspicion since the Fire Beilein late 2016, early 2017 timeframe.

Thumbs are supposed to turn dark blue after you click them but it seems like some of the don't stay that way.

I believe they just started working. all new posts and replies will have them.

06/06/2018 - 10:38am Can Maizen be any more…

Can Maizen be any more obvious? More concern trolling. I would be lying if I said I wasn't concerned about recruiting, but holy hell the constant threads and posts are nauseating.

06/06/2018 - 9:12am You're free to do as you…

You're free to do as you wish, but the game is not like Risk at all. What makes sense in Risk wouldn't necessarily make sense in this game.

Also re: Clemson, They had 1 rogue member attack each spot. It wasn't coordinated at all. One player was brand new and the other hadn't played in 20 days. We will be able to get it back just fine, we are 4x as powerful as they are and have literally been our lapdogs so far.

06/06/2018 - 9:09am Please do not. They had 1…

Please do not. They had 1 rogue member attack each. It wasn't coordinated at all. One player was brand new and the other hadn't played in 20 days. We will be able to get it back just fine, no need to freak out.

It me, kturnup on discord

06/03/2018 - 6:00pm JJJ is absolutely a Center in

JJJ is absolutely a Center in the NBA. And I think he’s going to be a damn good one. Anyone who is putting him at PF is wasting him like Izzo did.

05/25/2018 - 10:21am I'm not one of the

I'm not one of the strategists but Im active in the discord and try to stay plugged in. So with that disclaimer in... VT borders that territory and will most likely want it back. The idea was most likely worked out with Cemson that we just want the territory to stay in the alliance, doesn't matter who ends up with it.

Each territory is a free for all each round for anyone that borders that territory. Defending is essentially re-attacking that territory.

05/24/2018 - 1:14pm Everytime you post I think

Everytime you post I think Maizen is back.

05/24/2018 - 1:02pm Clemson has followed our

Clemson has followed our order to a T thus far. We basically run their strategy for them and have 4x the army that they have. There is very little risk in allowing Clemson to stick around right now. it protects us from another side and they may help us a little in attacking our enemies. If they ever went against us they would not be able to get very deep and we would immediately swuash them the next turn.

05/22/2018 - 2:30pm I gave you several upvotes

I gave you several upvotes. I am also on the climb to 3 stars. Only about 125 left

05/21/2018 - 2:56pm You can't really predict who

You can't really predict who will become DJ Wilson types though. He wasn't on NBA radars until January.

05/15/2018 - 8:53am Ehh the best teams don't have

Ehh the best teams don't have NBA talent but they all have very good, established pros that are in the prime of their athletic careers. Calling the talent "not high level by any means" is an absolute insult. The OSU team had Craft who is a great DLeague player already, Sullinger who had an NBA career, Diebler, Lighty, Buford who were all great college players (much better than most of the guys on this OSU/Michigan team) and have all continued in Europe.

Dakich would get his lunch eaten by Craft. Horfoed and Stu are probably the two best players as they've had solid pro careers, and Duncan and Tate could be good role players. But Donnal, Dakich and Kam WIlliams don't belong yet. They would be hard pressed to more than 1 game.

05/12/2018 - 12:38pm OSU has basically made their

OSU has basically made their whole goal in this game to eliminate us, and if they can't eliminate us, weaken us so we get eliminated. They are our Sparty in this game. Let's stop them.

04/11/2018 - 5:47pm Just FYI for your

Just for your expectations, Brazdeikas is not a pure shooter at least insofar as Stauskas is the definition. He shot around 30% in EYBL and 33% for his prep team. It should be noted he was taking tough threes, and his catch and shoot numbers improved a lot during his HS season this year so the trend could be up. It was deinitely awesome to see that article call himm the best shooter on that International team.

He's a pure scorer though. Finishes great with both hands with a variety of finishes. Hits 3s, hits midrange and grabs a lot of offensive boards as well.

04/11/2018 - 9:59am No. Max started for a Sweet

No. Max started for a Sweet Sixteen Indiana team that won the Big Ten

04/07/2018 - 11:37am He looked very bad in Spring

He looked very bad in Spring Training, so bad that some scouts were saying he is not major league ready as a hitter. So we shall see how he does after teams get some tendencies, I hope he can adjust because I am definitely rooting for the guy. It's such a cool story, but way too early for potential MVP talk.

04/07/2018 - 11:35am WAR is essentially a counting

WAR is essentially a counting stat, so yes that absolutely takes into account durability.

04/06/2018 - 2:27pm Again, Bamba and Brown work

Again, Bamba and Brown work for that example, but Bluiett still does not. They were a 1 seed this year and went to the elite 8 last year, 2nd round the year before that and Sweet Sixteen his freshman year.

04/06/2018 - 2:15pm Solid recruiting classes have

Solid recruiting classes have actually been the norm over the last 8 or so years. We just had a couple classes that were either slammed with unexpected attrition or missed on a couple guys we had targeted for years. Then there's something like the 2016 class where we thought we were going to get whichever of Battle and Langford chose first, then Battle screwed us up the ass and we ended up scrambling to get Ibi at the end of the cycle. All those added up to the relative dearth in talent in the 2015-2016 seasons that were also ravaged by injuries.

If we had gotten Battle or Langford, we would have had 9 top 150 recruits over the past 3 cycles, with many being top 100 plus Eli Brooks who was not top 150 but was recruited hard by some team named Villanova.

No they're not Duke level classes but if we can keep a steady stream of players ranked in the 40-130 range then we will be setup great with guys that will stay 2-4 years and grow and develop.

04/06/2018 - 2:03pm Uhh Trevon Bluiett is not the

Uhh Trevon Bluiett is not the best example. He averaged 19 PPG the last two years at Xavier. Scored over 2,000 career points, 2nd all-time in Xavier history.

04/03/2018 - 8:40am If you have bad spacing and

If you have bad spacing and you stop shooting 3s then getting to the basket becomes 10x harder.

04/01/2018 - 5:24pm One guy commented on Beilein

One guy commented on Beilein doing things clean and then described them as “Michigan’s version of the Tressel teams”

I think that’s an oxymoron

03/29/2018 - 1:34pm Seth noted the SMU blowout

Seth noted the SMU blowout loss as a reason that nobody expected last year's team to make a run. But he mixed up his years. We actually blew SMU out last year the day after blowing out Marquette at which point we earned out only top 25 ranking of the regular season.

We did get blown out by SMU the year prior, but that SMU team was really good and we were not.

03/29/2018 - 9:10am The problem of not dunking it

The problem of not dunking it is more closely tied to his problem of not having very good leaping ability. Mo is someone that I don't think would shy away from slamming it in someone's face, he just doesn't have that capability. So yes, that will be a hinderence to him in the NBA.

03/28/2018 - 4:34pm To be fair, Duncan is

To be fair, Duncan is essentially the starter right now. He plays more than Livers. Also it's the final four so all the players left are really good.

03/28/2018 - 12:50pm Any team picking in that

Any team picking in that range would be lucky to get a guy that can be a #3 on a good team.

03/26/2018 - 4:39pm Beilein's "system" of

Beilein's "system" of shooting 3s is how basketball is played now, it's not flawed unless you consider bad defense part of the system. Beilein was ahead of the curve. The game is passing Izzo by so he better figure things out.

03/26/2018 - 9:19am Richardson and Custer both

Richardson and Custer both had some injuries early in the year. If you go back to the point when they were both healthy, Loyola is the #16 team on Bart Torvik's site. This team ain't no slouch, and it probably the 2nd best team we've played all tournament.

03/25/2018 - 10:25am Based on the amount of topics

Based on the amount of topics about him here, I would say he is properly sung.

03/23/2018 - 11:36am Also their 2001 Final Four

Also their 2001 Final Four had them get wins over 16, 9, 12, and 11. Then they got crushed in the Final Four

03/20/2018 - 1:19pm That is slander to Zak Irvin

That is slander to Zak Irvin to suggest it's easy to get to his level. "Relatively awful"? Get out with that BS. He was a good passer, defender, and decent rebounder with a great mid range game and streaky from 3. If Ibi became Zak Irvin that would be fantastic.

03/19/2018 - 10:47am Well I'd rather play Xavier

Well I'd rather play Xavier than Gonzaga because Gonzaga is better but your point still stands
