Congrats Brian and your bride. I found fatherhood to be the greatest thing in the world. Enjoy this time and try to take it all in. Then start saving--take it from an MGoDad!

Sorry Eddie McDoom you lose NOTY award to a young upstart.

I hope to god this is true and congratulate Brian and MGoWife! It's great to be a Michigan Wolverine

Now while not getting any sleep you can post more content!  Seriously, it's all true. I've got a 3 month old and I think I slept through a whole night one time.

That being said the whole Dad thing is pretty freaking awesome.  Congrats and Enjoy!

As someone else posted, if this is your first, prepare for the most amazing, exhausting ride you could imagine.  Also, prepare for people you have never met to inexplicably feel it is appropriate to give you parenting advice.

on whether Brian offered him a scholarship to the Univ. of Cook and if so, whether Brian has since told him to go look around at other families??

My brother-in-law (to my sister) used to talk about having a basketball team of kids - they fell 1 short at 4. I can only assume that, with the name of his first, Brian has ambitions for a football team. Got the all important QB position first, though!

I like when people post their "Future Hello" posts with newborns. I'm a sentimental father. But this baby... feels like he is connected with the board. Tens of thousands of MGoGodParents. Just don't trust us with any responsibilities.

Yeah, sure, Denard is fine, but I thought for sure Brian would name his kid after his true favorite -- Desmond Morgan Cook.

Congrats, Brian!  After a few days to recover, I can't wait to read your post about The Process.  Errr, on second thought . . . .

Congratulations Brian to you and the missus and welcome Mr. Denard Robinson Cook!  @ 8lbs, 12 oz, he's already locked down the B10 player of the week!

Here's to rooting for a future Michigan tight end. I'm assuming he's not built for speed. Congratulations. Fatherhood and parenting can be a daunting but always rewarding experience. Congratulations to you and your wife.

Just curious, but what would her name have been if a girl? Guess will have to wait and see, at some point.

Well done sir.

Welcome to the most terrifying, wonderful, spectactular, often overlooked and too frequently unappreciated role of your life.  You'll do great though.
