05/31/2018 - 12:10pm with wilson in fold

carton seems most likely to be commit #2 and then shoot for stars with mcdaniels.

if not who else?

brooks is picking up kentucky steam, girard things have cooled down, would watts be next realistic option (in terms of take/mutual attraction)?

sounds like mcdaniels could be the best player since webber if we were lucky enough

thanks as always matt

05/14/2018 - 1:09pm 2-3 star students

gotta go somewhere :)

05/07/2018 - 3:06pm if

we got this kid wilson and carton that's a natty type roster next season

05/07/2018 - 2:40pm Disagree

In the era of three ball teams I don’t think we could be worse built Drummond is overrated Blake is headed for twighlight. We gave too much up in the trade. We are basically competing for a playoff spot and that’s it, for a while

05/04/2018 - 9:05am Maxey

Definintely seems all Kentucky.

Seems like better opportunity is here especially if Matthews goes.

As for transfer, we on so many top guys in 19 not sure it’s worth giving a scholarship up unless we get a player for this year

05/02/2018 - 12:04pm only difference is

i think moe is just turning 21, matthews gonna be 22 this year. clock is a ticking

05/02/2018 - 11:05am the rumor mill

seems to indicate matthews feels confident he can get to upper second round and that would be enough for him to go.

not that he is more likely to go than not, but i think the mindset of "he is testing and will be back" is not where things are at. his camp feels he really can go and make a team this year.

04/29/2018 - 11:15am Please don’t discount MSU

We do this every year and usually blows up in our face

04/29/2018 - 11:04am This x1000

Oline has to be better for qb to matter

04/29/2018 - 11:03am Patterson elevated the ceiling/creates qb insurance

But I think peters can also lead this team and be a really good qb

04/25/2018 - 1:24pm lewerke

i may be way off base here, but the guy is a really solid college quarterback behind an OK line.  Definitely seems above average and could compete to be the best QB in the big ten this year

04/20/2018 - 1:06pm ill take other side of this bet

lewerke is an effective qb. they have returning production on O (though much thinner at RB) and their D will be solid not great.

probably another 9+ win season for them

04/18/2018 - 4:15pm the D is sweet

how much of that is an oline thats WIP and QB carousel?

torched by psu,  and looked less formidable against wisco/msu 1st half and osu.  part of that i chalk up to having their soul crushed by an O that doesn't move the ball.

04/18/2018 - 12:51pm castleton

i forget didn't moe get hurt in mid part of the schedule? or hit a wall? he started the year well above that 8 mpg and trailed off/DNP

aka CC may start slow, but come tournament time could be contributing 10 mins+ a game.

also might be interesting to pair CC with X as often as possible and dejulius with Teske/Davis (which seems counter to starting line ups) as this will balance out the shooting threat in the PnR game

04/18/2018 - 12:24pm nice but not needed

with the 2019 board of kids (and a prayer if maxey re classified) i think we are better served saving a scholarship for someone that can play in 2018 or a 2019 recruit

04/18/2018 - 11:35am thanks/great stuff as always

be great to get maxey in 18 or 19, would love to beat out kentucky for once

04/18/2018 - 11:18am need

so right now a combo guard is michigan's number one priority?

simpson/brooks/poole/DDJ  so really we need a pure two? or point guard that can play 2 or 1?

04/18/2018 - 10:46am Thanks Matt

From your ranks yesterday you’d put him right behind maxey? Seems like things picking up with Carton too

04/17/2018 - 3:21pm thanks matt

just read maxey most likely a kentucky guy which shouldn't surprise me (though can't believe we havent offered)

hopefully we can land some of these guys

04/17/2018 - 2:39pm devin asiasi

sigh... what could have been

04/17/2018 - 12:25pm matt d - whats story in 2019

are we recruiting with 1-2-3 spots in mind (attrition)?

the list is huge

wilson, brooks, weems, watts, girard, carlton, maxey... where do you think it all ends up and how would you rank them?

04/17/2018 - 12:21pm need a 2019 update too

we recruiting for 2 or 3 spots?

04/17/2018 - 11:39am iggy

am i the only one who watches him and think he is over ranked relative to our other guys? obviously he is a sniper and a hunter, but his athleticism gives me pause.  when i see dejulius or johns play i cant help but think these guys are just as talented.

04/16/2018 - 10:21pm all 11 minutes

04/16/2018 - 4:21pm nunez

stroke is a thing of beauty

04/16/2018 - 2:38pm yes

if we have the greatest quarterback of all time as our qb this year, i would like us to win the east

and no i dont see shea as the heisman front runner, do you?

04/16/2018 - 11:38am haskins

6-7 for 94 yards and 3 carries for 24 yards, one of those scrambles setting up a one yard, go ahead touchdown with a QB rating 97.6 as a true freshmen against a top 5-10 defense on the road in the biggest rivalry in college football (cold off the bench)

a qb rating better than patterson has ever had at the collegiate level (91 his best against South Alabama). The A&M game rating was in the 70s

Lotta manizel highlights of shea running around making plays, doing flashy, impressive stuff.  but the best win between these two qbs is osu-michigan IMO. and he led his team to a win, which is the most important stat.

04/16/2018 - 11:34am fair point

and shea is definitely better than okorn or wilton imo, just not sure about haskins

04/16/2018 - 10:27am agree to disagree

i've watched patterson's tape from last year and i saw what i saw. in the end results are what matter and i think winning michigan - osu game trumps most games.  i hope youre right and time proves me full of shit

04/15/2018 - 10:14pm definitely not

but that's beside the point, my response was to the "let's not annoint shea yet" which we as a program like to do at times and that haskins has shown as much or more than shea with what he did against us in november

as i said, we need a lot improvement everywhere to be successful

honestly im most worried about the coaching and tactical play calling after last season (hoping its fixed now) because we have the talent to be very good (including shea)

04/15/2018 - 10:13pm agreed, shea has more on tape

haskins i think showed alot by winning the game as a true freshmen, down on the road which i think is as impressive as any of shea's accomplishments

04/15/2018 - 7:14pm 4th place sec west team

Is the benchmark? still doesn’t show me more than Haskins

Or indicate that his eligibility automatically makes us the team in the east

04/15/2018 - 3:43pm down 41-10 going into the 4th

spare me the garbage time yards

04/15/2018 - 3:24pm agree

haskins came in down in 3rd quarter on road, in the game and cut us up

and who has shea balled out against that is good? i get ole miss wasn't great, but shea hasn't shown up against a team with a pulse, similar to us in 2017

not trying to be a debbier downer, but shea isn't gonna just save the team, we have alot to improve on

04/14/2018 - 3:22pm rain and 34 from 5-7

is what i see on yes it was the right decision to cancel.

04/14/2018 - 11:30am THANK YOU MOE

I hope another first rounder under beilein

and time for JB to climb the mountain again. Won’t be betting against him

04/13/2018 - 2:35pm agreed

the "this is the year we take our rivals seriously" has run its course.

got to show up and get results before i buy it

04/13/2018 - 2:32pm how many games is shea worth?

wins above replacement? i'd say 1-2... o line still more important in my mind.

04/13/2018 - 2:28pm based on the last decade

its more or less about average

though psu doesn't scare me (last year an abberation relative to last 4 years)

04/12/2018 - 8:25pm Thanks Wilton

Good luck, enjoy laguna beach

04/12/2018 - 8:20pm True but

I do not know one other Michigan fan/player who didn’t jump and scream when that went in

04/12/2018 - 8:18pm Said it that night

Kid looked like he played for Houston on reaction and would transfer, got neg bombed lol

Thank you ibi, best of luck

04/11/2018 - 2:29pm agreed

but if casleton can provide 5-10 minutes of just stretch three shooting that could be enough (ala Matt haarms at purdue this year)

otherwise you hope teske and davis might be able to provide to the rim stuff

or, alternatively, we have the small ball PG-Poole-Matthews/Johns - Iggy - Livers Line up

Depending on where Dejulius is, you could try to pair the right point guard with the right set up (and hopefully Z shooting gets better)

summary, be great if castleton could at lease provide nice outside shooting while not being a sieve on the defensive end

04/10/2018 - 3:45pm high usage and mediocre turnover rate

i dont think we need him/not sure he'd contribute more than a jaron simmons level

04/10/2018 - 3:40pm if mo comes back

i agree, otherwise not sure davis beats him out

04/10/2018 - 2:59pm thanks matt

do you see colin being able to contribute ala matt harms from purdue last year in his freshmen year? 10ish minutes a game providing some fouls and some floor strecthing shooting?

04/09/2018 - 3:28pm Hawaii or Cali

weather and outdoors

04/07/2018 - 9:03pm great show

but i hope not. we dont need more distractions or hype. we need to win.

04/07/2018 - 8:01pm OL is a problem and we'll see on QB

i remain 9-3 prediction for next year

04/07/2018 - 7:41pm thought same thing

don brown's speeches are epic.  coach harbaugh came off as a family guy and one who definitely cares for his players, but some of the speeches were weird. not sure how holding a baby downstairs is like football? i dunno, it just seemed weird to me. felt like john and jack were better at getting the vibes right before a game.

best part of the show was karan and his daughter. what an outstanding young man.
