Shea Patterson attending The Game?

Submitted by Michigan9 on
Seeing the rumor Ole Miss QB Shea Patterson is visiting Michigan this weekend? Highly touted in 2016 and with Ols Miss penalties possibly being announced very soon, might be looking elsewhere. Also hearing penalties may allow transfers to play right away. I don’t know much about him. Someone we’d want?

It would create extreme competition between him, Peters and McCaffrey. May the best QB win and guide us to a championship ... or die in a rumpled heap behind this OL and lose their spot to the next QB.

Ole Miss sites have debunked that he’d attend the game. But it sounds like U of M is at the top of his list if he doesn’t have to sit out a year as a transfer.

It is time we get serious about again buildiing one of the best offensive lines in the country.

JH recognizes this, but results are coming around slower than desired.  Get some more wheels in the cog.  Coach them correctly.  They do not have to be 5-stars, as WI proves year in and year out.

I believe JH is on his way to doing this, but I my patience is being tested.  Next year should see a significant jump in our line's effectiveness.

kiss team chemistry good bye for all of JH's career. It would just suck for every position group going forward. Plus, he has no real QB talent. He sucked this year and MS sucks big time. Have we reached the bottom of the barrel or what? We need an OL ... grad transfers, JUCO transfers, however / whomever we need an OL that can pass pro. This QB? That would absolutely suck.

If he is eligible right away, then yes take him. If he has to sit out a year, then I think you just trust the guys recruited to be developed.

and he landed at Ole Miss. Some of the activity that is (should) get Ole Miss sanctioned probably had something to do with getting big fish like him to sign on the line.

I'm just sayin'. Careful.

Geez so “ I fucked up recruiting you Mr QB so I will just take a transfer and can your ass” .. yes, that will work for the team long term program success. NOT

2018 will speak volumes ... 4th place is NOT acceptable ...  what does that translate to in a 14 team conference.  BAD and embarrasssing for the Staff.

Do we want to get involved with a kid who quite possibly is involved in the Ole Miss infractons? He was one of the random out of state 5* kids who went to Ole Miss during the height of Freezedom

I trust Harbaugh to do what he feels needs to be done. If that means snagging another transfer QB then I am all for it. I would prefer to get a capable transfer to bolster depth at tackle

He apparently was looking at us hard but he has some serious beef with a couple players currently on the team, and when that got out our coaching staff decided the risks outweighed the rewards.

The posterior part of the knee has a lot of muscular and ligamentous support to help the stabilize the knee along with the pcl. Conversely, the acl has to do a lot more work to stabilize because there are less muscles and ligaments that prevent anterior translation of the tibia.

I think if he is an option to play right away next year and not have to sit out it's definitely something we should pursue. If you watch his Ole Miss highlights he is comparable to what Johnny Manziel was in college (don't think Johhny Manziel browns). We could use a mobile QB with our OL pass pro being what it is and no guarantees it is going to make a huge leap next year.

Sure O line help is more pressing but it would be insane to not take him. Really good QBs make everyone better. Would he do that better than BP or DM? No idea, but you take all you can get. I love how people are talking about the guys we have. Well, they are a snap away from playing a walk on or a guy that has never seen the field against OSU. More elite QBs, yes please.

2 days ago this rumor was going around. SECrant.com. Apparently Shea is interested in Michigan and his PCL injury was not as bad as reported. He and his family made the executive decision to pack it in for next year. He will probably be able to transfer with no restrictions because of what's going on at Ole Miss. He is one of the best young qbs in the nation and Michigan would be foolish to not give him a look. He is better than Peters from what I've seen from both of them.
