Forget the coaching ban - the guy will never have a friend again. Selling out a guy on public twitter AND jacking up his wife as well just put Zach into permanent isolation for life.

Rutgers could actually fire the canon and likely injure no one. Too bad their fans fail to sell tickets to UM fans at a fair price - could have been 80% Blue.
Solid win despite some clear errors in the 1st half against a vastly inferior team. 42-7 in B1G play should not be disappointing, but it is. Thank you Delaney.

Sidebar about unpredictable wins:
Minnesota pummels Purdue (uhh, paging Marcus Ray)
Vols kick Kentucky (so much for any SEC depth beyond Bama and UGA)

And likely McNamara and Bailey following in the next 2 classes.
I think Hoke’s QB recruiting has scarred us to question every bit of QB eligibility.
|11/10/2018 - 7:40pm||Overall, solid despite…||
Overall, solid despite conservative playcalling.
Great to see Shea so confident and patient in the passing gone. Gentry and DPJ are a force. Oliver botched a TD and made also made a great snag for a TD. Tru’s high energy and tough running were a real boost.
Hopefully the right guys rested and the OL worked on a few more areas to prepare for a OSU pounding.
|11/10/2018 - 7:07pm||Not a great game by the D. …||
Solid but not a great game by the D. Understandably less than 100% sharp.
Run D was just OK (other than the 80-yard bust) and the RU screens had potential a few times - luckily Rutgers has awful execution. Winovich seemed out of synch (need to see the UFR) and Hawkins biff on the long run was absolutely awful safety play. Pass D was fantastic.
Guys played well overall and ran to the ball. Good game but below the standards of an elite defense.
|11/10/2018 - 7:02pm||My only complaint with the…||
My only complaint with the playcalling and conservative approach - the starters had to play late into the game. Hopefully no injuries or issues, but lost opportunity to pounce early and play 2nd and 3rd stringers throughout the 2nd half.

No style points in that half. Hopefully the CFP committee doesn’t penalize UM for not obliterating the HS team known as Rutger.
|11/10/2018 - 11:28am||DL could be very good to…||
DL could be very good to elite next year.
DT should be very good - Solomon has been hobbled with his knee injury, Jeter’s knee is just getting back to truly healthy, Dwumfour has shown flashes, and Kemp has made great progress inside this year. One more year of maturity will make that bunch scary.
DE has great potential beyond known Paye and Uche skills - Hutchinson should explode with a year of S&C, hopefully Vilain gets healthy and imagine if Harrison joins.

I just have flashbacks to Wilton’s hitched throwing motion that likely resulted from his severe break in HS.
Here’s to a full and mighty recovery in Dylan’s right arm!

Attended 7-8 games there and no issues. A little banter (NJ style) but most people just kept to their Rutger group in their tailgate area.

USC rarely loses at home. Plus, Helton will be coaching by for his job or the players will be rallying to his case - either way the Trojans will be inspired to pull the upset.
Very dicey situation for ND.
|11/06/2018 - 8:06pm||This MSU team does not look…||
This MSU team does not look like #10. They don’t even look physical like an Izzo team. Since Izzo does not develop skill or much offensive continuity throughout the season, it’s difficult to see them being a top 20 team this year.
|11/04/2018 - 8:52pm||I thought the D would be…||
I thought the D would be elite - it just took a little time for them to show their excellence. There were a few times when they looked good but not elite ... and I was a dolt for not waiting a few games for the excellence to appear. Incredibly, the D isn’t fully healthy over this elite stretch with Gary, Solomon, Dwumfour and Vilain among the walking wounded. Get them healthy and the D has even another gear above elite. At this point, I think UM is the only squad with a real shot to beat Bama.

Probably true. He is likely glad that his Saturday afternoon wine & cheese tasting with the Thoreau Society is not interrupted this week for a game.
Give him a lot of credit for his comments when he arrived at UM by admitting he wasn’t a football fan but learned how important the football program was the UM community. He has correctly supported the athletic department without losing perspective about he bigger importance of the university.
|10/27/2018 - 11:40am||Engler is a hack as…||
Engler is a hack as President - he cannot even handle a simple PR drill like this topic. No competent leader would play the victim card 6 days after an episode. Just say it was handled poorly by everyone involved and move on.
Then again, he has portrayed MSU as the victim in the Nassar situation.
|10/26/2018 - 1:15pm||Without Felton and Lewerke …||
Without Felton and Lewerke (especially his running), MSU should struggle to generate offense. Not a lot of offense, but any offense. The rest of the season will be a massive struggle.
It will be interesting to see how Brohm calls this game to get Moore and others into space. Maryland on the road could be a tossup. The game against OSU should be ugly since Urban will do anything to rebuild his team’s swagger. Nebraska in Lincoln is another tossup. They have to get one of those for bowl eligibility.

Always best to listen to mom!
Seriously, he should take his time and rehab fully. It would have been shortsighted to play at MSU for a few plays and re-injure himself when the team could handle the game without him. Hopefully OSU is a viable option or a B1G championship game or the bowl/CFP.

It looks like Dantonio got himself locked in the woodshed and wants out ...
Dantonio has instigated bush league behavior for years. Calling Hart short, where’s the threat, 60 minutes of unnecessary roughness, where did all the Wolverines go, it’s not over it’s just getting started, etc - all of it intended to demean UM and create hostility.
I’m not a theologian, but I doubt God would side with MSU on just about anything.

He could lose his next 14 games in a row and still have a better win percentage than JH to date. We are 7-1 with a championship-caliber season, but our 2018 win % is still lower than Urban’s career at OSU.
Not comparing the 2 coaches or the situations that they inherited - just showing the ridiculous expectations of the Buckeyes after a long run of success. They’re beyond spoiled.

|10/20/2018 - 8:16pm||First half playcalling was…||
Only complaint: First half playcalling was too conservative - the game never should have been tied at 7 that far into the 3td quarter. Great call on the DPJ streak to change the momentum so quickly. Don Brown dialed up a great game.
Overall, the team seemed to hold the right edge throughout the game. It looked like UM just wanted it more.
|10/20/2018 - 5:54pm||Don Brown and his Dudes were…||
Don Brown and his Dudes were outstanding (even without Gary). Lewerke was rattled and their rushing game was throttled. Great to see Bush & Dwumfour with the late sacks to slam shut the door.
Game ball to the whole defense.

I will always root for Michigan, but the last 12 years are tiring. Even with better talent, UM cannot put away games on the road.
We need an OC to match Don Brown to turn the tide in these tough games.
|10/20/2018 - 2:59pm||Welp, kicking their tails…||
Welp, kicking their tails with 170 yards to 49 yards at half ... but a one-score game.
UM either whips the opposition by 3 scores or plays super tight games. We need this game to turn into the former before a fluke play creates a score for them.
Score a couple of TDs to put it away quickly in the 3rd, please.
|10/20/2018 - 2:42pm||Defense is giving us a great…||
Defense is giving us a great chance to put this game away - just not sharp on offense and relying in a FGs is too conservative. The guys need to dig in and build a comfortable lead so the MSU weirdness is not the deciding factor.

Because it's spot on. One of the most insightful monikers that won't go away because MSU won't let it go away. The more MSU pouts and reacts with simpleton comments like "little sister", the more the moniker becomes them.

Either a tight battle with some quirky MSU plays or UM bludgeons them. Hope for the latter, expect the former. MSU has a stout run defense and the weather could mitigate a huge UM advantage in the passing game (typical MSU luck). BPONE says ugh.
I have no inside info, but the vibe indicates a very determined and almost angry group from A2. JH wasted a potential rout in 2016. I will send UM an extra alumni donation if this games turns into a UM rout.
|10/17/2018 - 9:13pm||My intent was not to…||
My intent was not to question his heart. It might have been a perfectly rational decision.
It really depends on the severity of JH’s doghouse and whether the reward is worth the fight. If JH told him that he would likely not see even ST play the rest of this year, maybe he decided the upside was greater elsewhere. These guys work incredibly hard and sacrifice so much, I don’t blame them for wanting quality time.
I thought Drew had incredible potential and would push to start next year, so surprised about his exit.
|10/17/2018 - 8:05pm||I saw him draw an…||
I saw him draw an unsportsmanlike penalty on the 2nd half kickoff vs Maryland and Harbaugh ripping into him.
Hard not to speculate that these two situations are unrelated. The incident might have put him in JH’s doghouse and he decided not to fight his way out?

Harbaugh offense? Shea for 81 yards and McCaffrey for 44 yards are a bit atypical for Harbaugh. First half was a tad conservative with the FGs and weak “trick” plays, but they finished well.

You mean the 54th ranked (S&P) run defense or the UW secondary missing both safeties and average before those exits?
No way this UM offense should be stuck with superior talent at the skill positions and arguably superior talent at OL vs DL. The dependence on 4 FG tries just is a repeat of 2016,
Harbaugh must get the O unstuck in big games.
