06/23/2018 - 9:46am Bluey,

Thus is the best,…

Bluey,

Thus is the best, most reasonable post of yours that I’ve read. This is a tone that will promote discussion (I think that’s what you’re looking for?), and stem the slanderous responses you’ve been getting. I think most of us agree with what you’re saying, honestly because it’s pretty obvious Michigan isn’t recruiting at a Bama/OSU level. The confrontational style of your posts is what gets old and isn’t wanted or needed on this board.

05/02/2018 - 1:03pm That's not how I remember it.

Didn't he first plan to resign at the end of the '09 season for "health reasons", but ended up coming back to coach the '10 season before resigning (for good) again at the end of that regular seaons? I though we all asssumed it was the whole cheating with a coed thing..... Maybe I don't remember it correctly, but I never assumed he had insider information about the Tattoo/Tressel debacle.

effect is only applicable to John O'Korn?

02/16/2018 - 1:21pm S&P

Adjusts for competition

02/16/2018 - 11:35am Yes, bad.

According to ESPN's FPI efficiency;

#71 in 2015

#84 in 2016

#105 in 2017

I think I'll give him a slight pass, considering the lack of QB talent through most of that tenure. Here's hoping having Shea Patterson will make all of the difference for 2018.

02/16/2018 - 11:27am So Harbaugh’s

track record is completely null and void because of one, injury plagued season where we saw young players struggling with complex assignments? Okay

02/15/2018 - 3:56pm Meh

I think this year will be a blip and we'll see the return of 2016-2017 level recruiting classes. Bama was able to topple Urban Meyer's Florida "machine" with less than top ten classes. Then again, I did say we shouldn't try to compare ourselves to Bama, so..... I still think Jim Harbaugh at Michigan and Dabo Swinney at Clemson is a fair comparison. It may take some time, but when (not if) Harbaugh has a game changing, Deshaun Watson-type talent at QB, sky's the limit.

02/15/2018 - 2:24pm Long post

Since you mentioned unrealistic expectations, have you considered your own? I don’t know what people are looking for, but Jim Harbaugh turned Michigan into a top ten program essentially on arrival. They’ve lost some games everybody would love to have back, and 2017 was pretty meh, but I think 8-5 will be his floor at Michigan. Anybody expecting Bama level dominance is out of their mind. We could go decades before seeing it again. B1G titles aren’t far off, people.

02/15/2018 - 10:19am I can think of

two specific times where Jim McElwain brought out the best in Jim Harbaugh. Hopefully the trend continues.

02/15/2018 - 10:15am You must have incorrect information.

You can't win national championships and compete with Ohio State with players from a 16, 13, or 12th ranked recruitng class.

02/12/2018 - 4:00pm Hey,

Didn’t you read the disclaimer that renders a response like yours irrelevant? Geesh! He already knew what valid retorts were waiting.

02/08/2018 - 1:47pm Answer the

last part of his post. I'd love to know, as well.

02/08/2018 - 1:37pm No doubt.

Hopefully there's a performance improving catalyst yet to be seen. I doubt it'll be staff related, but you never know.

02/08/2018 - 1:35pm I'm not subscribing to that.

Retrospectively, Michigan had a realistic shot at losing maybe four games in 2016 (Colorado, Wisconsin, Iowa, OSU). I see a much smaller margin for error in 2018. Without the benefit of hindsight, I see six games that could be on the level of the previous four I'd mentioned. ND, NW, Wis, MSU, PSU, OSU. I think it's a measurably tougher schedule and would be incredibly impressed with double-digit wins next year.

02/08/2018 - 1:24pm You really

don’t wanna lose your title of worst poster ever, do you? After all of your lengthy, recycled, bullshit posts, you’re giving coyote a TL;DR? Just go away already.

02/08/2018 - 11:04am This is actually a useful comparison.

It's not arugable that the best player to come out of this recent PSU team is Saquon Barkely. He was a high 4-star recruit. The Nittany Lions had to win a B1G Championship for their recruiting to really take off. It's really not that far out of reach for Harbaugh to produce similar results.... that 2018 schedule, though.

02/08/2018 - 6:43am Depth?

Pretty much zero, which leaves the program in its current state.

02/07/2018 - 2:31pm This is a lazy, dumb take.

nm

12/22/2017 - 8:30am Meh

People were still talking about the Bama-FSU loser making the playoffs going into that game this year. Losing to ND shouldn’t change much if Michigan wins the B1G.

12/22/2017 - 8:20am With the addition of my

cuz’s love, Jim Harbaugh will easily get 12 wins out of these guys. It’s happening!

12/18/2017 - 9:53pm Do you happen

to remember his recruiting rankings? We’ll be fine.

12/17/2017 - 9:01pm I, for one

strongly disagree with that. Kind of expect Peters to win a very tight competition and the staff to ask a lot more of him next year.

12/17/2017 - 2:58pm Don’t know that I’ve

come across anybody describing their Star Wars movie rank so perfectly resembling my own. Could not have said it better.

12/06/2017 - 10:09am umbig11

He seems credible enough to consider it a report around these parts. He mentioned in another thread that there were as many as 7 interested players, but that Michigan fans shouldn't expect enough room for more than 3. Also, we should feel very fortunate to actually pick 3 up.

12/06/2017 - 10:00am Well, Rashan Gary's

mom is pretty adamant about it not being a possibility.

12/05/2017 - 10:29am Re-think this, cause you're off.

Dantonio is an excellent coach, and MSU ran one FB "trick" play (some kind of wheel route, I think). Connor Cook was lights out, fitting the ball into NFL windows all day. Michigan had a game plan centered around field position, which worked until you know who mishandled the you know what. The 2015 B1G Champion and Final Four participant being "mediocre" is probably not an opinion many people are going to share with you. Again, why in Harbaugh's first year with Michigan should he be questioned for losing a game against the evenutal conference champ? Especially that game? You don't have to be a blind follower, but pick your battles a little more wisely when criticizing Jim Harbaugh's coaching ability. This year's MSU game, absolutely. Not 2015.

12/04/2017 - 4:37pm Huh?

It’s Harbaugh’s fault Michigan wasn’t a touchdown better than a playoff team in 2015? Okay

12/04/2017 - 2:37pm Van Jefferson

Looks like this is the WR the coaches are looking at for transferring.

https://247sports.com/Player/Van-Jefferson-33068/high-school-53515

Think it's pretty "interesting" that Michigan led with 31% of his 247 predictions at the time of his commitment with Ole Miss in fourth at 12%. Don't remember his recruitment, but seems like another good possibility, along with Patterson. For better or for worse, I suppose.

12/04/2017 - 2:09pm This is a great

example of selective memory. The majority of his throws weren't poor, it's just waht you remember. I think people need to spend more time watching full game clips of QBs who don't play for their favorite team. Tom Brady is one of the greatest, and that dude makes some horrible throws sometimes. I shouldn't even have to provide the disclaimer about making a Speight and Brady comparison, because that's not what I'm doing...... anyhow, Wilton Speight has proven he's a fine QB and very teachable. Most successful QBs would need better circumstances than what Wilton was provided with early this year.

12/03/2017 - 6:03pm I’d really love

to see a metric that would allow some grace to offensive lines protecting a QB with terrible pocket awareness. Probably not possible. While Michigan’s pass pro was nowhere in the realm of good this year, some of the QB play directly resulted in sacks. I’d even say 3 of the 5 last Saturday were on JOK.

11/26/2017 - 7:54pm Man,

I wish this blog could be a place where we celebrate memories like this rather than scream about the most recent set of unfortunate circumstances.

11/26/2017 - 7:51pm Well

said.

11/26/2017 - 7:36pm These are always a soothing

salve after the deep burn of a loss. Thanks for putting in the time this season, again. If this was your closing argument in a large court case and I’m on the jury, I know how I’m casting for my part of the verdict. This team, lead by this coaching staff feels a year or two away from some potentially big things. Only time will tell, but as far as my optimism is concerned, case closed.

11/26/2017 - 6:09pm Agreed.

Was hoping Speight could provide some competitive depth. Oh well.

11/26/2017 - 6:00pm This is the last place

you should have been looking when coping with yesterday’s results.

11/26/2017 - 5:57pm This seems way off.

Were the safeties the weakness on this year’s defense? Yes. That’s not a huge indictment, though. They played incredibly well most of the year, but were exposed a bit by great athletes. This year was a solid B- and both Metellus and Kinnel will be improved starters next year. Depth is the issue.

11/26/2017 - 5:54pm They’ve become

a top 25 run blocking outfit. C+ seems reasonable.

11/25/2017 - 5:27pm Damn,

I haven’t had to pay Harbaugh anything.... sorry your financial investment is going so poorly, man.

11/25/2017 - 5:18pm Huh?

I’ve never heard/read anybody utter anything remotely resembling what you just posted. Were you joking? Missing the /s?

11/25/2017 - 5:16pm I remember.

These are much better days.

11/25/2017 - 5:15pm You should be a little

more conservative with your use of the word “shredded”. OSU struggled to move the ball all day until the meaningless drive after the INT. Haskins converted some very unfreshman like third downs. Oh well. This defensive performance was really good against one of the best offenses in the country.

11/25/2017 - 5:08pm Yuck,

dude.

11/22/2017 - 6:42am No

Nope

11/22/2017 - 6:41am Maybe we can

ask JOK to ask Jake Rudock.

11/20/2017 - 5:28pm In three years,

we can start comparing where Michigan's depth should be in relation to OSU's. In the midst of year three, nah.
